Hey girls...let me tell you this has been a day from HELL! First of all I had to deal with all the "Drama" on the boards...think we have it figured out though..then I got home and went to work out..had a great workout, but when I got to my car I had a freakin FLAT TIRE! Luckily some really nice guy who was working out changed it for me...now I have to deal with getting the flat fixed...grrrrrrrrrr...this has not been my day! I haven't even eaten yet...not hungry, just wanna go cover my head up and forget the world!

"You love me. . .You really love me!" LOL!!!
Sorry I went awol! I was here an there, started a thread and just trying to figure out what will make me lose! Getting frustrated. So to I finally gave up artificial sweetners, that and kept up with my exercise and guess what? I finally dropped a lb! I hope this is the key for me! If not then, I don't know, I guess keep trucking along! I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to do Stillmans or Atkins. So I hung at Stillmans to get some support, then I started an Any Atkins Induction thread to do that. That thread is pretty busy now. So I guess I do Stillmans during the day and Atkins for dinner. So far so good! Boy I was so happy to know you missed me. That's so awesome!! Thanks alot for caring about insignificant me, LOL!! Jen, love you pic! What cutie you are!!! Mary I like you avi, that's a nice view! Hi Tommie, Hi Shala, Hi Kim, Hi Kathy, Hi Cathy, Hi Everyone else who I'm sorry I've forgotten! ![]()

Dang! You guys left me and didn't even look for me?!
I am so bummed...the thread for the week that I started got removed. All because of that InIt dude. Anywho, I found you now. Even though Mary got a new avi to confuse me and throw me off the track(!). Diana! So glad you are still with the breathing! OK, on the adult beverages. I must confess, I had my first significant cheat with a non-"legal" substance today. I had a long island iced tea, which had carbage from the sour mix and the triple sec (I DID ask for the splash to be diet coke instead of regular, but you just don't know what was really used). Anyway, what is the best LC version or sub for sour mix? Would Crystal light lemonade work, or is that not zingy enough? True Lemon with some splenda? I gotta know...I love long islands and need to be able to keep them in the repertoire! While out...drinking....I ate a 12 ounce Stout Ale Burger sans bun with grilled onions, shrooms, and a big slice of cheddar on top. Wowie zowie, that was SO GOOD. I have now officially consumed twice my necessary protein for the day But I have a comfortable feeling of fullness that allowed me to just BREEZE RIGHT BY all of that FOOD PORN!!!!! Tommie, it's too much!Anyway, see you guys later.

LOL Jen... haven't had one yet but all this talk of alcohol is working on me!
Oh Cathy darned that root beer drink! Well, it sounded good anyhoooo... Kathy .... Limoncino!!!! Yep, they finish just about every meal with that ... lucky you! Love that movie too BTW - one of my favs. Sounds like you had a great day. Now Ing, I want a Long Island Iced tea... used to love those... man oh man were those good. Talk about put me under now though lol.... that's a lot of alcohol. You know what else I used to like? Tom Collins. Yum!

OK so I have the following recipe in the oven for tomorrow and it looks, sounds and smells so good.
Thought I'd share! Jen ![]() Low Carb Bacon Quiche (8 servings) Printable Version * 6 large eggs * 4 ounces cream cheese (1/2 of a usual package) - softened * 1/2 cup heavy cream * 4 Tablespoons butter * 1 bunch green onions - chopped * salt and pepper to taste * 6 slices of cooked bacon - crumbled * 2 cups grated cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a large ramekin or similar dish with a generous coating of cooking spray. In a blender, pulse together the eggs, cream cheese, cream, butter, salt and pepper until smooth. Add the onions and pulse once or twice to mix. Pour mixture into prepared dish. Sprinkle the bacon evenly over the top followed by the grated cheese - distributed evenly. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Each serving has just under 3 grams of carbs... and just over 1,000 grams of flavor! Mr Breakfast would like to thank Eggman for this recipe. |

Morning my beautiful ladies!!! And Welcome back DI!!! We've missed ya!
Okay mama Mary - I was supposed to be down 3 pounds today per my mini goal, but I am still glad to report I am down a pound, so now I weigh 141 I'll take it! Last night I ate my SHALA burger yumo! and I also had bacon- and then there were the chocolate chip cookies staring at me You guys will be proud to know I DIDN"T have one - wanted to soooooooo bad, but kept thinkin' don't ruin it Brandi!!! So when I got on the scale this morning and saw I was down a pound, I was soooo happy and that motivated me to exercise this morning, so I did a cardio workout!!!Oh, kids went to sleep early so I got to watch my Young and the Restless, and of course I was thinkin of the chocolate chip cookies while I was eating cream cheese w/chipped beef ![]() Okay who lost this morning? The wing receipe sounds good, but I would have to dip them in hot sauce- I love Hot wings!!!! Hey out I want to be a chicken wing member!!! I noticed his " I'm back is gone" they must have removed it!? Thank God!! Okay - my min goal for the rest of the week is to take one day at a time! To put in some kind of exercise - and hopefully lose 3 more pounds by Sunday!! MENU FOR TODAY B - 2 pc of bacon - 2 sausage patties L - another cheeseburger small salad D- might be another cheeseburger or hotdog[/color]

Good morning lovely ladies!!!Jen, lol.... usually I'm the last one here talking to myself. I love quiche and that recipe sounds delish! I don't think I've ever made one with cream cheese in it though. Does it make a difference in the texture?Kathy, after working steady since the age of 15, it is nice to have the freedom from work I do have to admit. Still since this wasn't a "planned" retirement it is also a bit stressful worrying about my future retirement income. I really need to get back to working so I can save for retirement!! What a sweet picture! It must be crazy wild to look at your daughter as a young woman. I miss my son. He's been doing the grave shift thing for a bit and I haven't seen him in forever and of course he never calls his mom. I know ... he's involved in his own life and family, but I still miss my boy. Brandi, I like your mini goal.... and good job on bypassing the chocolate chips. And congrats on that pound too - see? If you stick with it you are rewarded! KEEP IT UP!! Maui is just around the corner. On those wings, like Cathy mentioned when I make them I DO mix in hot sauce with the buttah!! Yumster they are goooooood, with or without.Well, I'm off to get some breakfast gals and figure out my day. I have things to do outside of course - beetles or slugs or some pest has already gotten to several |
