good morning my WW friends.
We are getting ready to Jury Duty.. hope they will send me home... sigh
I need to take the Parkers in to see my vet Dr. Julie today.. his leg is still not better.. and I am very concerned now, that it might be bone cancer.
So.. I hope I get out of Jury Duty... and can take care of Parker first.

I was down another .5lbs this morning... so we are happy to see that.

So.. got to run.. you all have a great day..

hugs

I may not have a chance to get back on later...

I have to go for a CT scan tomorrow - I found a lump in my neck a few weeks ago. I hadn't mentioned anything about it in advance because I just didn't want to throw any energy its way. I'm remaining positive it will be nothing but admittedly am a bit anxious about it. All , positive energy and good thoughts are appreciated!

Leaving for all of you...

Sandy - one good day will be followed by another. I know we can all do this together.

Patty . Happy WW anniversary!

Lou - welcome home. I loved reading about your trip. I've been to a few of the places you went to. Isn't that "rock grafitti" something?

OK - work calls. We have alot of IBM stuff happening this week. We are all getting new laptops (IBM Thinkpads, of course!) and will be switching from our old PC's and microsoft based programs to IBM programs. you guys

Jenn! Have a fantastic day!!!!!!!

Sandy, one day down.....six to go. I did pretty well yesterday too, although I did not completely follow my plan. I skipped the strawberry shake and had strawberries and popcorn (which I burnt) - and I didn't have them at the same time. I think I'm going through a carb thing. I think I may have to do some LFL protein days to make the carb cravings go away. Lately I've really been craving candy and bread.

Mel - to you on that lump. I hope it's nothing. I IBM. Yes, the rock graffiti was cool. I'd much rather have people doing that in my yard than spraying red spray paint. Did you see where we had a breast cancer walk on the ship? It was really fun and I got to meet some nice women. I was surprised how many of them came equipped with their breast cancer and "Survivor" t-shirts. And there I was thinking I was the cool one in my brand new hot pink t-shirt that I got at the ranch. Anyway, they raised over $1500, which must have meant over 100 people participated since it was $15 pp.

Monika - to you on that lump of Parkers. I hope you can get back to him soon too and find out what's wrong. I was at my friend's house the other day and got to see her Dane. He is a beauty. But boy is he naughty. He was in his crate when I got there (she calls it his naughty box - and imagine the size of a Great Dane crate...he can stand up in it. ). What did he do? He got into the pantry, stole a box of crackers and played "Catch Me if You Can" with DF while crackers flew all over the yard and all the other dogs chased them around eating the crackers. It must have been quite a sight. She was in her heels and all dolled up to go out with us that night.

Patty - I just caught what you posted the other day. They let you and some other people go midway through training? What a load of crap! Wow, this job thing has really been a whirlwind for you, hasn't it?

Lise - it's so great to see the progress you're making. Your doctor will be really happy. Mine....not so much. So you're eating lots of what? Veggies and fruits, I guessing.

Marie - I wish I could get DH to eat fish more often. Every time I serve it he complains...but he has yet to prepare his OWN meals on those days, so I guess he'll just suffer through it. I'm trying to add new fishes to my diet. I usually only eat salmon and always cook it on the grill.

Carol - you're making a quilt? I have two quilts hanging on my wall that my Mom made for me. I lay there in bed sometimes just looking at the intricate patterns wondering, "How the heck did she do that?" I remember when I moved out, my room became Mom's sewing room. She worked at several fabric stores before she retired and had - literally - BOLTS of fabric in that room. She had three sewing machine and one was just for quilting. She doesn't do it anymore, but I think she made dozens of quilts in her lifetime.

Rebecca - be REALLY careful with fumes and those birds when you paint....but you probably know that already, bird expert that you are. Yes, the mocha....ahem, I mean LATTE....ice cream bars are good. Really good. I like them much better than the chocolate ones. They seem to have a fluffiness about them.....hmmmm, I seem to have a fluffiness about myself too.

Gotta run here. My conference call is already 20 minutes late. I winder why he hasn't called me?

Lou

Just running in with quick and for Mel. Also for Parker. Our furry members of the family feel like our children at this point don't they?

