~*~ GONNA LOOK GOOD NEKKED - MAY 2008!!!~*~

Better late than never!!! Can't believe I forgot to start our new thread!!

I went back and looked it up (of course, if I was smart I would have just looked at my own siggy!) - but this month makes three years of this WOE!! Can't believe that it's been this long! It took my 7 months to lose the weight - and another 29 months not to be able to lose another pound - but to gain 12!! Not that bad - but I still think that I should be able to get under 140!!

I decided that I should probably exercise more (although I didn't have to exercise back then!! Where are those days?) The every other day didn't seem like enough - especially when it didn't really even happen every other day!

One DSS back from school - the other will be back this weekend. We raked the yard and did spring cleaning stuff all weekend - or should I say, I pretty much did the raking and the hauling of the taprs - DH did the burning at the fire pit! We didn't even wait for the boys to get home from school - they will be so happy to have missed one of the yard raking days!

I wish i was only 12lbs up from lowest weight! I weighed today, i had to know so that i could see the scale going down and feel motivated. First day on plan, not too bad, no off plan food. I did have sweet cravings so i ate more protein so the scale might not move tomorrow but at least i will be closer to getting my eating under control.

I was going to do a protein day but sister and her friend informed me they were coming for dinner so i made some salad and had more later. At least salad is better than cake and cookies!

I'm up about 40 from my lowest. That sounds awful but is the truth.

Soooo, today was good. Give me strength for the days to come. Not much else going on around here. I bought some plants today but didn't plant them. Bought some more grass seed to fill in some holes. One of these days I'll get my yard back to looking good.

Sarah, maybe we should make some new avis, instead of the 40lb club it could be the UP 40lb club, somehow it doesn't have the same ring about it! I'm with you, yesterday i was about 46 up. 3lb off today so its reducing already.

I ate a LOT yesterday so i wasn't expecting much of a loss if any so that 3lb was very welcome. I have another 6 to come off to be my pre-Israel weight, i'm hoping i will manage that within a week, i know 9lbs a week is huge but most of it is water.

I got sick of looking in my packed cupboards and not finding anything that fit or i like so i got everything out, put all my winter stuff in DD's now empty cupboards and put all too small stuff in storage. Its so good to open the cupboards and see what i have and know it all fits. I must admit its looking a bit bare at the moment but hopefully i'll be able to add some things back in a month when my waistline reduces. I found stuff i forgot i had.

I took my bedroom carpets up for the summer and will do the downstairs next week. When my dogs start laying on the ceramic tiles rather than the carpet then i know its time to store them away.

Sarah, way to go on the exercise, i need some of your motivation to move.

Still on plan and down 1lb today, i'm eating too much because of the sweet cravings and not in induction yet. I did a bit better today but i don't have the usual carb withdrawal headache yet so i have that to come and TOM is due as well so that will double the headache.

Anyone eat anything good lately that you want to share? (the recipe that is not the food ) I went shopping today and will be making oopsies tomorrow, they make life a lot easier. If i want a quick snack i just make a sandwich type one with no guilt, it helps with the sweet cravings too, just add some cinnamon, sweetener and cream or yogurt.

I just haven't been hungry lately, so have been eating very little - so nothing good at all! One is back, but both boys will both be back from college this weekend - so have to start cooking more. Every time they come back I can't remember what I used to cook for them!! I've been cutting out a large amount of recipes - last weekend I folded down pages in my Dana Carpenter recipe book - but just haven't gotten around buying the ingredient yet! My favorite food this winter has been pork loin chops (or some similar pork piece) with the Spicy Montreal seasoning on it - then grilled. I could eat those every day! I've TM every day so far this week - still not with much intensity for some reason - but at least 2 miles every day! It can't hurt!

Hey Juli - I remember you used to make that pepperocini beef stuff. Also remember you baking some pies that you never ate but were tempted by! LOL

Still on plan. No exercise this am b/c I've been running around doing errands and stuff.

I'm down 2lbs today! Its great to see it coming off without a struggle, i'm enjoying it while it lasts. Thats 6lbs this week so i might make my target of 9lbs but i'll take whatever i get.

I've been craving lemon meringue pie for ages, i haven't had it since i was at school, thats going back a few years. I found a recipe for the lemon curd so i might make it one of these days, its mostly eggs and i can use more lemon extract instead of all the lemon juice. I still get cravings for something sweet and what with TOM near by it gets worse.

Have you tried those egg creams yet? I could taste the egg so today i made one for a snack (1 egg instead of the usual 3) and added some fresh peppermint, some chocolate essence and a teaspoon of cocoa. It was like chocolate choc ice cream (i used loads of ice)! It kept me full till dinner.

What do you guys eat when you want something sweet?

Sarah - that's funny you mentioned that italian beef stuff - DSD19 who isn't home yet already requested that for his birthday dinner!

When I need something sweet - I drink coffee with SF syrup and add half/half!! Seriously, I drink coffee almost every day with the syrup but have been cutting way down. But if I really want a treat, a little half/half or a squirt of the SF Land O Lakes canned whipped cream. Funny story, our dog loves whipped cream out of the can. I was showing DH a few weeks ago about how when I start to squirt the stuff into my mug of coffee, the dog comes running from out of nowhere! So now I have to give her a squirt too! I'm sure it's as good for her as it is for me!!

Ice Cream! I don't even buy it because I would want just a little "taste" of it!

I was kidding. Meaning that's why i'm not losing. So I buckled last night and ate a PB&J on whole wheat. Not good, but I jumped back on this am and have been good today. I got 45 mins.on the TM. I am hoping to report a loss on Monday. I am down but nothing huge. I was only up .4 from the sandwich, or uh 2 sandwiches! I decided to look at it like carb cycling.

