Kat.
Kat, changing your WOE to healthier, more productive habits, is better in baby steps anyway! That's great. You've ditched what's imp: white (anything), sugar, flour -- we don't need it in our diets, it's bad for us, and it's hips in the larvae stage!!!! Try having a bit of protein with each meal, and don't be afraid of healthy fats. The healthy fats are essential for many reasons, and keeping fat higher on a ketogentic diet helps us to burn fat faster and stay fuller longer, thus we eat less. The water intake is good. Try not to eat carbs after 7:00 p.m. If you get hungry, eat a little protein or fat. (PS, I never gave up my coffee)

PrincessNB, don't beat yourself up on the reps. You're only on your FOURTH HOUR, for goodness sakes! The reps will come. They're the least imp thing for you to worry about right now. One word: Form. That's your focus. That's the magic of all of this! Good work.

3Diva -- on the form!

Did another hour so thats 4 hours this month!

but i really really want my hips and legs so get slimmer as i only lost 1 inch from my hips and 1.5 inches from my thighs last time i measured, im doing callanetics 5 times a week and dont want to do it anymore than that and im not ready to move on to super callanetics so in order to reduce the hips and thighs faster could i just do more reps or would i be working them too hard???

Trish,
Try breaking up your rountine, keep doing it 5x a week if yoo don't find it to much, then in addition do the hips & behind a couple more times through out the week.
One other thing you could try is knock it back to 3x a week then on your days off from Callan focus on the hips & behind exercises.

Then feel free to add in extra hips & behind, do you have Super C??
If you do try the hips & behind(in Super C), its a killer but OMG!! The results are great!

How would you compare LBM to Callanetics? Thanks!

It has a small warm up and 4 exercises for the hip and behind. One from 10 in and 10 and the other from Super Callan. Im just using it as extra because this is my problem area.

For the kneeling hip/behind exercise, does anyone hold on to anything lower then shoulder level? My chairs are not that stable and they move/tip with ease. Any other suggestions, or maybe I should weigh the chair down with books to make it sturdy

Keep your arms at shoulder height, maybe even a little bit higher but not lower. Try your kitchen table/bed/desk anything for the kneeling exercises.

I don't have super C but i do have the book 10 years younger in 10 hours and it had more exercises than the video for example i dont have the open and close in the video and theres an additional hip and behind exercises and as well as this it has the advanced section which tweaks the original stretches slightly and makes them harder and more effective, would this be the equivalent to Super C???

Did my workout today and boy was it hard my tummy was shaking as a tried to do the stomach exercises so i can only imagine its because theyre being worked deeper i could hardly do all the reps lol

Completed an hour of 10 in 10 last night.

Lildragonfly- you look ABSolutely AMAZING!!! KUTGW!

As I approach my 10th hour, I'm starting to notice that my saddlebags are starting to go away, my arms seem smaller, my stomach is pulling in, and my butt seems higher! I wore a size 8 dress today for the first time in over 10 years!!! My weight is down a couple of pounds, but I think like Lildragonfly, I'm mainly gaining muscle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Callanetics!!!

I've been reading alot of the posts here and looking at the before and after and I just can't believe it, it just seems too good to be true.
Can I REALLY banish these darn fat thighs for good ?!?!

I'm in the process of losing weight and I'm only doing some walking every other day and I have lost some weight, but walking is not going to tone anything up, as far as I know !

I do have some health problems, mainly hormonal imbalances and also deal with adrenal and cortisol issues, so what that means is I CANNOT do anything too strenous, ie. weight lifting, or excessive cardio like jogging, basically I am trying to heal my body....BUT I also need to lose weight, so when I read about Callanetics I thought, wow, I think I may have found something that might work for me.

But again, it all seems to good to be true.......but I'm going to purchase the DVD anyway, what the hell, I've spent hundreds of dollars on other crap, so I might as well try one more thing !
