Thanks!
And yes, these are dreds. But they started out as braids.

Anna, I'm not craving anything LC now, but I do have a favorite LC indulgence...steamed snow crab legs with lots of garlicky butter. Hmmm....I haven't had that in a while. Time to get cracking!

Today's menu:
b. ham w/mayo & 2 oopsie rolls
l. chicken wings, creamy cauliflower, coffee
s. 1/4 pound beef frank with mustard
d. bbq ribs w/lc sauce, cole slaw, herb tea
water: not enough
exercise: does shopping count???

Ok, anybody think those 100 calorie snack packs are out of control. I was in a BJ's club today, because I was hoping to get almonds packaged in single serve packs. I have no self control around a can of nuts. But I am satisfied with a single pack. What did I find? 100 calorie packages of Almonds! I was thinking .....umm....there must be like 5 nuts in a single pack. And the price was almost double for what you would pay for the same sum total of nuts in a jar. So I decided to pass on that. It's probably not a good idea for me to keep nuts in the house anyway.

I have a question for everyone....what is your guilty (maybe a little embarrassing) pleasure? As for me, I love watch Judge Judy! I love to watch all the crazies and liars and how she tears them down. I think it's hilarious.
Anyway, gotta go....Judge Judy is on.

As for TV???????? Too many to name!! I am a reality TV junkie! You name it -- I watch it. American Idol (definitely me #1 show), The Real World, The Bachelor, Blind Date (that is still on at like 3 am! lol), all those MTV and VH1 shows like Parental Control, Rock of Love, I Love New York, Flavor of Love......... I don't know if I quite feel guilty about it though! I me trashy shows, and I'm proud of it!

Oh, I did just think of a pleasure that I actually feel guilty about: I watch QVC/HSN and rag on all the ridiculous things they have on there and how the hosts just so happen to think that every single item on there is the best they've ever seen! "Oh my gosh, this sweater is the most comfortable, beautiful garment I've ever seen.." ........... 20 minutes later and talking about a different shirt, "Wow, I've never felt anything as soft as this shirt! It is just gorgeous too! I have 7 of these at home!!!" Yeah, sure you do, LOL.

Me menu for the day:

Breakfast: that darn coffee drink that I discovered which I'm apparently addicted to now (hazelnut coffee, splenda, and cream, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon)

Lunch: I'll probably order Asian food, like steamed veggies and chicken without any sauce, and then add some other soy sauce (sugarless) that I have at home

Dinner: Not sure yet because I'm going out to eat. Probably a salad with grilled chicken on it.

I hope everyone is doing well today! And just an update on the cheating: each day that I get past it, I feel better and better. Thank you all again SO MUCH for helping me through that.

And I have to confess that I measured again today: me waist is still up 1 inch, but me hips are down 1 inch from where I started, and me thighs are back to their normal size. Hooray for that!

that's great!
I still think the jeans idea is good. I bought some jeans today that I *thought* were 2 sizes too small so I could try them on every now and again and see how far off fitting they are... but they fit already lol . I also bought a swimming costume in the size I usually buy and that's huge on me! (Going to start going swimming again I stopped going because I hate how I look, but, it's exercise that I enjoy doing.. so.. I don't care what I look like ).

B: A piece of cheddar cheese (was in a rush to get to the farm)
L: Omelette with cheese and brocolli... was yummy! And sugar free Frutella.
D: Nothing.. going to go and make a salad though!

I drank a litre and a half of water today and not much coffee, without even thinking about it .

I'm supposed to be at a party now, everyone from the farm is there, including my mum and stepdad. I offered to babysit cos I knew if I went I would drink. So, I'm at home on a Saturday night, babysitting the brats, whilst my mum and dad are out having a good time. How sad is that?!?!

Oooh yeah I meant to say something about that too.. everytime I want to cheat and don't I find it easier to not cheat next time! I just try to remember that even though I might want something now, in 10 or 15 minutes I probably wont want it anymore, and I know I'll feel better later for not having it. If I do cheat I try not to beat myself up about it *too* much otherwise I just end up giving up altogether and thinking what's the point.. I've already ruined it now, which doesn't get me anywhere!

Hi everyone,

I am going to have to drop out of this challenge for this month... the boys and I leave for vacation in 3 weeks and my goal is to have the house completely unpacked and put together (pics & decorations up, etc.) before we go. As I've discovered over the past 3 days, this is going to keep me pretty busy, so there is no way I can promise to post every single day. I'm not disappearing from the board, just probably won't have time to post or read much between now and then. I want to do this challenge right, so I'm going to continue on my LC & exercise path, but just wait to commit to this challenge group until after we're back from vacation.

(And then I WILL post pics and measurements, etc... I promise, Lucy! )

Do well, everyone! I'll be back about the 2nd week of June.

OK, I have to admit to this......I have bought quite a few things from HSN & QVC. And yes, they do tend to over hype their products. But I've gotten a lot of good stuff from them. Honestly!!!

Morning ladies!

Well, I broke my first rule of this challenge but I'm taking accountability--I didn't post yesterday, opps! But I promise I'll make up for it by posting at least a couple times today! Oh, and I wasn't off eating sugar--I was very good yesterday--just ended up being crazy busy again!

b: omelet and jello fluff
l: hamburger, salad and deviled eggs
d: not sure yet--once again I need to get to the store

I'm going to go do some reading and look at all the gorgeous pictures you all posted that I only had a minute to skim through the other day!

Morning shrinking beauties!!
Totally on plan, food wise, and exercise..

