Good morning everyone,

I don't normally workout on the weekends so my last workout was Abs Diet 2 on Friday. I'll be doing Abs Diet 2 again today- the Big Muscle Circuit and Abs segment. Have a great day everyone.

I really enjoyed the new workout with Jari Love! It is an hour long but only felt like 30 minutes. I am going to rotate her dvds and cardio for a while and see how that works out!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Oh Marcia, you tried a Jari. I have heard those are good and tough! Today at 5:15 a.m. mind you, was Biggest Loser - Low Intensity Cardio Workout. It was short, but packed quite a punch. Hubby and I are taking a long weekend at the end of the month and so I want to do all that I can to look and feel better. So far, down 9 lbs. Will Keep Pushing Play and Pushing Bad Food Away!

See you guys later!

Slim It was awesome! It's good if you like the workouts that aren't alot of dancing and jumping around....Just pure weight training as if you were at the gym! Between her and Joyce Vedral, i'm hooked! I believe I liked Jari's more because Joyce's are super fast and i'm sure i'm not paying attention to form. Jari makes sure you are paying attention to form! Well tonight will be a cardio dvd.....Haven't decided which one! Will post later the one i completed!

Yeah Marcia, Joyce's form can be bad sometimes and she doesn't give much in the way of pointers. You have to be a bit of a seasoned exerciser so that you won't cause yourself any injuries. Plus, she goes waaaaay to fast. Not long ago, I took a workout out because she was going ridiculously fast. I like to lift heavy as I can and when she is speeding like that, she makes it impossible. I typically prefer the ones with Martha in them because she is counting and makes sure she isn't flying. JV always says the weights she does in real life. I kinda wish she would use that weight in the videos so she will slow down.

I would have tried Jari, but I am not a big fan of low weight, high rep. Like I said, I like to lift heavy. But it always good to have variety, so I may pick it up one day. Also, I am a pear shape and alot of people on my fitness forum said that her workouts don't work that great for pear shapes. I dunno.

Tracey, a Cathe fan!!! Allright!!! I love Cathe. I have most all of her workouts but the Gym Styles. I don't know why I haven't gotten around to them yet. Cathe works you tough. I think my favorite cardio is Rhythmic Step, but you gotta love IMAX 2!

Well, just wanted to drop in and say Hello to everyone. You guys take care. I am taking tomorrow off, but will be back at it on Thursday.

Ok, i don't know why i typed up a long reply and it was not posted last night.

I wrote that i was jealous because Tracey and Thycke had new avatars and they both look MARVELOUS!

I mentioned that last night I completed Leslie Sansone's 2 mile WATP for Abs and Kathy Smith's Tummy Trimmers (stand up abs) It was a great workout!

I am going to choose between the same Jari weight lifting tape tonight or whether i will be rotating all of them.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Back to work!

Slim I didn't forget you! I had typed ~ what forum are you on that they discuss Jari Love? I'd like to join that one also! Don't type the whole address just the name and I'll add the dot com. They don't like you to put other websites on this forum.

I also said I am big on the top and small on the bottom so what fruit shape is that? I hope they lean me out and don't bulk me up! I'll be doing Jari's weight training 3 days a week and cardio/abs like 2-3 days a week and either 1 or 2 days off.

Do you all think that is a good routine?

I also asked what is up with CATHE dvds? Are they made of gold? I mean i like the gym style workouts and i was looking for one from her since I heard she's good and $27.00? Come on now! What gives? Somebody help me out here

Yes, I do love Cathe. I'm still a beginner when it comes to her cardio though. So I mainly stick to Low Impact Step or Low Impact Circuit, I have Rhythmic Step and I've watched it but I have yet to try it. I'm scared to I have a lot of her weight workouts though.

I didn't get a chance to work out yesterday. I was hoping to get a quick manicure and pedicure after work yesterday and it ended up taking longer than I expected. I did Abs Diet 2 again today. I've been trying a little experiment just using Abs Diet 2 for my weight workout to see if I get any results. I may mix it up a little tomorrow and do something different. I'll let you guys know. Good Night.

Tracy, you must try Rhythmic Step one day! Once you get the routine down, it is definitely Party in a Box! IMAX2 has the best music I have heard in any workout video period and just fun! Darn near kills you, but fun!

Marcia, Videofitness or Firm Ya Ya's. If you have a problem finding, you go to my blog (my siggy) and look for the section on the side that says "My favorite Places". Click on Video Fitness and it will take you right to it. Ya Ya's is a little harder to get to. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you the link. It is on Yuku, but harder to get to.

Today was Biggest Loser workout - Strength and Sculpt Segment. Boy, Bob really does push you, but it was a good short workout.

Well, I gotta get going. See you guys later.

Slim

I absolutely agree with you and I have never paid full price for a Cathe DVD. I buy them used from Yaya's mostly. You can also find some of her DVDs for sale by marketplace vendors on the world's largest online bookseller's website. I think the most I've paid for a Cathe DVD was $24 for Power Hour+ and that's 3 one hour+ workouts on 1 DVD so I think it was worth the money. I've also lucked out and found 1 at the Goodwill. People sell them on Ebay too but you have to be careful with Ebay. Most of the Cathe DVD's on Ebay are bootleg.

Also, Cathe has posted explanations on her website about why her DVD's are so much more. Basically, she controls production and distribution of her own DVD's which is why you don't see her DVD's in retail stores. Her workouts have a lot of features that most mass marketed DVD's don't. Her DVDs almost always have premixes-different variations of the same workout- so its like getting several different workouts on 1 DVD and her Body Blast series even allows you to create your own workout from the DVD chapters. I do think Cathe's DVD offer more features and are a cut above most of what is available out there but I am just too cheap to pay those prices.
