Hooray! The boat is home! When's the par-tay?
![]() Well, I probably won't be on much this weekend. Tomorrow we are going to a party up in Denver and will stay the night. No drinking and driving for us. I am super excited. On Monday I have a date. With my DS14. A sushi restaurant shop became available. It is probably 75 miles or so away. But, I told him that if I ever found one, I would absolutely take him. We are leaving the rest of the family home to fend for themselves. It'll be just the two of us. We have a strained relationship. Always have. Very different personalities. But, this should be a good time for us to reconnect. And we both love food- love trying new things. So, we have decided that we will order different items to share. We have a lot of common ground with food. He is turning out to be a wonderful chef already. Thank goodness he is great with LC too. ![]() Ok, going to bed. I will talk with ya soon! Maybe I will even get a pic or two from this weekend... ![]()

Hi ladies! Missed you all a lot
Just did my 3-12 hour shifts. These last few days has kicked my hiney. I have been totally bad on my diet. How have you all faired? Back on track again, but boy did i ever over do it. Oh well important thing is that i keep trying huh? You all have an open invitation to come party on my boat. In fact, I am going to learn how to drive it and we are going to have an all girl weekend. No boys allowed. Egads! that should be interesting. Stacy your a brave girl to be eating sushi. I know a lot of people that just love it. Doesn't seem like my cup of tea. I am sure if i tried it though, i would probably like it. It is good that you and your son get the time together to connect. You will have fun! How is that swimsuit fitting? It sure is a sexy one. I think i am going to sit down next weekend and design my own. I am a bit handy with the sewing machine. Justine, how did the gs outing go? Were u able to stick to lc? I bet you had fun. I remember one time when my kids were little we sat around a campfire and it was their idea to tell ghost stories. They ended up scaring themsleves so bad that i had to sit in the back of the truck with them on the way home. We still laugh about that to this day. It didn't help matters that everytime we slowed down that i would say "what was that noise?" Then they would start screaming again. Ha ha ha ha I am such a mean mom. Betty Lou, how was the concert and gambling? Did u bring home the big bucks? Did u have a good time? How did your dieting go? As i mentioned earlier, I was very bad these last few days. I get on the scale on Tuesday. We shall see if i have gained. I did workout though except for last nite i was soooo tired that i decided to take a little 1/2 hour nap and ended up having a 2 hour one. I woke up and said ohhhhh heck! now it is time to go to bed. I didn't get to work out. tomorrow, i plan on working in the yard. It has been really nice weather these past 2 days. Hope it holds up. Then on Tuesday I am going to meet my gal pal for a latte and then go look at fridges with her. Then i want to go price some upholstery fabric for the boat. I have to fit in cleaning the car sometime. My baby needs a big fat bath and interior cleaning. I can not believe the gas prices! I am glad she is good on gas. My son and a few people from work want to take a class on zorbing. I always thought that looked fun. It is 40 dollars for a 3 sessions class. I am so going to do it! Then my co-workers have signed us up for a river rafting trip in June. I have never been on a rafting adventure. Hmmmmm sounds fun too! well that is all i know for know. Hope you all are doing well. TTYL

Justine, sounds like u did the best you could with the tools u had at hand. I mean you could have totally blown it like me for 4 days. Good job!
How is your battle going Stacy? How was the sushi? Yur a brave woman. It just does not appeal to me. I am sure if i ever tried it, i would probably like it. I don't need another thing that i like to tempt me. How was the time spent with your son? I hope you both connected. Betty Lou, how was the concert and gambling? Did u win any money? When are u taking us all out to dinner with your winnings? hahahahahah. You have a good time with your mom? Great job on your weight loss! I am dreading the scale tomorrow. So far i have had some cottage cheese this am, and then a chicken salad this afternoon. Going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo tonight at an Italian pub hahahahaha. We co-workers are hanging out hopefully by the fire pit. I will probably have another salad and some miller lite since it is low carb and doesn't give me a headache later. I made sure i had lots and lots of water today. Worked in the house today and stepped outside a few times to soak up the sun. Such a beautiful day. I didn't work out today. Just didn't feel like it. I slept in till 10 am and just have not had much energy these past few days. I don't know what is wrong with me. I don't feel sick. Just drained and no energy. Wonder if it is due to having high carbs recently. What do u girls think? It is not even time for my TOM |