I had to take Mom for her bone mineral density test today. Then we went to breakfast, Sam's club and Petco. It was a long morning, . My dad's decided to get fish for pets. I have no idea why. A distraction I guess.

My mom's printer has stopped printing anything except graphics. I've done everything trying to fix it, including deleting it and reinstalling it and no luck. Any of you gurus have any tips? It's an HP 2175 all in one printer. Of course shye thinks I did something to it. and I didn't. I think it fried it's little brain, .

Yes - They hire a bunch of people every month for 4 weeks of training and usually half finish it and they start all over again. My fault though since I had a few good jobs slip away so paying for it now Life has been throwing me a few more curve balls lately and I am just trying to move forward. Just trying to control what I can...that old serenity prayer over and over again

Sandy - Maybe you are right about the fish? Maybe a good diversion for him and supposedly watching them helps to lower blood pressure - to you for all that you do.

Jenn. I hope that you have many more, girlfriend. No wine for your birthday for me, it's been 15 weeks for me. I will take a piece of cake though.

I lost 1.8 pounds this week, I'm glad since I had the .2 pound gain last week. It has helped that one of the girls from work (she'll be 20 in July) is doing WW too, she joined last week but didn't have time to stay for the meeting. We're going to go on Thursday night meeting together. I've lost 17.3 pounds total so far, now about 52.7 (?) to get to my WW lifetime goal.

Sandy, I went about 2 years in a slump. Lou and I started out about the same weight and she passed me up big time, losing and losing. NOW, Lou, I think to myself that I want to be successful like you. BTW, you didn't post your pic for your avi, we (I) decided to do that while you were on vacation, so post away girlfriend, you can always put Link back up in a couple of days.

Kim, Alyssa and I went to Red Lobster tonight, I had the broiled fish platter with the shrimp scampi, stuffed flounder, and baby scallops, broccoli and salad with ranch dressing (they don't have fat free dressings now, but I think our waiter was mistaken, because I've got it there before, so I asked for it on the side and just dipped my fork in it and speared the lettuce. John met us there for dinner (we were going to have a girls dinner out when he was going to go to Arizona, but he canceled it to stay back cuz 2 of their BIG customers were going to be in town) and Kim and I about fell off our chairs. So after that, I was chopped liver with Alyssa. She's a Papa's girl, she and I are close (she's spendt 1/2 her life with first 2 years with me) but no one compares to her Papa.

Going to go write in my book, the girl at work (she'll be 20 in July, quite a few years between us.) that's going to WW meetings with me and I are writing in notebooks (we have 2 so that we always have one with us at a time) about dieting and our fears of becoming thin and then giving them to each other on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's and then we write back in the book to help the other one. So far it's working well. She weighs in the first time on Thursday night and she's scared to death that she's not going to lose but I keep stressing if she's counting points, she WILL lose. She's been on so many diets in her 20 years (like me) and not succeeded that she's scared this one will be the same ol' same ol'. But I hope that she does really good this week so that she can relax next week.

Bye bye, talk to you all later.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for me as well. The scale hasn't budged for me however.

Jenn, your birthday sounds perfect.

I'm also swamped at work here. My newest new client called yesterday and wants me to start working. One of my other clients could be going out of business soon, and this new one and the other new one are both brand new start up companies, so I will have to wait to see if they take off before I can cut the BUTT loose. So, things could be crazy for me for awhile. Now I have 4 jobs. 5 if you count the one I haven't done any work for yet.

Rebecca - you need to fix your stats girl. 17.3 pounds is nothing to scoff at. As a matter of fact, while you're singing my praises ( for that by the way) you must realize that taking my recent vacation gain into account, and taking my own holiday slump into account, I have lost less than 20 pounds from when I started. Yes, my friend, you ARE as successful as me now.

for Mel while I'm thinking about it. I hope she checks in soon with some news. And Monika too, with news on Parker.

Sandy, I have no idea what your mom's printer is doing. I had a printer for many, many years (HP Laserjet) that I loved. It finally crapped out on me and I got a new one. I've been through about 3 more since that. They just don't make them like they used to. At least they're not that expensive anymore.

OK, gotta get payroll started here. One more thing......my boss did payroll while I was away. It took her an entire day. I seriously hope that she can now appreciate what I do a little more. It's not all monkey work, as they thought.

Lou
