Hi

Apart from the obvious, ie, are you actually fat or do you just see yourself much worse than you are, have you been to see your Doctor about this? There are a number of medical conditions that cause weight gain and despite a great eating and exercise plan can make losing weight almost impossible. This can very often be corrected with a one a day pill (in some instances). I appreciate your difficulty and the frustration that you are feeling. Don't try to self diagnose but get to your GP, explain the situation and with luck they will do some blood tests to rule out any medical cause. Sorry if you've already done this.
Best of luck anna

Well I am signing up for this months challange but have fallen short of my goals the last 2 months. My motivation and energy levels are so low its hard to get my arse into gear to do this during the weeks. Next week is off as my daughter is in a show so no free time at all next week. I will aim to do 10 hours in May.

1hr of 10 in 10 completed.

I'm still struggling with the behind exercises. How long did it take everyone else to become comfortable with these exercises?

I have been thinking the same thing. Something's not adding up here.

Good advice.

Marsha: WOW What fantastic results!

Nola: I want to second that about the doctor. If you haven't been recently to talk about this please do so. In addition to a possible medical condition it could also be a medication you are taking or a supplement you are taking that works against a medication or....... you get the idea, it could be anything. If you have recently seen a doctor and all that is ruled out, have you considered a dietician or an organized program like weight watchers or Jenny Craig (just examples, not endorsements) where you can actually meet with live people to guide you in your diet? I wish you the best in your goal, we are all pulling for you.

I'm really impressed, I hope my 41 hour pix look that good!

I do callan 3-5 times a week. And I will tell you ......you wont believe this.... I have lost no weight. In fact I gained some. But I am in my smaller clothes and that is what Im relying on for now. So just cause scale not moving dont give up ...measure...measure..measure.

You've lost no "scale weight" (well, I mean you've obviously gained some muscle and lost fat) and done that well.

Holy Moley!

Ok, I think I'm going to try add AM/PM 2x a week to my 10/10 3x a week now.

Forget Jeannie... I'm sick of staring at her tushy anyway, you need your pix on a new DVD!

I want results like lildragonfly! You look fantastic!

Another hour this weekend, on top of all the physical activity that's involved in do-it-yourself home renovations. I really saw a difference in the mirror in my stomach yesterday morning, too!

ok, I can barely contain myself! It's Monday morning and I'm getting dressed for work and the suit I have on is just too big, (size 16). I think I got used to not wearing tight clothes, but loose ones don't look good either. Anyway, my DS suggested I try one of her suits, (size 12) now yall I did not think I had a chance in he!! in fitting that suit, but I did! the waist is a little snug but the thighs/butt look great. My coworkers confirmed it. I just may set a new goal for the end of the summer. Maybe a size 8?

I'm off to Paris in a minute!! I won tickets to see the fabulous Madonna in concert there tomorrow night

So excited. I don't think I'll get to do Callanetics for a couple of days.

Lurking

Okay I've been lurking around for about 1 month now and doing Callanetics every other day for about 2.5 weeks now and already see a great change in my body and expect to see more. I'm a bit of a bigger girl anyways and after 2 kids (one was 11 pounds 12 oz) well I'm sure it's going to take awhile. Sorry I did not take pics - I'd be a bit too embarrased - sorry - but I've decided once I hit 20 hrs I will no matter what. Let me also say that everyone in this post is such an inspiration to me and definitely swayed my decision to go steal my mother's old VHS copy of callanetcs. I just LOVE it and often feel so relaxed after I fall asleep!

I would like to know if anyone has any specific exercises or pose/form for tightening up the area we larger ladies refer to as our 3rd and 4th breasts (the area underneath your arm pit that is "hidden" under the band of your bra). Also does anybody know where I can take a class that is near Fredericksburg, Virginia. I've checked so many places I'm dizzy and I really want to get my form right.

Thanks for your acceptance and love.

Hey there!
Welcome!
The waist-away is great for tagreting the 3rd breast, also the underarm tighter is great too.

My goal for my holiday is to lose atleast another 3 inches from my waist i lost 2 in the first 2 weeks so i think thats acheiveable if i can do that ill be a size 8

Low Back Pain

OK so I was doing Callanetics 10/10 & Callanetics Evolution. Everything was going fine. All of sudden I get the great idea of "let me try Pure Barre". Well that workout doesn't include alot of stretching as it should. Now my low back is hurting and has been for 3 days.

So I've stopped doing any Callanetics because of the low back pain. Now the pain is getting to be less but it is not gone. Should I attempt Callanetics 10/10? I read that people say this is a good workout if you have some ailments.

Please help me decide.

lildragonfly you look fantastic!!!! and no weightloss

I'm still loving callanetics...I still can't do all the ab exercises during the video...so I do extra before I go to bed, but the leg exercises are really easy for me to do now I feel like I'm doing something wrong there so easy....should I do more of them???? I've always had really strong-muscular legs....no saddle bags..not much fat on them except the inner thighs

Did one hour of 10 in 10 today. Ds is home sick today, so I'll have to wait until later to do some cardio - I'm busy watching cartoons and playing board games!

I'm feeling really good (now that TOM is gone) about my progress. My weight isn't going down but I think that's my diet. My shape is slowly (sloooowwwlllyyy) changing for the better, but I let myself go for awhile so I can't expect instantaneous results. I know my "core" is stronger, I move better, and my joints feel different - more open. I do see more dimples in the cellulite on my legs - I'm assuming this means it's moving or breaking up?
