Br: smoothie D: mushroom and swiss burger and salad I dont know much about Schwarzbein sp? Any good info anyone can share? I tend to have a carb addiction so I am afraid if I eat a bite of carbs it will send me spiraling out of control. Although I wouldnt mind a pizza once in a while Is there such a thing as being allergic to carbs? When I would eat carbs I would always sneeze a lot and one right after another. I have noticed that I dont sneeze as much anymore. When I would have a sneezing attack it would be after a high carb meal like pizza and sweets. Anyone have any insight to this? Hope everyone is having a great saturday!

Thanks Ladies for the prayers for my friends father. I thought he was going to pass away last night-the news we were receving was not good at all. The good news is that he has now stablilized, although he is still in critical conditon, it looks like he might pull through. This is fantastic news! Thanks again!

I have hardly eaten since coming out of training in my new job. As of today, I have lost an unhealthy 8lbs since last Monday. Due to this, I have decided to let myself eat whatever I want today. My body is in need of food. I plan to eat on plan but may just splurge.

Eat whatever you've been craving, do not worry about carb count or calories at all. Enjoy it whatever sounds good, then finish the day with complex carbs. Carb cut-off is 3 hours before bed. Go back to LC tomorrow. This is Ketogenic! ![]() XO, HB PS: Congrats on the 8lbs lost (!), but you're right, it's an unhealthy weight loss as without strength training or adequate protein, you've lost some LBM - and ultimately, that wrecks metabolism and slows your calorie burn. If you can incorporate some resistance weights training, that would be ideal to help prevent any further loss of LBM and keep your metabolism humming! ![]()

I totally pigged out today. I feel much better as strange as that sounds. I was practically starving myself last week. I am not too concerned about the scale tomorrow but more concerned on making sure I am well nourished.
Cant wait to hear how you like your Capella drops, HB. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. |

I went shopping today and found a great pair of jeans. I tried on some tops and they all looked good on me except in my arms. My neckline area looks nice now where you can see my collarbones and even my tummy is not bloated looking anymore and is improving, but my upper arms look like I stole them from a 200lb football player. They just dont look like they belong on me. Anyone have any similar body parts that just drive you crazy? I am going to keep plugging away and hopefully when I hit my goal weight my arms will have slimmed down and actually look like they belong to me.

I've always been more concerned with my hips and thighs than my arms. After my pregnancies, my belly became a focus point. Lately, though, I tried on a few blouses that fit fine except that the arms were too tight.
I didn't expect that and it's made me look more closely at them and see that apparently they need some of my focus, too. ![]() B: 2 cinamon biscuits, coffee L: crab, bacon and avacado omelet D: bunless burger, salad S: breve latte It's late. I'm going to bed soon. Nighty, night ladies! |

Hello ladies...
It's me....I'm still alive... Well I kinda fell off the wagon for the last few days...a week if you include the yogurt/fruit days...the 2nd time I've fallen off since I started back again...the 1st time being around Valentine's...that virus kinda kicked my butt...oh and I'm not over Roger either ...found out I was just dating as a distraction...will be focusing on my business and other things that need attention this month and then hopefully I'll be doing better by the end of the month and will feel like dating again...ugh...secretly I'm hoping that either Roger & I can somehow work things out or that I just magically bump into Mr. Perfect For Me Right Now while I'm out and about...so nice and simple ....I'm back on and may even do induction type menu for the next week or so... I don't have time to catch up on posts except for this... Liz - I'm so glad to hear your friend's Dad is doing good...I said a little prayer when I read your post...your new apartment sounds awesome...regarding the sneezing/sniffles...could be that your immune system is stronger because of the no flour/sugar thing...my arms & knees are the spots I need to work on most - the knee thing has been improving greatly with Callanetics...the arms are improving VERY slowly...I'm going to start incorporating push-ups... Angel - so cool that someone thought you were 17...gotta love that ![]() HB - too much good info...I do hope I'll have time at some point to look it all over...how's the Callanetics going?...thanks for posting the Cleo's blog and her new 'doughnut' creation...that looks amazing! Jenn...so glad to have your here...you sound like a fun addition to our group...a free spirit...So as far as the 18th to get together...I need to know that we're doing this FOR SURE cuz I have a client in SC that night and I'd need to move her...I also work until 4:30 in Saratoga that day so I'd only be able meet for dinner - I'm totally willing to drive to Berkeley though - maybe a few of us could carpool? Hope y'all have a great Monday - today's kinda my Friday this week so I'm very happy ![]()

