Haven't read all the posts yet, but responding to MK's. YOU BETCHA girlfriend. You get close to Bellbrook and I would meet you on a Sunday in a heartbeat.
Now I will check the rest of the emails. And yes, moving day is Saturday if everything goes through with the closing. Check still aren't here from DH's stocks and I'm sweating it, even though DH says not too. Damn, this is too much stress for me. Okay, I will check the rest of the emails. MK, we could do Olive Garden or Red Lobster. Anywhere, heck I don't care if it's a balogna sandwich if we get a chance to meet. \ Quickly, THEN I will read my emails (LOL) I lost another 1.8 pounds this week, that's 17.3 pounds total so far. I've noticed that it doesn't feel like an elephant is sitting on my chest anymore. NOW, to read my emails.

okay, so MK, WHEN are you and DD going to be near Bellbrook? Are you going to be on I-70 area? I could meet you somewhere near there. There are several areas close to that, Huber Heights (that's close to where I grew up), Springfield, whatever is good for you. Yay, I finally get to meet you. Cindy, you could drive to MK's and come with her!!! Kaye, how about you coming down from Michigan (oh yeah, that would mean that you would be in Ohio State University country), Debbie, well... you all get the idea.... Wow, I'm stoked now.

Kaye, RL was marvelous. I got the broiled seafood platter with the baby scallops, stuffed flounder and shrimp scampi, broccoli, darn that doesn't look right, but neither did the 2 l's. (HELP Princess Proofreader), and a salad with ranch dressing. I wanted fat free ranch which they use to have but now they only have the vinegrette's. But the guy went light on the dressing. I only had a little of the biscuit cuz the biscuit ho grabbed it out of my hand, little sh*t!!! It was suppose to be just Kim, Alyssa and I for a girls dinner out cuz Papa was suppose to be in Arizona, but he decided to stay back here cuz 2 of their BIG customers were going to be visiting this week. I invited him along this morning, he NEVER comes home that early but he called at 6:10 and said he was almost to Red Lobster, Kim and I about dropped over!!! And then Mammaw was chopped liver once she saw Papa.
We're going to take a wagon ride in the morning if it doesn't rain. It wasn't suppose to rain til Thursday but it's showered yesterday and today. Weather in the Miami Valley is hard to predict, or so they say. I think they say that just to save their butts. I think it's helping with the weight loss taking her rides, I can't get speed up, but with pulling her in the wagon and walking up and down slights hills, I think it's enough to work out. I renewed my Bally's membership and got my new card today. I'd left it run out, don't know if I told you guys or the WW and friends thread, but I didn't renew it for 2 years. They sent me a "come back" offer for $90 a year to rejoin. I don't use it much in the summer when I can get out and walk but it had bugged me that I thought I'd lost my membership. Now I have it back and can go on the days that I don't have Alyssa. They have free babysitting, but I know that Kim's particular with that so I won't take her, we'll just find a way to work out here. I was doing Dance Away the Pounds one morning and she came and started jumping up and down and dancing with me. She AND I were out of breath afterwards. I drank up a tall glass of water and she sat down in front of the dishwasher and ate one of those long frozen juice thingies. Talk to you all later, gotta write in my book. Andrea and I decided to write in notebooks about our feelings with food and our fears about losing weight and then trade them on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's and write back about our ideas to deal with it and give one another a pep talk in them. So, I have to write in my book tonight, should have done it last night but Alyssa-the-kid wore me out. |

I am home from a 6 mile run and dinner with club friends. I ran with a girl I know from speed development so we ran faster then I normally would have. My friend Barbara who slows me down some wasn't there. Barbara is 65 and does really well but isn't fast so it was nice to run a bit faster and it didn't feel hard.
Ange, must be frustrating and David Cook is a cutie. I need to go watch taped Idol. Better shower so I can watch Idol. I have three grad gifts to deal with and my son's 17th birthday. Took my son out and bought him running shoes and shorts and shirt and socks but not for his birthday. I am trying to keep him motivated. He doesn't run much but he is outside moving instead of sitting home. I took a nap so sleep will be messed up. That IEP meeting wore me out. It really wasn't stressful but dealing with my son's issues are. |

(((Debbie))) I soooo understand how draining it is to have a child with difficulties at school. It is exhausting and unfortunately not all school professionals know what it is like for the child or the parents. The kids can be 2 different people at home and at school and teachers never have 1 on 1 time w/ these kids. It is exhausting and humbling to be in the presence of a brilliant mind that just can't quite work in today's society!

Morning!
Rainy and 70 here today; got to 77 yesterday! Becky guess where I am going tonight? Yep RED LOBSTER! Meeting a friend there for dinner.....wanna drive and meet us??? Ange - hang in there - you will sell - positive energy! ![]() Debbie - thanks for the input about the marathon - I will probably be picking your brain more as we get closer. Understand about the slow friend too; that's why I quit walking with my friend - was trying to train for the race, and she would of just made me regress. IEP Meetings can be stressful!!! Kaye - did you go out for dinner? Kelly - what's up on the West Coast???? I'm thinking we all need to head out THERE for a visit! MK - did you recoup after yesterday? DS home??? Barb - you still recouping? Today is another busy one at work and then dinner out. Yesterday picked up four pairs of pants I had shortened and then went to outlet store for cards - picked up some grad napkins and plates too for DD . No party, but dinner out with family, boyfriends, and then back here for cake after.....Off on my hike; back later!