Hey All!!!!
Hello!
Had a great time in Niagara Falls! "Engie" was really good. Hahahaha! Don't laugh! But he was! I actually knew some of the songs. Now, remember, I went for my Mom. She absolutely loves him. And you know what???? He really wasn't bad at all! He's a very good singer! He was really nice looking.....all dressed up in black tux with that stripe down the side, crispy white shirt and black bow tie. Sounds queer, but he really looked good. Then I guess he was trying to be romantic.....hahahaha! Got a GREAT deal on the hotel room! Even though we made reservations way ahead of time, for some reason, they didn't have 2 rooms. We wanted one room for my Mom and brother......2 double beds. And one room for me and hubby......1 bed. I don't think they had the 2 double beds. Anyway, they offered us this gorgeous SUITE for the same price. And in that suite was a huge bathroom, walk-in shower, and a gorgeous huge jacuzzi. There were two bedrooms, one with the 2 beds, and 1 with a king size bed. So, that worked out great! God I love staying in hotels!!! It's just so nice. Before we went to the concert, we went out to dinner to this really nice steak-house. In fact too nice........the prices were way up there! But that actually was ok, because we saved so much on the room. I was "kind of" good. Kind of. Like I didn't need that extra piece of that warm, delicious, chunk of homemade bread. But I ate it! Crispy crust on the outside, and warm and moist on the inside. With butter! Other than that, I had steak (probably alittle bigger than I should have eaten), salad, veggies, and some baked potato. So.......it wasn't the greatest, but oh well. I had a feeling that would happen. Later on I didn't snack on one single thing, so that helped. Actually, I didn't need to......I wasn't hungry! LOL! ![]() The next morning, got up and went out to breakfast at this Mom and Pop type of diner. Real nice. Guess what? FRENCH TOAST! ![]() And bacon. I didn't eat the entire breakfast, so I felt like I did ok. We also went to the Butterfly Conservatory. HOW COOL! It was like a huge green house, with pretty stones/rocks/walkways......and there must have been 2 million butterflies flying around! They were sooooo cool! Darn it, I left my camera in the car. You could watch them feeding and there were a ton of different species. Really neat. Did a few other things, but had to be home by 7 p.m. to pick up my dogs. Everything was so relaxing and fun too. The following day I weighed myself. Ugh. Up about 3-4 pounds. I was hoping it was just all salt or something and that it would come off. And luckily, it DID! I am relieved! But I'm not stopping. I'm still in the mind-set to lose. Today I started "extra-good" again. Not that I messed up in the weeks before, but kind of feel like I'm starting again due to the weekend. I am eating small meals with healthy snacks (veggies, limited fruit). I'm hoping to lose a few pounds this week. I think I should be able to.......we'll see what next Monday shows on the scale. Eve, you're boat is beautiful!!!!! How cool!!!!!!! I would DEFINITELY take you up on the invitation if you weren't so far away! You are going to have alot of fun this summer. You guys must be really excited to get it in the water! Do you tan? I don't. I am sooo fair. I just burn. And what little sun stays on me......when I shave my legs......I shave the tan off! Hahahaha! I can't even call it a tan really. I do get alot of freckles. I was always strawberry blonde hair with freckles! LOL!Oh, forgot about the gambling. I'm not a big gambler. And I didn't win. Once I was up about $30.00. All in all I only lost 6 dollars! So I can't complain about that! It was alot of fun. Justine: It doesn't sound like you did too bad while camping. Keep up the good work! You don't sound like you're a breakfast eater.....only 1 cheese stick! Wow! Again, I would pass out! We are all in this together, so BYE BYE WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() Stacy, hope you had a good time with your son! But Sushi? ![]() ![]() ![]() Not for me! LOL! Some people really like it. Look at the Chinese people.......they eat it all the time and they are SKINNY!!!!!! Have you ever seen a fat China-man? Well, I've blabbed long enough. Time to say goodnight! Goodnight! ![]() Betty Lou ![]()

