 Tommie, they are pork sausages - came in my Angel Food box and I've never cooked them before. I think I'm just gonna cook 'em in a pan and stuff 'em in a pita for lunch tomorrow. I found some oat bran & stone ground whole wheat pitas today and they are really soft and fresh.  Quote:

Sorry, Mary...I had to get off the board for awhile & get some work done around here & forgot to rise to your "bangers" bait
This has been a weird day, too...booze & bangers & hummers, OH MY! (but much more fun...back to what our board is really all about, girls...) Thanks for the report on Kitty, I thought she had said something about needing to finish up a lot of school work during this week or two.Well, I got a lot accomplished today but I'm beat now...baked 4 doz. cookies (and boy did they smell good...but didn't taste...did not even smell them too close! They're all in the freezer ready to go to college with my DD this weekend...brain food for her Finals week.) And I weeded for 15 min. (my maximum gardening time, all I can stand to do at a time-sorry Mary!) And I swept all the @#!!@$ cottonwood tree-crud off my patio. For today--there will be more tomorrow no doubt. Hate that sticky stuff. And I did 3 loads of laundry. And I fried eggs for tomorrow's breakfast, and now have a dozen turkey burgers frying. And I brushed my dogs. So, I think I deserve a break.  Brandi, you just go ahead & pray for all of us...I'm sure we could all use a little boost one way or another. And good girl for resisting that devil-corn. If anybody tries those SF mixers Mary's talking about...give us a report! I live on a lake, for goodness sake: it's required to have a variety of summer adult beverages around here, preferably the frozen kind on a hot day

Kathy, sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do and I can get real obsessed about getting to the bottom of things. I have been known to stay up all night trying to resolve computer problems lol... Oh oh I gotta try to find Coach collars for both my cats. I love my dogs, but THOSE are my real babies.
Cathy boy did you have a busy day!! Wow!! Oh look .. the weeding is the one biggest proscrastinations for me. I have quite a bit of it to do now actually and well, I just keep turning my head lol... I can't believe you baked all those cookies... wow! You have a resolve of steel woman! Oh yeah, I was trying to lighten things up earlier with my BBs and nobody even took the bait!!!! Oh well.... ooooo Ing, Strawberry CheeseQuake man that sounds good... let us know how the egg cream turns out. Still can't do that one myself. And the mixers too if ya try 'em. The mojito mix I bought today was definitely not low carb. Haha Kathy... that's just what the Legal Mind in me thought about the tooth thing first too!! I was like what? She threw it out the window??? Well for me, first I woulda looked in the mirror! But after that lol...

I HATE weeding, Mary...I know this is awful, but I really prefer "rock" gardens to flower gardens
My naughty little secret is I'm slowly replacing all the flower beds the previous owner left with a layer of plastic covered with nicely mulched landscape & strategically placed flower pots & garden statues...much easier to keep clear of weeds. (Lazy, I know. Just have a lot of other things I'd rather be doing. And the weeds around here are insane...probably because of the ready water always available between the river & the lakes. I bet I could spend 2-3 hours a day weeding & not keep up with them.)I'm going to do some more experiments on the bevs tonight...trying the "taste of the topics" herbal tea with pineapple rum. (love the tropical-flavored drinks, so I have high hopes for this one. ) |

ME TOO I lurve anything that resembles a pina colada in any way shape or form...but I can't do juice
...and coconut rum (which is my all-time fav flavored rum) is the one that does have a lot of carbs. Which is no fair. That's why I'm working on alternatives for the summer... |

It was the first thing that came to mind!! ( Tossing it OUT the window!) And yes...cookie and ALL!!! I bought the LOFTHOUSE snickerdoodle cookies at the Grocery store~! They are my FAVORITE!! Well I guess you guys have figured out by now, most sweets are my FAVORITE!!! hehehe
But the legal thought never crossed my mind....its like the time I dropped my cell phone in the Toliet....I just grabbed it out without even thinking!!!! Ewwwww........ And when It did hit me that I had just put my hand in a toliet, I dropped the dang think back in there!!!! EWWWWW

Got another new cookbook today ya'll... Hungry Girl. Yes. I know. I have this problem see. Anyhoo.... check out the cookbook or lots more on her site. But, check these out gals.... see what ya'll started??  HG's Magical Low-Calorie Margarita (Entire recipe: 105 calories, 0g fat, 58mg sodium, 2g carbs, 0g fiber, 0.5g sugars, 0g protein = 2 Points) This one's an old favorite...and it ROCKS! Ingredients: 6 oz. Sierra Mist Free (or Diet Sprite Zero, or your other fave no-cal lemon-lime soda) *1.5 oz. tequila 1/2 tsp. Crystal Light powdered drink mix, Lemonade 1 oz. lime juice Optional: lime slice for garnish and salt or no-calorie sweetener for rim of glass Directions: If desired, run some lime juice along the rim of the glass and dip into a dish of salt or sweetener. Mix all ingredients together. Pour over 1 cup of crushed ice. Optional: Garnish with lime slice. Enjoy. Serves 1! Rockin' Razzy Rita (Entire recipe: 105 calories, 0g fat, 5mg sodium, 2g carbs, 0g fiber, 0.5g sugars, 0g protein = 2 Points) Hand over your keys. It's time for a Rockin' Razzy Rita… Ingredients: *1.5 oz. tequila 1/2 tsp. Crystal Light powdered drink mix, Raspberry Ice 5 oz. water 1 oz. lime juice Optional: lime slice for garnish and salt or no-calorie sweetener for rim of glass Directions: If desired, run some lime juice along the rim of the glass and dip into a dish of salt or sweetener. Ingredients: 1.5 oz. tequila 4 oz.