Well, busy and now running late because I was playing with my new
LAPTOP! Squee! Will take a while to get loaded what I want and trash the tons of pre-loaded crap it comes with, but it's SCHWEET! I'm stopping at the library on my way home to see if I can connect at HIGH SPEED for the first time in my life!! Saving all the updates and downloads I need hoping this is possible. There's so much I miss out on stuck on dial-up. Regular, boring surfing at home is fine, but when it comes to updates and media I'm thrilled I have an option to do those things easier. REALLY running late, will report if it works later today! LCF PSA: Don't forget to get any/all Mother's Day cards out today so they'll get there in time! Kisses all around, K |

We're going to wait until his grades are posted next week and then discuss what will happen next year. Until then - he gets a pass. Calmer for everyone! Piglet - it will happen. The right person will come along! Debbie - grad gifts got so expensive - that's why I went to whatever the year is! I'm up to 5 right now for $20.08! I took my mother's day cards to the post office yesterday and got there as they were doing last pick up for the day so they should be on time. I bought for MIL too. My husband would never have done it on time.
Kaye, that is great about new laptop. What kind did you get?? My youngest wants and Apple. Not this birthday. Maybe next year when he graduates. My husband is getting a nice bonus but it is all going to pay down a Visa that is way to high. It won't pay off the whole thing but will make a huge dent and leave something I can look at and not feel overwhelmed. I have lots to do in the house and would love to spend it on custom window coverings and landscaping but not happening this year. My grad gifts tend to be $50. The best friend of my son who is like my 4th son will get $100. They found an apartment by the way but it is a sublet because the women bought a house and has a lease to finish out. We want to see their lease because the rent could easily jump come January. It is on the Maryland and DC border and the rent is $1900 a month with everything but cable included and the laundry room is across the parking lot. This is alot of money for someone who makes about $800 every 2 weeks unless he gets alot of overtime which he has been doing. He just got called in an hour early today. I am dreading the moving process. He has to get furnature there and I am seriously thinking of a mover. I know we have boxes of dishes and silverwear from my MIL house here somewhere too. His friend has sofas and tables in my basement just waiting for this move. I think there are lamps too. My son can take a dresser and desk from his room and I may buy him a bed. He can take the queen in his room but he wants a different bed. I would have to replace the one at home for what will now be a guest room. It is actually the biggest bedroom. Boy when he leaves my grocery bill will go down. Probably electric and water too but then again I may be helping him if he is short on money. MK, I am busy with laundry here too. I also need to hit the gym and get a few groceries. I amstill thinking about a birthday gift for youngest. I am thinking of one thing but he won't be happy. He needs a watch and I would get him the Timex Ironman that can control his Ipod. They have it at Costco at a great price. |

Hi Debbie!
Kids are just expensive aren't they! How far away is he moving? If it's a lot of stuff and a small mover can do it in one trip (instead of multiple ones for you) it might be worth the expense! DH and DS15 are gone - I'm going to shower and get the laundry going again - why do boys smell? |

Becky, your weight loss is fantastic!!!!!
Kaye, enjoy the new laptop. Too bad you can't do wireless internet. There must be a way to get high speed out there. Do they do satelite internet service? If my friend in Alaska can get it you must be able to. They don't even have electricity or running water where she lives and there are no roads either. Not sure how she gets internet but I assume it is a satelite. MK, boys do smell. Especially my youngest! Ange, are you counting down the days??? My son has finally realized he can make alot more money in our county then the one he works in. He is putting in one more year at his school and then he will relook at changing schools. My middle son has found an apartment.I love him dearly but look forward to him being on his own. Not sure if he will still need our help but the house will be more peaceful without him. There will be less food to buy and less laundry too. Some how I ended up folding his laundry today. I had a busy day. The good thing is I didn't nap so I should sleep well tonight. I hit the gym. Went to the grocery store and Costco and made two batches of cookies. One are oatmeal raisin and the other oatmeal choc chip. My son has a bake sale at school Friday to raise more money for their prom. I figured I would make an extra batch for my boys. Sending some with oldest since he is home for his usual Wednesday night basketball. Tonight I will watch Idol and Top Chef. I think Jason is gone. I didn't vote. I think David Cook was better then the judges said he was and David A. was too sappy for me. I do believe they will be the top two. Bought my son the Timex Ironman watch today and found out he wants a video game called Iron Man from the movie. That is funny both things are Ironman. I have to go buy him the movie tomorrow. I haven't about a cake yet. We will be going out to dinner after I work to celebrate. Whatever the birthday boy wants. Can't believe my baby will be 17!!! |

Hey girls, I'm off the rest of the week, I'm going to Olive Garden tomorrow with my Mom and her elementary school friends. My Mom is so bashful that I think it would be cool to see her in her own element and interact with people that she's known most of her life. Then, I have a re-pap on Friday morning (the one in October came back "changes") and then HOPEFULLY the kids will close on Friday if John's stock checks arrive. I'm sweating this, I could never have a high stress job, sometimes it's nice to just change poopie diapers. If they close then I will have Alyssa for it and then we're all going to their house and look at the inside. We still have only seen pics of it. I cannot wait to see the kitchen, Kim said it's small (it's a starter home, the layout is almost like ours was when we were in Xenia) but it's been totally redone.
Going to check more threads then head off to bed, Miss Alyss wore me out this week. Too much Ring around the Rosey!!! She was doing it all by herself and her stuffed puppy tonight, couldn't understand what she was saying but you could tell that she was trying to sing the song. She got pi$$ed when she Ringed around the Rosey right into the patio window... she has her Mom and Mammaw's gracefulness. |