Hey Angela! Great to hear from you!
FOR SURE Dinner on Sunday, May 18th! I can't wait to meet ALL of you + but of course we'll need to choose an establishment that's legal for minors so 17-year old Angel can come too! ![]() Berkeley or San Francisco or Wherever sounds great to me! ![]() I haven't been doing so hot w/ Callanetics. I've only done 10/10 once; Evolution once; Quick Stomach once. But I have been doing upper body strength training almost every other day + HIIT sessions on the elliptical. I'm the BIGGEST procrastinator when it comes to exercise. No idea why. I always feel great afterward. It's just getting started that's hard for me. I did a whole session w/ my hypnotherapist on this issue; guess it still needs some more work. ![]() I wanna tone & define my arms like Watch-Me-Shrink! But trust me, I'm a looooog way from there! ![]() JMO, but I think using dating as a distraction is healthy; nothing wrong with that! Good luck w/ your Induction this week. You'll be back on track in no time! ![]() Hey Jenn, how was the Wine Festival today?? I adore wine. ![]() TTYL, I gotta catch-up on all of my macros over the past 3 days so I can post in my blog for my "nutritional coach" to review. That btinc really knows his stuff! He offered to help me (for free!) as long as I give it my ALL which I definitely plan to do! I've never done anything like this before and I'm looking forward to the journey and to seeing where it takes me. ![]() XO, HB Sunday: 23 Carbs B: 1/4 cup blackberries B: 1.5 egg omelet w/ fresh spinach & organic white cheddar B: 1/2 avocado B: 2 .5 oz turkey bacon S: ThinkThin chocolate fudge bar L: Egg Cream Frappuccino w/ 1 pkg Jay Robb's whey PP - vanilla S: ThinkThin chunky peanut butter bar D: 6 oz angus beef tenderloin fillet D: 2.5 oz green beans D: 3 cups baby spring mix D: 1/2 tomato D: 1 Tbsp TJ's organic BC dressing Last edited by hummingbird11 : 05-05-2008 at 12:00 AM. |

Happy Monday! I'm a little irritated because I've been 145 for the past few days, and then this morning, I'm 146.
Up, down, up, down, up down. *Sigh*Welcome back, Angela. It's good to see you. I'd be up for carpooling on May 18th.HB, don't worry about me. I'll bring my fake id. ![]() |

Well, when I weighed-in on Friday (B4 my planned carb fest/refeed) - I was at 165 lbs which is 2 lbs up from the previous week at 163 lbs.
I really don't sweat the up & down of 1 or 2 pounds - it's natural weight fluxuation. IMO, 3+ is when you gotta pay attention and course correct. Now for me, the Lymphedema really messes with the scale readings (weight and body fat) so I just can't be a slave to the numbers. I would go insane. I weighed on Saturday (post carb-up) and I still weighed 165 lbs - whew. I'll weigh again this Friday AM. Angel, you've some SO FAR. Try not to sweat it as long as under 148. Liz, how do you feel today? I hope getting back on LC was no problem! |

Sunday, May 18 ~ Dinner
Hey Liz!
If we all meet at a restaurant in Dublin, do you think you'd be able to PLEASE have dinner with us? Puhleeze?? Any place that you'd recommend? Since Angela has to work until 4:30 in Saratoga ~ what time should we plan to meet up? I'm totally flexible on time/location that day. XO, HB Last edited by hummingbird11 : 05-05-2008 at 12:42 PM. |