I've had no loss for 2 days but TOM arrived yesterday so that could be part of it. I like to think that if the scale stops moving my measurements are going down instead. Maybe just wishful thinking. I did have LC mousaka and LC lemon meringue pie yesterday so the calories could be too much for me, its not something i'm going to be doing everyday.

No cheats yesterday!!!

Starting off today great. I rode my spin bike for a 10 min. warm up then I did UBWO and finished off with 15 mins. on the TM. I'm trying to toss things up so I don't get burned out/bored.

I don't know what to think of the scale. My digital is wacking out. The first two times it came up with a number that I liked it. The third time it jumped a lb and a half. Stupid scale. I'll contine to monitor it's accuracy.

Still the same today but i have one more day till weigh in and i've been good all day so i might be lucky. I still haven't got the motivation to exercise, maybe when i've lost a few more pounds.

I haven't taken my measurements for months now, i know i wont like what i see but it means i don't get to see the numbers go down when the scale stalls.

I had 2 spoons of SF ice-cream today, SIL insisted it was SF but i wasn't so sure, i hope it doesn't mess me up for weigh in tomorrow.

I'm down another pound today so thats 7lbs for the week! Can't complain about a pound a day, if only i could do that for a month.

DH was talking about us going on a cruise around the Greek islands at the end of August. That gives me about 13 weeks to get into swimsuit condition. If i aim for 2lbs a week that will make me 26lbs lighter by then, i should feel a whole lot better with all that fat off. Sounds so do-able but we all know it isn't that simple. At least i have something to look forward to and something to keep me on plan and thinking twice before bingeing.

Considering i had lemon pie, moussaka, chocolate and ice-cream to name a few this week i did quite well. I will have to be more careful this week to get a good loss before my body starts to fight me again.

I am craving chocolate mousse today, i'm out of eggs so i can't have any but i might make some this week for a treat.

Sounds like you gals are on a roll!

I am starting strict LC today. Was reviewing my menu lately and know that I've been a little lax on the carb intake - on plan, but too many! For instance, last night I made Morel Misque - totally full of veggies, cream and then wild rice. In previous years I would go to the extreme and strain out most of the veggies and all of the rice - last night I picked around the rice - like that is totally possible - so I know that I had way too many carbs - then had asparagus and steak. I don't eat like that every night - we had DH's ex-wife and some of her family over for a welcome home for the summer dinner for the boys. Way too much work!

Still the same today, i need to lower my fat and carbs if i want to do good this week. I've been eating too much cream, cream cheese, cheese and veggies. Not that it hurt for the first week but most of that was water and now the water has gone i need to cut down to get at the fat.

#%^*()*& Scale. I was down .5 but it should be more. I took two days off exercise after 6 in a row. It was a struggle but I did it this am. I have been tired! I just need to keep on keeping on and something will give. I will be more motivated if I can get out of the 180's. I'm in the middle so have 6 to go to get into the 170's.

Sarah, if you are doing everything right it will come off, if not on the scale then in sizes, just be patient.

I am the same again but i'm constipated so i'll have to get some magnesium tablets and take them regularly if i want to be regular. I feel all bloated and uncomfortable but if i see a loss on the scale tomorrow i will feel better.

I went for a half hour walk on the sea front today, it was good to smell the sea air but i need to wear trainers in future, my feet are full of blisters.

Scale was down this am - Wooooo Hoooooo. But I am dehydrated for sure so, we shall see what the morrow brings.

Just another day in the life.

Good luck this weekend Toni. I could never lose anything if I went out like y'all do.

Not only do i not have a loss but i'm up 1lb! Thats not fair, i've eaten exactly like last week so how come i lose 7lbs one week and gain 1lb the next with no change in eating? I'm still waiting for that whoosh.

I did a protein day today to help things along and we went to the sea for a 4 kilometer walk, if i'm not done tomorrow i'll be a wee bit upset!

Have a good weekend all.

I'm down the one i was up but that is it. Looks like its going to be a whole week with no loss. I''m not going to freak out about it, maybe i'll lose 7lbs every other week!

I ate off plan lunch time but i did my walk by the sea again tonight and seeing as i ate lunch late i'm not hungry so i'll skip dinner even though i packed up half of my steak and salad from lunch. See, i did have good intentions of eating right but DH and DD ordered a lot of carby starters and i couldn't resist, my willpower is not at its best when i'm hungry!

I've got a 50th wedding anniversary party tomorrow, i hope they have some LC food i can eat.

me again. I am up 3lbs today after an off plan meal yesterday. I hope its back off by tomorrow, doesn't look like i'm going to have a loss this week.

I did well at the party, ignored all the pastries, pies and desserts, only had an egg, salad, ham, mini sausage and a small piece of cheese.

I'm still having bowels problems, that could be holding up my loss, i wish i could find a fiber that works for me. Psillium just blocks me up, i eat flax meal quite often but that doesn't do anything. I've had magnesium all week and for a few days i've had a cube with senna, fig and prune. All that and still having trouble, i feel like i need a good clean out. Excuse the TMI

If the scale doesn't start to move soon i'll go back to L4L.

Looks like i'm talking to myself again.

I only lost one of the 3 gained so that makes a grand total of -------2lbs gained for the week! I don't accept that, i've been on plan all week apart from one meal off, how can that lead to a 2lb gain? Not to give TMI but my bowels have been working just fine today so maybe i'll see my whoosh tomorrow.