Woooohoooo does the cabbage patch dance for Betty Lou. I am proud of you girl! 5 more lbs by the end of May rite? (you know for the 15 lb weight loss by the end of May) Ohhhh you will sooo do it.
Come on Stacy! how was the sushi! Did u like it or did u have to spit it out discreetly in your napkin? Hahahahahahha How much do u still have to lose for the 15 lbs challenge? I can't remember where u r in your weight loss. How bout you Justine? are u doing the 15 lb challenge? Well i just got back from my Cinco de Mayo celebration. I am so proud of me. I had a buffulo chicken chef salad with blue cheese dressing and 3 miller lites. They have 3.2 grams of carbs per beer. I think i have stayed under 30 grams today. Damn!!!!!! i love beer. hiccup ![]() Tomorrow is the big weigh in. hmmmm wonder how bad it will be. Keeping my fingers crossed. Yep i do tan. I can get pretty dark but I am at the age now where i gotta watch those wrinkles. I like to use those tanning lotions too. Last year i went and got a miracle tan at those booths you know? I looked sooo hot i sizzled! hahahahah can u tell i have had a few beers? Have u tried those self tanners Betty Lou? Okay well gotta get in bed and try to work out in the morning before i meet my gal pal for a latte. Sweet dreams everyone. Oh btw Betty Lou, next time you go out to a fancy restaurant try going a little easy on me. You were making me drool. ![]() |

Sorry I have been MIA
Work has been so hectic this week. Just wearing me out. But, tomorrow, I will be home in my pj's working.
Ok, sushi. It was actually really good. Yes, I had a great evening. We talked a lot about nothing. Toasted to mom and son evening. Tried all kinds of new foods. Yup, even splurged on dessert. The weight loss is slow. I am down to 168, so I am not complaining. I have been good today. I made sure to take my lunch with me so I had no excuse to eat wrong. The Cinco de Mayo party was one of a kind. We all had too much to drink. Our buddy's girlfriend got pissed off at everyone. She and I got into a screaming match. We did make up yesterday, so it is all good...for the moment. Thing of it is, I am not a screamer. But, boy, she had this one coming. Gotta run. Sorry I am not real talkative tonight. Got lots of paperwork to do and I am so beat right this minute. Love you all, thanks for everything! This is my favorite thread on the web. |

Good Morning!
I have about (best case scenario) an hour's worth of work today. I stayed up til 3:30 am doing it, so that I could have part of today to lounge around. But, I figure, it will be probably twice that much worth of work. The last house I went to yesterday was quite bizarre the way it was shaped, I have no idea if I will be able to figure it out. I did warn the home owners that I may need to come back... I did a few sketches and took lots of pictures, so I hope that will help.I weighed in at 166.5 this morning. I was really good yesterday. For dinner my DH grilled pork chops. They were absolutely awesome! He rubbed them with a salt free spicy rub (I need to find that recipe again...) and then drizzled them with artificial honey. Sometimes the guy is just right on and last night was one of those nights. I also had steamed broccoli with baked potato toppings on it. I am way too addicted to that! My DH received a phone call yesterday. It was from a car dealership that he worked for about 4 years ago. They are trying to recruit him. He told the gal that he would have to be guaranteed at least $6000.mo to even consider returning. He is going to talk with the big boss today! I think that if they will guarantee that, he may go back to the car business for a little while. Then he can do the insurance on the side. While he isn't making money in the insurance, we will be able to pay bills and sock some money away. I also won't have to work as much as I have been. I am not quite sure what my feelings are on this situation yet. I am not gonna stress over it too much---until it is time for him to go and talk to the boss anyway. Alrighty, gonna get this work done so that I can play on the net! And clean the house a little bit too. ![]() |

