Cathy, I have heard that nursery rhyme so many times in my life that I'm used to it believe me. And to be honest, I've had my contrary moments too!!

Well, you do realize that I am only a gardening amateur right??? On lilacs... I don't know a thing about those, though they are beautiful and I want one!!! Usually when a plant is leggy and not blooming like it should that means the light is not right, like a sun loving plant in too much shade or vice versa. My BH&G book lists 5 types (one of which the "common" lilac has over 400 varieties) but says that they all like full sun and well drained soil. Several of them do say to prune the dormant old wood yearly.

Oh and back at ya my friend!!! I'm just so excited that you made your first mini goal!!!

We've been in this house for 3 years & the bush was already here then so it's not like a new planting. It IS leggy looking, though...lots of bare "trunk"...like 2-3 feet & then a crown of leafed branches. The leaves look good. so wondering...do I feed it? Do we cut it back? I LOVE lilacs and want more blossoms next year.

O.K., back to losing weight friends: I put a note of appreciation on the old thread...just in case you gals didn't see it: I 110% appreciate each & every one of you...there is no way I could have stuck with it this winter/spring without the patience, support, suggestions, distractions, entertainment, food porn, yummy sounding recipes (the stuff of food fantasies. Drool) and probably most of all: the compassion & sharing that goes on here. You're the best. And you should all be proud of each & every accomplishment.

yeah actually I did pick up one of those at Walmart ... these ones that Cleo uses are individual pans and they're smooth like a regular cake pan only much smaller. I actually picked up one of those Texas size muffin pans too at Amazon when I made my order for the mini tart pans. I'm a shopping junkie... what can I say... like I tell my husband, it could be worse.. could be a gambling addiction!! At least this way I have stuff to show for it!!

the size is probably about the same as those oversized bakery muffins...bigger than a cupcake. And way fancier. At the time, they also had some mini-bundt pans shaped like roses.

Brandi-Way to go on clean day.

Yeah, the flatness is usually from the whites not being beat enough, or be careful with stirring in too so you don't break them down. You have to be really gentle in that process. My rule is this on the whites - - if you can turn the bowl completely upside down and nothing falls out, they are just right!!

I'll post the recipe if I can make it work.

LOL ... I have tried MANY things with alcohol but never thought of this one. Desperate times often called for desperate measures and I have tried some combos for sure! Well here's my take, with root beer and spiced rum it can't be THAT bad so what the heck, give it a try! If it works out, you may have to name it though!

I like root beer & I like spiced rum, just not sure about the combo?

I'm doing great Theresa -thanks for asking. I really liked the flax in the rolls, it didn't have that eggy taste. The real tester will be when I try them with my hamburgers tonight. Hopefully the kids haven't ate them yet. I haven't tried the protein powder yet, but all I have at the house is chocolate and vanilla. I think they may taste too sweet for burgers, eh?

Tommie, I'm drooling. this is not good for my keyboard. You have to put the warnings at the beginning of your food porn, woman!

Rena-Thanx for the suggestion, and I also love that, but I can't do Pepsi one in the evening cuz of the caffeine (that is my fav cola, though) And white wine gives me sinus headaches. (although I lurve me some good champagne, headaches & all.) So, that's why I'm stuck trying to come up with a combo that will work...my non-caffeinated soda choices right now are root beer & cream soda. I have pineapple rum, cherry rum, spiced rum, green apple vodka, citrus vodka, raspberry vodka, Jack Daniels, plain rum & plain vodka (sounds like I have most of a party here, doesn't it?)

Brandi-the plain rum (like regular Baccardi) has no carbs...all of the plain alcohols like rum, vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon are zero carbs so if you mix any of the plain with sugar-free mixers, you got a zero carb drink. The only warning is that some people stall when they drink. Most of the flavored rums & flavored vodkas have none or just a trace EXCEPT coconut rum...which of course is my absolute all-time favorite rum...naturally it has lots (I've seen charts showing it as anywhere from 6 carbs up to 11 carbs an ounce, so who knows. I guess the manufacturers are cagey about 'fessin' up on nutritional info for booze.)

Cathy, pick you up some of the caffeine free pepsi or coke, or Diet Rite. Those are the only cold drinks in my house these days. Okay ladies... Barbara Walters is on Oprah so I'm off to watch! Catch up with ya'll later.

YES!! Exactly!!! Well I had seen it with the coconut, but to be honest, thats always been my least favorite pie...Well I don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I have been living on coconut pies!! Anyways, I made it for Easter using the coconut instead of Chocolate and my Family went NUTS!! It was the first dessert gone and people kept asking me to make another one!! Sooooo, now its my favorite!! And its simple and easy!!! But if you toast the coconut, its crispy and doesn't stick in your teeth as bad! And yes...I feel like I'm the only one eating that dang thing!!! UNKLE TOM came yesterday.....Maybe that's my problem???

DIET.....YES ONE OF THESE DAYS SOON, I'M GONNA START BACK ON INDUCTION!!! I GOTTA!!!

Cathy - the root beer may be good with the cherry rum. Maybe gives it that Dr. Pepper taste? All I can say is try a couple tester drinks, if anything you'll get a buzz.

Tommie - recipe please! pretty please!
