You know I'm just giving you a hard time sweetheart. And good job with DH --- you've taught him well

Have no idea why I'm up so early when I don't have to. During the week when I have to I could just pull those covers up and stay asleep but on the weekend when I have the opportunity to sleep in, there I am with wide open eyes even before when the alarm would go off

Sipping on coffee (latte, espresso, cafe whatever) and waiting for 'The Dish Man'. Having trouble with the TV cable in the LR and the first available appt was today (Sunday go figure) between 8 - noon. It's been out for a week so we grabbed it.

Then it's out to the gardens to plant the tomatoes, some herbs, eggplants and a mess of wildflowers. Good luck with your new plants Monika. Lot's of & attention will do them just fine. Speaking of gardening, Lise those pics of your fleurs are beautiful.

Sandy --- how was mom's party? Hoping it was simply wonderful for all.

Time to pour another whatever..............

Good morning!
Lou: Loved your wonderful pics and laughed reading your stories. Thanks for sharing....banana hammocks! Only 6 pounds? You'll drop that in no time...some of it is probably water.....glug, glug, glug!
Sandy: How did your Mom's party go? Hope it was a wonderful day!
Patty: How is Emma doing? How is your job going? Congrats on your WW anniversary.
Carol: DH planted my tomato plants bought off ebay yesterday. Heirloom varieties. Cherokee purple and Black krim. He planted a bunch of 2 year old asparagus roots too. Turned very cold yesterday. How about this weather? Hope we have a nice long Summer to harvest some of our veggies.
Lise: Thinking of you and hoping W is feeling better!
Jenn: My dad used to grow eggplants. He used to have a BIG garden. I have one plant, a grape tomato, in a 5 gal bucket on the back porch and then Randy planted to rest of the tomatoes along the driveway.
Hugs to everyone else...my brain is not in gear yet....one more cup of coffee...

Hi Marie - E is fine - she will be out of school in 2 1/2 weeks ending with kindergarten graduation The job fell through about 1/2 way through the training - about 1/3 were asked to leave. They felt we weren't grasping the "insurance concept" which is kind of funny because the people they kept were the one surfing the internet all during training.. oh well...not much else here for work at this time but still looking. I even sent my resume to the hospice because they had an office position available.

After Emma is done with school, we will look at a few other options, including leaving the area if need be. A few other changes have been going on the last few months so it may just all come together

to everyone- have a great day and week ahead!

I was up not so bright and early today. I'm still enjoying the fact that I'm back in my own bed. That's the one thing about vacations....you always feel better in your own bad afterwards. Especially when you have the dogs and kitties in there with you.

Had my coffeeish Kona coffee this morning - we're saving it for the weekends only. Jenn, you can give me a hard time any time you want to. Mocha and latte are the same thing to me, and I'm sticking with that story.

I got rather addicted to fresh pineapple on the cruise and was happy to see it was on sale at the grocery store.

Is anyone else completely freaked out by the huge increases in the cost of food these days?

Anyway, I enjoyed the pineapple and a egg Mcmuffin for breakfast- 1 egg, a 1 pt English muffin and a little cheese - 4 pts, 5 with the pineapple.

So, I have lots to do today. I'm slowly easing into the work week. I could so get used to being an independently wealthy non-working stay at home mom to the dogs and cats.

Hi all, Party was a giant success but I'm exhausted today. We had 30 people and everybody had a great time. I had a bad night sleeping with bad backaches so I'm really just not with it today.

Pattyto you, maybe something will come your way when you least expect it. I will sayfor you, sweetie.

Jenn, we gotta keep Lou on her toes, she's been on a cruise though so it will take a bit for her to get her mind back, . I'm going to look for those Latte/mocha (just kidding you, Lou) bars. And 1 point is great. I am addicted to those mint chocolate snack bars that they sell at the meetings. They taste JUST LIKE those Girl Scout cookies that they make. I got 1 box last week when I weighed in and another 2 this week, one to keep at work and 1 to keep here. They're 2 points each. You can only get them at the meetings, they're not sold in the grocery. I LOVE the lemon one's too. The lemon ones are bigger, but still 2 points.

I FINALLY got the birdroom cleaned. WOW, I left it go way too long, 11 birds make one hell of a mess and when you don't keep up on it, well... lets just say that I'm not doing that again. I'm going to go to Lowe's to see what kind of paint chips I can find and wallpaper border samples, I'm going to paint the birdroom when John goes to Canada. I'm leaning towards a very soft pale sage or a very pale grey.

My eating was horrible this weekend and all the while I was texting Andrea and giving her pointers. My downfall was those little dinner mints like the pastel ones, the ones that people have at showers, etc. 17 mints are 1 point, but they all add up. So TOMORROW it's back on plan!!! I'm going to go to Bally's with my little paper with my new membership number and get my card (hopefully, the lady I talked to said that they'd send me a confirmation number over the internet, but I gave her the wrong email address, I left the 130 out of my email address, but she said when I paid my dues that I can take that paper with the new number and get my new card. I've been a member since 1983, but I left it lapse 2 years ago, then they sent me a "come back" letter but didn't have the money then either, it was due in December and well... when Alyssa was born I spent the money on her for Christmas, same as this year) but now it will be due in June so that will be better. I just hope the lady was telling me right and I can get my card. On the mornings that I don't have Alyssa I'm going to go work out, I need to get exercise in, I have lapsed in that area and maybe now I will use my membership. I didn't use it since about 1988 cuz it wasn't convienent for me with having a child, now I can go on the mornings that I don't have Alyssa.

