Checking in. I have a few clean days in under my belt and feel good. My goal for May is to have few (if any) cheats. I know if I stick to plan, the pounds will come of. I am now looking forward to getting below tree fitty (350).

Afternoon everyone,
Flushed out part of the weekend down a couple. Hope to get rid of the rest today. I'm going to do some body weight w/some dumbell execises thrown in for some variety. Then I'll finish it up with spin on the stationary. Ken careful you don't fall in the honey hole. Ooba it won't take long just stay focused. Be a lean, mean losing machine you will do this. Adam your close to the 2's could be your week. Keep it moving down. Slat your a pedaling machine. Get out there and sweat people or at least move. Have a great day. Ed out

Hey Guys...Harley Checking in.
I made it back from the Cayman (or should I say Cay-Mon) Islands. I had to work quite a bit while down there, but was able to enjoy evenings with my family, so that was nice. Saturday we were able to spend most of the day at the beach. It's a beautiful place, but fairly expensive. US dollars are worth about 80% of the CI dollars, so everything is quite a bit more expensive. Example: A case of beer was $45 CI...so about $54 US. The snorkeling is some of the best I have ever seen. My wife and I decided to eat off plan for a few of the days while we were there because we figured we may never be back there together again (I will probably have to go back by myself in the near future), so we ate some of the local cuisine. Didn't do too much damage as far as the weight goes, so I am happy. Welcome to the FNG's! I will wait to post my stats for next Monday's weigh in....by the way....I made the 10 goal, so no speedo pictures for me. I do have a couple of me on the beach, but I will spare you guys those as well. Harley Out! |

I'm still doing good. I'm happily wearing my "thinnest" suit today. I haven't worn it in about a year. It's quite tight, but it's on. Give me another 5 pounds, and it will merely be snug! I'll probably wait another few weeks before trying to squeeze into it again. It's a little uncomfortable.
Honey hole. That's rich! My all time favorite Dirty Jobs episode was the "Honey Wagon" episode. Disgusting stuff. Welcome back Harley. It sounds like you held the line pretty well on vacation. Always a big accomplishment. Lots of new recruits recently - Welcome! Way to get back on track, Ed. We all slip up, what really matters is how quickly we get back up. Keep it up Ooba. It's a long journey to get healthy and there will be bumps along the way. |

Also, I updated my avatar with my speedo pic.
So i'm underwater and it's a pair of speedo board shorts. I lost almost 7 pounds (1/3 of the way to goal). So I'm happy withmy month. You people are sick if you wanted to see me in a real speedo! |

Hey guys,
So as appetizing as the last few posts have been I have a recipe to share. Its really simple but it turned out great. I took a can of chicken broth and put it in a sauce pan. It was 99% fat free so I added some butter and olive oil. I shook in some Crazy salt and some garlic powder. I then put in some Broccoli, cauliflower, carrot mixed vegetables. As it was cooling I realized I had to run out the door so I poured it into a zip-lock bag and threw it in the freezer. When I got back a couple hours later I just threw it into a sauce pan again and heated it up. It was quick and fast and low carb and delicious. A little high on sodium for some people, but really not that bad. Also, I had a really good Tae Soo Do class tonight. It really kicked my kiester. Cheers,

Wednesday
checkin in, in a blah mood today, raining outside too so that doesnt help
straying a little bit from low carb, trying not to make it a big deal, my work is dicking around with those jobs they posted, apparently they made a mistake with one of them, so that one may be down the tube, so im left with the other one which i should be well in the running for went to the slots this morning , kept up my losing streak, gave $40 to charity, which i geuss isnt so bad, the lady beside me was feeding $50 bills in every few minutes, i ususally stop at losing $20, should probably remember that for next time!! what a crappy day here, i hope the sun makes an appearance soon |

Yeah its a rainy, crappy day here in Wisconsin too. But thats okay. It just means I can push my workout a little harder before I keel over from heat stroke. Cheers, |

Harley Checking in.
The weather is finally pretty nice here, so I was able to ride my motorcycle into work. It was actually hard to stop...I wanted to keep riding all day. Eats are going well...excercise is as well. I have a lot of projects lined up for the next few weekends around the yard, so I will be able even on weekends to get in the needed excercise. Harley Out! |

Late check in
I didn't get any formal exercise in but I did get a couple of captains beds for the kids. My oldest and me picked them up at a womens house DW works with for $50. Man them things were heavy and awkward. We had to get them out of the womans house from the bedroom they were in down a narrow staircase and into my truck. Then at my house we had to wrestle them up my stairs and into their rooms. What a PITA. If I ever need to take them out I will take a slegdehammer to them and take them out piece by piece. After dinner I figured I'd go for a run but ended up falling asleep on the couch. Whoops, I guess moving them things took a lot out of me. Harley I know tat feeling on having to stop. I've cruised by work more than once while riding in to work. |

Hey guys,
I had a small victory tonight. I went over to my buddy's house to play board games. The guy is great and shares freely of his food, but its mostly carb laden junk. His wife cooked a big casserole chock full of pasta. All the soda you could ask for. Plenty of ice cream and Popsicles. His wife baked brownies. But I just said no thank you. I had brought my own thin sliced hard salami with some spicy brown mustard. I drank water all night. And you know what the crazy thing is? I didn't feel deprived. I knew all that junk was just a bad headache and 5 extra pounds to carry around. I actually just felt sorry for my friends. I knew what that junk was doing to them. Its not a pretty site. And the way they descended of the junk was alarming. They were way too hungry for all the crap they were shoveling down. Perspective is a weird thing. Cheers, |

Good job Adam. Resisting carbage is often very hard to do, especially when everyone around you is stuffing their faces.
I'm still doing pretty well. It's been pretty easy as I haven't been in any situations where I usually do poorly. My exercise hasn't been enough lately as I've been working the long hours again. |
