Haha - yeah, get CostCo out of the way if you INSIST on going...haha, then I'd walk and then relax

I'm a veggie-tarian, but chicken barley soup sounds like a solid, filling lunch - did you make it yourself?

I made a box of Goya Red beans and yellow rice, then I added a can of black beans, and a can of those diced tomatoes with the green chilies, and a bunch of cilantro and spices. So I'm having about a cup and a half of that over baby spinach leaves, topped with a dollop (okay, a big plop ) of guacamole that I made last night. It came out very tasty but too salty oh well - next time!

Yes, it was vegetarian until I added the chicken. I boiled broth, chick peas, carrots, corn, soy beans, seasonings, then chicken

WOE: WW Flex WI-Sunday
Start Date: March 2008
I had my WI yesterday, and I was up .6 lbs. It has to be water, but still.

So I am feeling grumpy today.

I am trying to shake it off. I am going to be more careful with my sodium intake this week ... I think I over did it last week. I discovered smoked turkey sausage. And then, there was the turkey salami on Saturday.

No more! I took the rest of the turkey sausage to my Dad's house last night, and we whipped up a pasta, veggie, chicken, and sausage concoction for dinner. It was a success, even though DH and my brother (not on WW, either of them) complained the whole night. (They cleaned their plates just fine, though, so ) Now that the sausage is gone, and I made DH eat the salami today, it's clean cooking again.

Doesn't this sound divine?

Spicy Polenta Tamale Pie

24 oz. Pre Packaged Cooked Polenta (comes in a plastic roll)
1 (15 oz.) Can Black Beans, rinsed and drained
1 (10 oz.) Can Enchilada Sauce (mild, medium, or hot)
1 (11 oz.) Can Whole Kernel Corn, drained
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley
1 Cup Fat Free Cheddar Cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8X8 dish with nonstick cooking
spray. Cut polenta into small cubes. Mix all ingredients together in a
medium sized bowl and pour into prepared dish. Bake uncovered for
30-35 minutes.

Serves: 6 (1 Cup Each)
Per Serving: 263 Calories; 7g Fat (23.8% calories from fat); 12g
Protein; 37g Carbohydrate; 7g Dietary Fiber; 18mg Cholesterol; 891mg
Sodium. Exchanges: 1 Grain (Starch); 1/2 Lean Meat; 1/2 Vegetable; 1

I need to pick up some polenta, but I think I will be trying that this week ... mmmm

Fat. WWP: 5

OK....you win !!

The planting at the school wore me out. We were there for 3 hours. I took my 2.2mi walk.....no where near to my 39 minutes yesterday.

No clue how much activity I actually did with the students, so I gave myself 1AP. I'm up to 19 for my week.

I'm gonna make a sandwich, zap some ZERO point soup and sit outside.

Thanks, Slim & Dedicated, for helping me plan my day

Afternoon everyone!!!!!

So I weighed in and after all that worry about the binge last week and TOM, I lost half a pound! Why oh why do I stress myself out like that? LOL

I am NOT a number on a scale!!!!! I need to remember that.

I have a question for all you Flexers. How many points would you count a 4 cup mixed green salad as? How many points do you count the Wishbone spray (1 serv. @ 10 sprays/10 cals/.5 fat). How many points would you count 2 servings as?

I will tell you what I assumed after I hear what you have to say.

Thanks for your response Reg. So, do you eat for hunger and then just stop when you aren't hungry? Or do you make a concerted effort to stay under? and how many do you stay under if it is a conscious choice?

and those apple chips look delish btw. I am gonna try to find them or something close when I go shopping.

and what is a 1 bag Chocolatey drizzle????

Oh,m and I love the quote and pic this morning! Thank you for getting us started!!!

I think the food on CORE looks great and it's something I may be intrested in. Since I stopped smoking though I have no idea when I am full LOL! and....it's been 2 1/2 years already!!!!

I think if I can stay OP for a few months (Maybe even weeks) I will make the switch. I love those low GI foods.

WTG MIKE!!!!!!!!

I know the weight loss is a little different, but this is a plan you can stick to. How was your weekend???

The only thing was I did not get in my treadmill and I usually do on Sunday.

I got on my scale at home this morning and I am showing a loss. I am hoping that is what it shows tomorrow at wi but I was glad to see a loss today.
Congrats slimdays!!!!! That rocks! Look at you eating only a half a piece of cake! That is control! I'm so happy you had a nice time.

Hi Aijarama! I don't think we have met before.
I love what you said about not having to start over and how much WW makes sense.

I'm sorry about the gain but you are probably right about the water.

That recipe does look delish. Man I love polenta. I wonder where in the supermarket it would be. My ex used to make it from scratch, I am not that handy.
