I think the atkins people must round up......in other words maybe it was something like (14.8g -5.1g) -8.1g = 1.6g or 2g rounded up

Ahhhh, I'm finally back! Now I need to finish catching up on all you ladies!

todays eats were:
b: egg casserole
l: Market Toss Salad (if you have a Fudruckers nearby--I highly highly recommend this salad, but you need to be very hungry because it is HUGE!!)
d: white castle pie, roasted red peppers and jello fluff

Missy--on the bars it is usually one of 2 reasons, either there is glycerin (or something glycerin like) in the bar which they aren't required to count, or they have done some type of testing to determine blood sugar impact and therefore can advertise based on those results. There may be other reasons as well, but that's what I've noticed so far. On the glycerin thing, it seems to be like sugar alcohols in that it impacts some people and doesn't others. I don't eat many things with it so I'm not really sure what it does to me.

Lei--is Lisa picking on you today or what? Gosh, a job where I could wear scrubs all day...sounds divine!

LeAnne--you have had a very rough day (although you have to admit a bit comical probably for everyone but you!). I hope you get a good nights sleep and everything is much better tomorrow!

Anna--that monkey is darling but it makes me sad that he/she isn't with it's momma.

Alisa---woohoo on the 2 lbs!!

Lisa--very creative use of a small amount of protein! Are you having another crazy week or are you finally getting a little break?

OK, now I have to go back and figure out what else I missed!

BBL

Susan--that's so funny that you said the rush comes around 2-4 miles. I ALWAYS jog 2 miles--no more--because I am usually bored and getting tired at that point! So, once I get myself back into shape so that I can even do 2 miles (it's been a looooonnnnggg lazy winter for me!) I will push on and see if I can get the endorphins going!

Anna---you weigh in your sweat pants?? Good grief, you are crazy girl. OK, let me give you the official scale ho instructions (all you other scale ho's please feel free to add anything I'm missing)--upon waking go to the bathroom, then remove any clothes, jewelry, watch--basically anything on your body that can be removed. Make sure that you do not drink or eat anything, don't even brush your teeth because you could swallow some water. Try not to breath too much and do not do anything that could pull or strain a muscle on your way to the scale because injuries lead to water retention and we don't want that. Then----ever so gently (because you do not want to tick off the scale) climb on board. This method is employed by scale ho's everywhere and will yield the best results. Girl, we have some things to teach ya!!

Lucy--where are you today? How are things going?

Woo hoo!! How much time did you do?

I finally got through the T-Tapp full workout, stopping the video about a dozen times, but I did it!!! I love exercise........when it's over! But I hate it while doing it.

Today's menu:
b: steak sammich w/oopsie rolls, coffee
l: ditto the steak sammich, small salad w/chopped egg, ranch dressing, coffee
s: pepperoni nuked till crispy
d: not sure yet...I'm thinking of frying up some salmon cakes.
water: working on my 5th liter.

Well I guess if I actually want to eat tonight, I better get cookin.

Where are your veggy's girl???

I still don't escape from the veggy police after a day from hell? LOL
I will make sure to eat lots of vegetables today to make up for it does coffee count as a vegetable?

Susan- I can't believe you run that far... I walk a mile and I'm exhausted .. I'm so lazy. WTG on not cheating and on the pound loss .

I am walking 2 miles a day and going swimming this weekend though . My body is slightly confused... it's saying... what... you want me to MOVE? DURING THE WEEK? It's so used to doing nothing all day except at weekend .

Teresa- Yes you're spelling my name right cept it's a little a not A . And yeah it probably was comical for everyone else I think my whole life is a comedy that everyone else understands except me .

Lisa- is there any other way to drink wine than straight from the bottle? . Ohh and yes I also plan to give up drinking for good, the whole low carb situation (that I'm trying not to think of as a diet, cos me and diets don't go to together very well) is helping but isn't the whole reason. I do usually have vodka when I'm doing low carb... and probably will when I really really wanna drink... but so far, I haven't , probably why I'm in such a bad mood .

Is it bad that at 25 to 6 in the morning... I could kill for a vodka and diet coke??

WOE: LOW CARB all the way
Start Date: 2 Jan 2008
Cadet LCQ reporting for duty.............

OK I am down 2lbs since the 1st May...which goes to show that Special K is better than peanut butter.....so I just have 2lbs more to get back to siggy weight..............My goal for this month is to be in the 260's ...and IT WILL HAPPEN

My daughter decided to be helpful and made a 2 liter jug of Koolaid last week......of course she did not realise that you had to add sugar to it and was wondering why it tasted so bad Anyways i decided to add a 1/2 cup of spenda to it and I have been enjoying koolaid ever since.......it works out to about 1.5carbs per 8oz glass but what i like most is that it is not as sweet as Crystal light and one glass definitely quenches any craving for sweet for me...whereas with Crystal light I can drink the whole jug in one sitting..DANG why does crystal light have to taste sooo good.....ANYWAYS I have been reading a lot lately to keep away ffom Aspartyme (SP?) so this is a good way for me to do it.

I also took some of the koolaid and made jello with it.....I even added the cream like you Teresa...can't wait to try it later

yesterday

B - sauteed fish with onions, peppers & BBQ AND nut crackers
S- koolaid
L - chocolate protein shake
S - beef jerky
S - carrots with ranch dip
D - Hamburger patty & LETTUCE AND CUCUMBERS with ranch ( I can't believe I ate salad )
S - nut crackers & cheese & koolaid

1590cal 36g

Missy......your menu looks MUCHO better today....good job....and now you are making me feel for berries in my shake....got to get some...do you use frozen or fresh.......fresh berries cost a fortune in T&T....$50.00 for the small green crate

I would not know....I stopped drinking years and years ago.....but you could maybe ask someone whose name begins with "L" ...she might be able to answer your question

Seriously though...... I think if the alco has such a control over you, your mind and your life....it might be good for you to consider giving it up for good..............I really believ that anything that can influence you or your moods so dramatically should be avoided.....like HC foods............I pray for the day when you can get up and not even think about alcohol....you can win this battle chica....just continue taking one day at a time

You are so right......I was surprised to make it that long ...usually after 3mins I am wiped out..........the main problem I have though is that I find the handle bars are too far away for me, so i have to stretch to reach which makes my arms tire out before my body and i do not get a comfortable workout....also it does not glide smoothly .

I used to use the machine at the gym and I really enjoyed using that one ...it had a smooth gliding motion and i was comfortable on the machine.

My Bro & SIL lent me this machine because I was going to buy an Obitrek elite and they said to see if i would really use the machine if I had it at home before wasting my money ...

...now I am afraid to buy the Obitrek just in case the handle bars are far away like this one........do any of you have one...for those who don't know...here is a video of what i want to get

Orbitrek Elite - Turn & Burn Resistance Feature - Thane USA - Thane USA

OK I can't believe this ....I was just watching the Obitrek video and I realised that the handle bars on my machine are facing the opposite direction compared to their's ........if I can turn mine around the top half of the handle bar will be at least 8" closer to me and HOPEFULLY I will be more comfortable working out on it...ok i going to try to do some re-adjusting on the machine....WISH ME LUCK