Hi!
Hello!
How's everybody doin' tonight? Good, I hope! Me, I've got some kind of "crappy" ( ) stomach thing going on for about 2 days now. Not enough to keep me down, but just yucky. Clothes are tight in the stomach area. It's like I don't even want to wear underwear! Just get it off me! Hopefully in a day or two it will be gone! Yuk! ![]() Other than that, the food part is going pretty good. Pork chops and saurkraut tonight. You can eat a ton of saurkraut and it's only like 1 calorie! Ok, maybe a teeny bit more, but not bad at all. Not everbody likes it.......and now that I've had it tonight, I probably won't have it again for 2 months! Been drinking water......yay! Still should down a few more glasses, but I'm doing better. Stacy: That's pretty good money for your husband's old/new job! But I know what you mean.......the money will be good, and it will be good to catch up on things, but it would take time away from you and home. Hmmmmm..........but why not go for it? He doesn't have to work there forever! Go with the flow and see where it takes you! ![]() Hi Justine: Yea, 10 pounds this month would be great! I started my diet 6 weeks ago Monday, and it did take me every bit of that 6 weeks to lose the 10 pounds. For about 3-4 weeks I think I only lost ONE STINKIN' LITTLE POUND, and I was doing all the right things. Then that last week.....zoom, off came 4 pounds! So it does get discouraging, it started to for me anyway. So, hopefully I'm over that slump! One meal at a time. Your breakfast's crack me up. I can't eat that little! Hahahaha! Oh, I wanted to mention.......I see you're eating almonds. GREAT! My friend, who was dieting 2 years ago, ate almonds for every single snack. She SWEARS that is how she lost the 25 pounds. I think she was dieting for 4 - 6 months. She wasn't even a careful dieter. I think we should ALL pick up some almonds! Eve, How are you doing? I very quickly checked the Anabolic Diet. Says you eat high protein and fat Monday through Friday, then eat all (or mostly all) carbs on the weekends. That does sound like it might be something to research alittle further. You are eating very low carb the way it is, so I think you should try it for one or two weeks and see what happens! Nothing says you have to stick to it forever. Me........I don't think I could hang in there. I usually have cereal/2% milk for breakfast. And I can't eat eggs/bacon without one small piece of toast! I would always be late for work too........I have absolutely NO TIME to cook or make anything. It's crazy. I hate getting up early. ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! LOL! In fact I have my cereal at my desk at work! Keep us posted on whether or not you decide to try it! Well, going to clean up in the kitchen alittle bit now. Then go watch American Idol. My cousin got my hubby and I hooked on that stupid program! ![]() Does anybody else watch it? Eve, my birthday is June 18th. So........PARTY TIME next month! ![]() ![]() ![]() Hell, I don't need a reason to party though!!!!! But it'll make it all the more fun! See ya and have a great night! Betty Lou ![]() |

Scale reading between 230.5 and 231...I think it's the salt.
The reason i don't eat much for breakfast is because i am the laziest person in the world when it comes to breakfast. Just plan hate to cook it. Actually both my kids hate breakfast too so it makes it quite easy to just skip it. Stacy: I haven't been able to find the laptop bag yet.. I have to go to my other house over the weekend i will check there. My husband has been in the car business since he was 16 he has tried to leave but the money is too good. He now runs the service dept for a Subaru dealership and drives 57 miles one way everyday just to bring home the big bucks. Eve - I wish you luck on the new diet, i am to addicted to carbs to do that over the weekend. It would send me on a binge. When I did Atkins back in 94 I did go off every Friday...that was my playday and I still lost 35lbs in 2 months. Yesterday: D: Sausage wasn't hungry...to hot Today: B: Lc breakfast bar (never again i could taste the fake) L: Tuna and a salad D: going out to eat...Jimmy Johns...their known for their hotdogs. |

