Enjoy!!!

Edited to add: I'm going to check the ww site to see if they have any points info for italian ices. I'll be back!!

Okay ww etools says 1/2 cup restaurant prepared italian ice is 1 point!! Sounds good to me!

very cool, thanks for the info. Oraki
They also have all natural no sugar added ices.

We have a few different chains of them in NY. I go to Ralph's Famous Italian Ices

Do you have a Rita's Ices anywhere near you?
I think they're all over, I've seen them in NY, PA and Delaware

1. How long does it take to get over the fear of eating a banana?

2. Have any of you tried to do a "low carb" version of WW? results?

3. Did you have any difficulty at first with losing?

I just started on WW this week. I've been low carbing for YEARS -- but kept gaining and losing and gaining and losing -- on plan / off plan / etc etc etc. I got tired of it and decided to try and do something with more variety and that I could do for the rest of my life. So far so good. BUT I know that because of my binging and starving that it might take a while for me to start losing again.

Anyway, I appreciate your input!
1. Banana? I still have issues with them sometimes. I think oooohhhh they're high in carbs. I enjoy them with no guilt now. They're especially tasted mashed up in my oatmeal. Delicious!! My thing was grapes. I was kinda scared to eat grapes because of the sugar content. When they go on sale I buy pounds of them now. That's why I love ww so much!!

2. Low carb WW?? Nah. Honestly at first I was thinking about doing this because low carb was the plan that helped me lose weight. I realized though that I was very unhappy with low carb (hence the gain of about 25lbs) so I decided to try the plan as written. I do make sure that I get my protein in but I'm not trying to do a low carb version of ww.

3. Actually my first week I lost about 3 pounds! I was really worried at first but it's going great. My weight loss is fairly slow compared to others but that's okay. It works for me.

HTH

Hey oraki Good to see you, did you get to work in your yard today???

She actually likes to stay in and order takout. I am th e healthy minority and I can't really afford to buy my own food, so you can bet I will be stuck eating what the majority rules. Unless I don't eat.....or bring a salad. I really don't like Chinese anyway. Well I like a couple of things, but they won't order them and the yare high in points. Sesame noodles anyone????

OK, so I am back from the doctors. I had 2 appointments today but only made one. Bad I know...but I was really tired. I cannot sleep these days.

On a happy and positive note I did walk 40 minutes, so 2 AP's for me!!!!!

It was beautiful out in the park, but there were a lot of kids practicing baseball and soccer. Next time I will try to go earlier.

I cannot believe how hard and tiring it is to walk for 40 minutes carrying around all this extra weight. Someone I know that lost 45 lbs said she was carrying around the weight of a six year old child. Now, I don't know if that is accurate but that made a lot of sense to me. I wonder how old my child of 32lbs is????

But seriously, I am surprised at how out of shape I am. The only thing I can do to fix it will be practice, practice, practice. Right?

Hi Folks! Had a nice day today. I did an errand and then went to the Aboretum and took pictures of the awesome magnolias in bloom. I had a good time just wandering from tree to tree looking for the prize shot. I got several of them. I also stopped at Best Buy to see the camera that I am thinking of upgrading to. Nikon p80 It just came out. It is smaller than I thot it would be but that is a good thing.

Our granddaughter is here and we will be having supper shortly. We will be having steak cuz she loves steak. I am eating a salad first. I didn't have one for lunch like I usually do. I had one half of a FF turkey balogna with 2% cheese on Arnold bread. I had some tortilla chips with it too.

Sweet Potato Fries

I sort of got the recipe from WW BUT it said to dip them in egg whites and I didn't want to do that. I had enough egg whites with a "different" diet. Anyway, all I did was slice them into thin round medallions.. BUT I think thin strips would work just as well. I sprayed a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and laid them out. I baked them for about 15 minutes @ 300 degrees... then flipped them and baked another 10 minutes. I didn't add salt or seasoning, just ate them au' naturale. hmmm.. good. Quick and easy. FOUR points for the ENTIRE LARGE POTATO! That is a LOT of "bang" for your buck -- so to speak. That'll do it.

Vi I didn't get any yard work done. I sat down and became super lazy. Just keep at the exercise and I know you'll get better and it will get easier for you.

Sounds like you had a lovely day. I love gardening so I would really enjoy walking around an arboretum. Plus I bet you earned some activity points. Enjoy your evening with your grandaughter.