Gotta go, a few more things to check out before I head off to bed. We had Alyssa all weekend (except for when she went home to sleep) so that Kim and Brad could pack, they're done except for the last minute things that they need this week. Plus I cleaned my birdroom, man was that a job. I left it go entirely too long. The birds act like they're in shock. I'm going to go to Lowe's tomorrow to get some paint chips and wallpaper border samples. I'm going to paint it when John's in Canada. I'm leaning towards a very soft pale sage or a very soft pale grey. It kind of depends on a border that I can find. I'm sure the birdies would like their room redorated. haha.

Everyone have a great Monday. Nite WW friends

Yes, 357 equals one day's points. And today I could be very happy eating 357 mints. And that's all. Pass the mints please?

Forgot to say....... Rebecca. I'm saving you from the mints. Honest.

Good morning!
Almost time to get ready and start my day. Wanted to jump on here and say hello. I think I am going to ask both jobs for next Monday off. This is going to be a rough week maybe.....One girl that works a couple hours into my shift if off today and the girl that bills is off tomorrow and Weds. Someone will cover each night but I think it will still be rough....
Megan was home over the weekend. She goes back to ISU this afternoon, has finals tomorrow and Weds and then is home for the SummerWe just got used to her being gone....at school. Now she will be home again.
Randy had a great time fishing yesterday. He took one of his brothers and our son in law. Randy got stuck filleting all the fish. DSIL doesn't know how to fillet and really doesn't have any desire to....oh, well. Randy said next time they will probably catch and release but tonight we will have fish sauteed on the stove and DD and her DH will have fish also probably....bluegill and bass.

Hi guys,
I'm having a really hard time getting my eating back in control. This is the longest "out of control" time I've had in probably about 3 years at least. It all started on vacation in Feb. and I keep starting to eat right every Monday and by Thurs. I'm totally messed up again. And sometimes even by Monday night! I'm up on the scale higher than I've been in a very long time too. I'm going to try to get remotivated today and try, try, try again. It's really starting to get scary. Nothing's changed except me and my mindset. Life goes on and I keep making bad choices instead of good ones. Food is truly an addiction. Right when you think you're in total control and you can eat this or that, that monkey can wake right up and jump right back on and hold on with a stranglehold. I've got to loosen the grip.

Sorry to be a downer on a bright shiny Monday morning, but I felt the need to share and I knew you'd all understand. Thanks for that, BTW.

good morning my WW friends.
Did not work out this morning.. I think Iwill try to go at around noon.. or early afternoon.
DH took DS jeep to work... so.. I slept in! hahahahh.
Tomorrow I have to show up for jury duty.. so I am not working out in the morning again.. hope I will get dismissed and than I can go work out later tomorrow also...

Sorry Sandy to hear you are suffering from a little bit of "relapse" in the weight loss department..
this happens and we all have to deal with it.. and yes indeed.. food for us is an addiction... sigh.
I think we probably will never overcome and unlike with other addictions.. we just can't quit eating! sigh!
I saw that on Friday at our pot luck dinner... our friend had sliced French bread...
I just had one slice.. but I tell.. it was a battle after that to just have that one slice and not go back and have another .. and another..
I was salivating.. and drooling over it like one of my puppies. What saved me was my gum.. and my crystal light water... but it was horrible..

DH was not as successful, he just munched away.. slice after slice.. with BUTTER on it an inch thick!

The good thing is that we do NOT have this stuff around the house here.. and as long as we are eating at home.. I am somewhat in control! As soon as we go out... I am really struggling.

Good news for me here.. I was finally back down in the 160's! LOL!
169.6Lbs. I will take that.
I have been down to that number a few weeks ago.. but than went out to Red Lobster.. and..well.. gained 3lbs over night! hahahahah
So.. hopefully this time I will stay down

Welcome back Mel! Tell us all about your trip when you get a chance.

Lise and Monika - congratulations on sticking to plan and losing the weight.

Sandy - I hear you. I have been out of control far longer than you. Probably since the holidays. My weight has slowly been creeping up and this cruise absolutely killed me. I'm depressed and ashamed of myself. None of the size 10's I bought last year fit, and the 12's are getting really tight. I don't think I look too awful in the Hawaii pictures, but there's a huge difference between how I look in those and how I look in pictures taken a year ago. Like you, I just keep making bad choices. I have the plan in place and then I don't follow it. I'm not sure what I am going to have to do to change this. I guess try harder, like you say. Let's see if we can work on this together.

I am about to be swamped with work. So far nobody has called me though. Shhh...maybe they forgot I was coming back.

Sounds great Lou! Today is so far, so good. I went to the gym and have made good choices so far, but it's not even lunch time yet, lol. I feel strong today though and that seems to make a big difference for me.

I think what I need to do is write out my plan. And stick to it. I am doing what I always do.....I'm having the same thing for breakfast and lunch and snacks every day and changing up dinner. Today:

Cream and coffee - 1 pt
egg/egg beater / egg white / cheese - 4 pts
pineapple - 1 pt
Lean Cuisine meal w/extra veggies - 5-6 pts depending on which one I choose
strawberry shake (whey powder / strawberries / milk) - 4 pts
cheeseburger w/English muffin bun - 6 pts

And that's that.

I also plan on walking the dog later.