2 C Coffee w/whipping cream
3/4 C oatmeal
1 C strawberries
1 glass of skim milk

2 plain rice cakes w/2oz salmon, 2 tsp FF mayo, celery
1 glass of skim milk
1/2 mango

4oz turkey burger w/slice of tomato, SF zucchini relish
1-1/2C turnip fries

Teresa~ Looks like you weren't the only one who didn't post yeasterday, so I'd call it fair play, right?!

Something to think about Ladies:

As I read over some of different areas in this forum, the same thing pops up all the time, people who are 30 or more pounds over weight are looking for a extreme weight loss plan. When the fact remains if you would just clean up your diet, with lean proteins, good fats, and smaller well-timed carbs, weight loss will happen. Instead, there is this rush to lose what took you quite some time to gain. Clean up your diets and be consistent. Things don't get complicated until you're at the bottom end of body fat % for your sex. Pick something you're comfortable with and just be consistent.

Lei---I'll have to say that video turned my stomach just a bit! Wow, what the heck are in those fries? Or the Big Mack for that matter!? Well, I think I'm officially turned off of McChemical land now!

Anna--yay on the inches down! I find that my weight/inches are kind of shifting around now too. Not as much when I was larger, but now I can be up an inch or down an inch somewhere and then the loss or gain seems to move somewhere else! That's another reason that the tape measure just doesn't work for me. Maybe if I measured more places I would get a better picture--but then again, my clothes really tell me everything I need to know!

LeAnne--what are chocolate wafers? I am the sweets freak here and want to know about all things sweet and l.c.!

Alisa--I would have to say that reality shows are my guilty pleasure! Big Brother, America's Next Top Model, Biggest Loser--those have been the main ones lately but I also get into some of the MTV and VH1 shows as well! Have you been doing TTapp for very long? Do you like it? I see people talk about it here but I've never checked it out.

Carol, sorry that you have to leave for awhile but enjoy your vacation and we'll keep your spot here warm for you!

Missy--sorry that the DH is being...well, whatever he's being (it must be his fault right!)! Starbursts???

OK, I feel like we are missing people. I think Lisa was going to be gone for a day--but where is everyone else? I think we need to do role call!

I loved all the pictures. One of these days (like when I get to goal) I'll have to have someone teach me how to post some. Lei and Alisa--you both have that glint in your eyes that tells me you could get into lots of mischief! Girls after my own heart!

Dinner tonight is steak and loaded cauli. I am trying this week to have minimal (not zero--but much less) sweets, dairy, lc products and fruit but lots of everything else! Hopefully that will get the scale going down.

Have a great night everyone!

OK, I went back through to see who we are missing and it looks like Angie who is away for the weekend, Lisa who was only suppose to be gone yesterday (better get in here today little missy!), Lucy--where are ya girl?, and Lora--who popped in one day for naked pictures and then disappeared! So, roll call completed! While I was doing that I of course found many things I missed my first and second times through the thread!

LeAnne--great job on not drinking last night and on being down 2 sizes in jeans--fantastic! And you have horses??? I love horses, I'm so jealous!!

Lisa--OK, I am confused (what's new right!)! I thought when I was skimming through the other day there was a picture of you with hair covering your face, now I see a picture of a different you on the first page---OK, which is it?! I prefer the less hairy one!

Lei--chimichangas? I won't even ask.....

Alisa--yes, the 100 calorie packs are crazy! They are so expensive and just a tease if you ask me!

OK, time for din din, gotta go!

Whew! I've been at work all day and haven't had a chance to post....... and I also haven't had a chance to eat. I had a cup of coffee this morning, then another one in the afternoon (something called an "Americano"? It was good though!). Then I just ate some turkey, a 1/2 a cucumber, with some 1 carb Italian dressing on it. Hmmm.... Oh and then I ate a few tablespoons of cream cheese that I was craving for some reason. And then I ate 3 almond slivers.

Tonight I have to make (may cause cravings so I'm making it transparent... must highlight to read): carrot cake, but I'm making it LOW CARB!!! Or as low carb as it can be anyway. I'm making little "snack sized" carrot cupcakes for me mum to take to work with her because she eats like 5 of those little 100 calorie packs of cookies and crackers, and I would rather see her eating something like a healthy version of a carrot cake with me own low carb cream cheese frosting.

I just hope that I don't give in and eat it! But I'm determined not too. And I just ate all that fatty cream cheese and protein-filled turkey, so that should keep me satisfied and not craving hopefully. I'll post a little later on and just CONFIRM that I didn't eat it, lol.

I agree that I do like some of their things too! Just when you watch it for like 5 or 6 hours straight, especially the late night/very early morning ones, it just becomes funny to see them just fawn over Every. Single. Item. that they're selling.

I don't think that any forms of measurement are working for me! Me pants are fitting better though, and I don't look so............ pregnant (a gross bloated belly look) anymore. We'll get there sooner or later!!

That sounds delicious! I hope that the diet modification works well for you too. Sometimes even when I cheat () it switches things up a bit and gets me losing again! So if you're LOWERING your carbs even more, my gosh are you going to see great results!

To everyone else: hello, and I hope you're all doing well today!!!!! I'm crossing me fingers that I don't slip up tonight, but if I start to even THINK about it, I'm going to remember what happened last time. And I don't want to get yelled at! Will talk soon......

Susan---of course you can join us! Welcome, welcome!! Remember to check out the rules on the front page---Lisa will dole out the punishments if you break any of them!! I love your quote about cookies--I suspect that Lei will like it too. Wow, you have lost 60 lbs, that is fantastic! Did you lose it all using Atkins?

Anna--how did the baking and not tasting go? By the way, if they turn out good will you please post the recipe?