I went to a Jimmy John's for the first time not too long ago. Yummy!
Don't worry about the bag. If you run across it, great. If you don't, it is still all good. Scale is at 166. I made lc pizza last night. The crust was made out of eggs, cheese, and spices. Really good! But, I think that is possibly why I did not lose a full pound. But, any loss is a good one! Alrighty, gotta get busy on yet another busy day. I want to get as many of my assignments knocked out as I can, I will be unable to do anymore til Monday. Got a busy weekend. Company tomorrow and Saturday then a motorcycle ride on Mom's Day. Can't wait! |

just a quick stop... ive been so busy and sorry Ive not been around.
I'm going to make myself get caught up with you ladies. I'm gonna be a grandmother...kinda...my birthdaughter, whom I've mentioned very little of here.. is going to have a baby in Sept. Not too bad at 39yrs old huh? Just need to let the gray come back again. I know I wont see the baby much but at least she has our support in some way. I"ve gained and gained.. cant get with it .. you'd think with the price of food going up, I'd lose weight from not being able to shop!I'm working my tail off outside and working on a tan~! Now if I could move the weight, Id sure look good by fall~! Hugs l adies.. more later~~~

Bad day today but was expecting it
Today is mother's day lunch at my sons school. I eat 4 donut holes, 1 small choc chip cookie, a very small piece of pound cake (very small) and a couple swigs of pink lemonade to wash it down. Then they made us grilled cheese..Yes i ate it.
So I gonna be good the rest of the day and hope for the best. Tomorrow gonna consist of walking around a car show and i'm going to Shady Maples Smorgasbord in Lancaster for Mother's day dinner with my mom, mil and my best friend and his wife. Shady Maple - |

Hey Paula
great to hear from you. congrats on being a soon to be grandmother. I want to have grandkids so bad. Both my kids say fat chance. Neither one want to have kids. But, I remember saying that too when i was young. I am going to be patient. But anyways, it is good to have u back and hope you can find your mojo again. You will! It has been really hard for me lately, It has been rainy and overcast for almost 4 days. Suppose to get snow later today/tonight. My motivation gets so affected by the weather. We were going to take the boat out on it's maiden voyage tomorrow but doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate. So my dh wants to work out in the yard. Boy does it need it. Ohh nice picture Justine, your very pretty. We were looking at the same kinda boat you have, but they were all so far away. It would have cost us a ton of fuel to bring one home. Never heard of a Jimmy Johns. Sorry i haven't posted in a few day. I was doing those blasted 12 hour shifts. I swear some days, i am getting too old for them. But, i love the 4 days off a week more. hahahahaha. I have been looking into the anabolic solution diet. The more i delve into it, the more i want to try it. I think i will take your advice Betty Lou and just try it. I will let you all know when i start it. Today I am going to lift weights till failure. (that is when u lift heavy weights until your muscles fail, so about 10 reps if that) it is part of the anabolic solution. I better warm up first though. No, i couldn't get american idol on my TV. But i would have loved to be able to see it. I like dancing with the stars and I am a huge survivor fan. Except for last nites episode really bothered me and now i don't think i will watch it again. Huge CSI (Las Vegas) fan. Other than that, i don't really watch much tv. I love to go and watch movies though or rent them. Betty Lou, I hope you are feeling better, that is a weird illness you are describing. Hope it was just a 24 hour thing. So your a screamer huh Stacy? I wish i coulda been a bug on wall to see all that drama going on. I am sure the recipient deserved it though. You seem like a very level headed type. You didn't do any hair pulling or biting and scratching did you?![]() I recall being in one fist fight in my life, okay two. One time my cousin called me a **** because some guy that was dating someone else asked me out. I turned him down, so i don't see how that classified me for being a ****. I would have never laid a hand on her until i walked away and she grabbed my hair. My father was a golden gloves boxer and taught me a few things. Then the other time we were in grade school and my best friend was a very heavy set girl. All the other girls would pick on her and tease her when i wasn't around. One day i was late getting to the playground and when i did get there, they had her surrounded and she was on the ground cowering. I went at them like a mad bull i swear i was seeing red. My fists started flying. They all dispersed like the cowards they were. I didn't care that she was fat. She was the most kindest, gentlest person i had ever met. Gosh i sound like a violent person. I am sorry i have digressed. You can roll your eyes now. Stacy did your dh take the dealership job? Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to do that until he establishes a clientele with the insurance job. How is your new job going? Are u loving it? When i went fridge shopping with my gal pal, i was coveting this new washer and dryer, in red of course. That same day, my dryer broke down! can u believe that? Now dh has to get a thermostat for it. I did hint about the new lovely red ones i saw. But, my dh is a fixer upper and am sure that will not be my mother's day present. I told him i wanted to go to the Outback for mom's day. lets see, oh yeah my son got rear ended and now his car is pretty much totaled. He was stopping for the yellow lite and this car from behind hit him and pushed him into the intersection. Then he got out and started yelling at my son. My son was going to call the police and the guy said he wasn't staying and handed my son his insurance card. Now isn't that considered a hit and run? I still think my son should have called the cops. So far it seems that the guys insurance is valid and we called our insurance company as well and they said they would go after the guys insurance if they dragged their feet. So my son has had to drive the 4 wheeler to work (it is licensed and street legal) but still kinda cold out. It was raining today and i gave him a ride and will have to pick him up later. Going to red lobster tonight with the work crew. Mite be kinda bad ![]() okay i have blabbed enough a lot about nothing. You all take care and be well. Come on we can do the 15 by the end of May!!!!!! ![]() |

