Last Week!

So - what's up for you today??

Typical Monday, a rush to get everyone out the door with everything they need.

Have an appt. to get 4 new tires today, and was ready to make cookies for the tire guys last night and had everything laid out, butter softened and NO EGGS!
I'm NEVER out of eggs!
DH used them all and didn't realize the other carton in there were hard boiled.
Will have to give excuses and stop at the store today and make them tonight.

Almost dressed and must put face paint on.
Have a super Cinco De Monday all, cya this afternoon. K

First full week of May upon us - and it's supposed to be 65 and sunny!
Have capri's and sandals on today!

Yep Debbie - we have the same shoes!!!!

Busy day; was in early to problems already with students trying to shadow in classrooms where there weren't classes going on!

Morning! It was a nice quiet non sports weekend! The boys had friends over, we went to the zoo, had to go get new shoes for DS10 since he totally destroyed his at recess on Friday.

my computer is down at home. internet issues. at work and not much time but wanted to say happy Monday.

Cindy, your daughter's are beautiful. But then again so are you. I love Asics shoes but not as happy with my latest shoes. They changed the model some and I can tell after wearing the previous years model for such a long time. No biggie. I will probably get them again.

Kaye, cookies for the tire guy???

My oatmeal raisin cookies were all eaten at the race.

Better go work. hate not having internet at home. husband will call Verizon and hopefully it will be working when I get home.

Debbie - I have nothing to compare to other than the Nike's I have been wearing, and love the Asics so far - also good to know a seasoned runner, like yourself, likes them! I did good in my search then!

Thanks for the comps on DDs - they are really nice girls too and that's what's MOST important to me!!!

So - saw Matt Damon shooting the movie yesterday.
The mall is decorated for Christmas and they had "snow" on one of the main streets.

Got 4 new (expensive) Uniroyal "Tiger Paws" on my car now. New tires make the car feel much more 'solid' going down the road. The old tires were beyond junk, so it's safer now too.

home from work and miracle of miracles the internet is working with no interventions. not sure what happened. I am exhausted and will get to bed early. Need to be at my son's school at 8am and with traffic it will take a while.

OMG, Cindy, Melissa looks just like you. You need to post a picture of yourself at that age. All Kim has of me is her Irish nose, she is her father's family out and out. She looks just like John's sister, which is fine with me cuz I think Debbie is pretty and I love her to death.

I just finished talking to a friend that lived behind us in Xenia. Kim's house is just 2 streets over from where we lived, so I called Sandy and told her. Come to find out, she's divorced (good decision, didn't like the way that her ex treated her) and she still lives close to where Kim is buying. She's getting married August 15. Her daughter that Kim played with is expecting in December, so she's excited that she's going to be a grandma. I'm suppose to call her when things calm down from Kim's move and we're getting together. And get this, she's into power walking and she invited me to walk with her. We use to walk all the time with the kids on their bikes but we certainly didn't power walk then. I told her that I have 54 pounds to lose and she said that would be perfect for me, so I guess when I have Alyssa on Monday and Wednesday nights we're going to take her in the stroller, we won't be able to power walk with Alyssa but she said we can up the pace even with her in the stroller. She's been on my mind for A LONG time. Her father had passed away about a year before mine and we left it when we talked last that when things "calmed down" we would get together. Ashley (the one that played with Kim, poor Stacie was always in the way cuz she was 2 years younger. haha) is into decorating too (like Kim is) so we're going to go to lunch and see what the girls think. If they don't hit it off like they did in the past, then so be it, but Kim doesn't have many friends since her best friend passed away 2 years ago and she certainly doesn't have any left in Xenia, so that would be nice if they could go shopping once in a while together. Either way, Sandy and I are going to get together.

Miss Alyss and I took a wagon ride today, so I got a little exercise in. It took 25 minutes to go around our block 2 times, it's a bit hilly, not too much but a little and I broke a sweat on my forehead.

Hi to Debbie, MK, Cindy, Kaye, Kelly and Ange, did I forget anyone, I always seem to miss one person. Nite, going to bed, Alyssa the kid wore me out tonight.

Red Lobster tomorrow night, yum. John didn't go to Arizona, he stayed back cuz 2 of their big customers was coming in. Don't know if he'll be joining us, working late or maybe even taking the customers out himself, but Kim, Alyssa and I are on for tomorrow night. Going to get the broiled seafood platter and either 2 salads or a salad and broccoli. I'm sure Alyssa will dive into my broccoli so maybe I should get that.

Was heading out on a hike again today, but walking partner (DD20) hasn't shown up yet. She insists on going and then I roust her outta bed! We are trying to build up our stamina for the marathon!

Busy day ahead, supposed to be 71 and possible rain, but I will take it!

I am off to school for IEP meeting at 8am. Then to gym, bank, to buy mothers days cards for the grandmas. I also have son's birthday Friday and need to get gift for that. Have so much to do today and what else is new.

allergies horrible. Claritin not cutting it!

70s here today once we get past the cool morning.

Off to school. Could be 35 minute ride and could be over an hour. Better early then late I guess.

I have to take my mom to get her clothes altered, get to the grocery store - make a pie for a dinner for a friend who just had surgery for breast cancer, and DS19 is coming home today - so I have to clean up in his room - DH has been taking naps in there . . .

Morning girls,

Yep, end of the year stuff starting to pile up. I was at the MS yesterday and one of the teachers on her way through said, "only 28 more school days left and then you and I officially have HS students" So, I guess that means there are only 27 school days left as of today!

Tomorrow is our last official MS parent club meeting. We have a June meeting, but its fun, no business, a potluck brunch at the VP's house. So, tomorrow, in addition to the meeting, I have the end of season water polo party in the afternoon at my house, and a reception for our school's foundation in the evening. But, nothing the rest of the week.

Cindy, WTG training for a marathon! We're all proud of you!

Becky, that's great that you were able to reconnect with an old friend near Kim's new house!
