Yeah you eat til you're satisfied...I haven't figured that out yet...but I eat til I'm full and it holds me for hours. We all sit in the same meetings...less people do core...it sounds scary/limited until you actually do it..then there's soo many options Ohhh yeah, they have a section for core recipes and flex...but they mostly come from the ww site but in one place |

You would have to change all the ingredients to core ingredients (if possible) or use some of your wpa's if it's worth it to you!

Morning Everyone,
I weighed in this morning after my first seven days on WW flex. I lost 3 Lbs. ![]() It's a lot less than what I would typically lose after week one induction of Atkins. I normally lost about 7lbs after one week of Atkins. |

![]() But you ate foods you liked! Had a lot of varitey that you wouldn't of had on atkins....It's not fast...but it's tasty On atkins I would lose a lb a day...then I would let loose on the weekends and gain 4 lbs so I'm liking the variety in ww...getting skinnier will be tasty too Last edited by Dedicated : 05-05-2008 at 06:07 AM. |

Just checking in! Went over my points because I went to Chili's and had a burger and fries AND split dessert...learned my lesson about how a splurge like that can really sap all your WPAs! Been working out and every other day has been within range, though!
To Dedicated and Mikejets - I feel the same way about Atkins vs WW - I lost 30 and gained 50 on Atkins, and I love WW because it just MAKES SENSE! Calories in, calories out, add the activity, you get to have more calories. AND even though I had that slip-up on Friday, it's not going to set me back as far as trying to get back into Ketosis, or having to "start over" again, yada yada. I ate too much on Friday. So what. Next time I'll take it easy on the ranch and leave a couple more fries on the plate. Moving on!

Good morning everyone!
Yeah it is hard to keep the lifestyle mentality when you have experienced rapid weight loss on Atkins before. The thing is that as soon as I went off the Atkins I gained all that weight back and more. And that was the rap on the Atkins diet to begin with. I had ppl tell me that but I wanted rapid results. I still would love rapid results but I like food. I like choices. I like the freedom that WW's affords me. So I need to remind myself that this is a lifestyle. This is how I am going to live the rest of my life. I took a good sized salad to the birthday party yesterday and had that. I also had a piece of birthday cake and it was so good. But I feel I did well on the whole. Hubby made some baked ziti for the party and I had a small portion of that as well. I drank only water. I did not feel deprived. The only thing was I did not get in my treadmill and I usually do on Sunday. I got on my scale at home this morning and I am showing a loss. I am hoping that is what it shows tomorrow at wi but I was glad to see a loss today. |

That's why I like being under the "other" category...we did lc and found something other than lc that we enjoy and it works for us!!!
If lc still works for them then hey! My coworker joined ww on Sat!!! So I have some support!!! she's on flex but she understands the struggle ![]() |

Good call on having salad at the party, Slim! Glad you didn't feel deprived - feels good, right? Yeah, I loved the rapid results from Atkins (and the reaction I got from everyone), but I hated feeling like I had to keep the carbs under 20 OR ELSE - hated being nervous at parties/restaurants.
Hey Dedicated - How tall are you? Looks like we have around the same weight ranges ![]() Thursday will be my first WI back "on the wagon" - first full week of tracking points again. Let's hope for the best! I hope to break 245 by then! |