Hi!
I feel like I have to confess!!! I had a DOUGHNUT on Friday morning!!! AND BOY WAS IT DELICIOUSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! Glazed and gooey and soft! I could actually hear it calling me. I thought nooooo, not gonna do it. Will I regret it? (I might). Do I really want it? (Yes). Do I REALLY REALLY want it? (Yesssss). So I ate it. And yup, it was worth it! Hahahaha!!!Tomorrow Ken (hubby) and I will be taking my Mom and my mother in law out for Mother's Day brunch. 2:00 reservation. It's a pretty classy place and it's a buffett.... ![]() . I'm trying to gear up for CONTROL! You know how those buffets can be! And there are going to be waffles that are made on the spot. I really hope I don't go overboard, because THAT I will regret. So, gearing up for that! Also gearing up for the mother & mother-in-law thing. Hahahahaha! I get along great with my mother in law.......but.......not sure how it's going to be with the 2 of them together. They have 2 totally different types of personality. We'll see how it goes! ![]() Cleaned out my car today. Every last inch. Boy it looks and smells so clean. Had lots of dog hair in the back. Since I live on a kind of busy highway with no sidewalks, I alternate going for walks with the dogs, so I have to drive to town first. Eve, get that darn boat in the water already!!!!!!! I'm sorry that the weather is not cooperating!!!! I know how excited I would be to enjoy being on the boat........God it's going to be fun for you guys! I hope you get some decent weather soon! Sorry to hear that your son was rear-ended! What a b*tch! I don't know if that's a hit and run or what! In a way it is.......but at least the guy gave him the insurance information! I hope that he was able to get a rental until he finds another car! While I'm glad he wasn't hurt, it is such a burden to be without a vehicle......and now to find a new car take some time! Justine: That's a nice picture. You're very pretty! Stacy: Your daughter is gorgeous! What a shape too! Very, VERY pretty dress. I hope she had a great time! Did they go out for a nice dinner before-hand? Proms are a great memory. Paula: Congratulations on being a Grandma! And noooooo.......don't let that gray come back in . Keep that hair dye handy to be the best lookin' Grandma in town! ![]() ![]() Well, that's about all for now. Will check in later! Betty Lou ![]() |
