I want something salty and crunchy.
I have nothing....all my freaking popcorn is gone. Why does he have to eat his kettle corn and then eat up my popcorn??? Grrrr.... I don't buy chips or anything because I know they're triggers for me so I buy my freaking popcorn and I have no more freaking popcorn!!! Okay vent over..... ![]() |

Hello to everyone!
Hope everyone is doing great. Just got home from a bike ride. Only went 8 miles no hills tonight. I had walked this am for 30 mins. Legs were a little tired tonight. Killed a snake. Made the daughter cry because I killed a baby snake!! Yesterday I rode my bike 25 miles including hills and walked for 35 min briskly. I am doing fantastic with the exercise but the eating can be my downfall. I just am terrible with my vegetates but do great with the cookies. ![]() I ate 3 homemade choc chip cookies at work today. Why ?? Because I looked at them,obsessed over them and caved. Could I eat one. NO!!!!Babbs Last edited by beachbound : 05-05-2008 at 06:39 PM. |

This is a quinoa recipe for a breakfast food or a treat. I subscribe to this recipe website called 101 cookbooks. She ,makes the most amazing natural foods! It is so worth checking out for all you peeps that enjoy cooking. This should be CORE, but the recipes doesn't have points or calories or anything like that. They are just whole foods, good and natural stuff. I wish I cooked more, I would love this stuff!
Here is the site Warm and Nutty Cinnamon Quinoa Recipe - 101 Cookbooks Warm and Nutty Cinnamon Quinoa Recipe I used a red quinoa here, but you can use whatever kind you like, white/buff colored seems to be the most common. Also, a few notes and tips from the book: low-fat soy milk may replace the low fat milk, blueberries may replace the blackberries, dark honey may replace the agave nectar, and walnuts may replace the pecans. 1 cup organic 1% low fat milk 1 cup water 1 cup organic quinoa, (hs note: rinse quinoa) 2 cups fresh blackberries, organic preferred 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted* 4 teaspoons organic agave nectar, such as Madhava brand Combine milk, water and quinoa in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Turn off heat; let stand covered 5 minutes. Stir in blackberries and cinnamon; transfer to four bowls and top with pecans. Drizzle 1 teaspoon agave nectar over each serving. Serves 4. *While the quinoa cooks, roast the pecans in a 350F degree toaster oven for 5 to 6 minutes or in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Since I got sick I can't do that anymore. I want the day to come where I will be able to have just one cookie but that day is not now, so I am working on it. Maybe you can try to keep the junk out of the house and steer clear from it at work for a few weeks till you get your bearings. When you gals are buying ground turkey, make sure you check the fat content. There's "Ground Turkey" and "Ground Turkey Breast".....big difference in the fat conte |
