Hiya all,

Sorry havent been around. No time for me these days. My kids arent sleeping, and when i am sleeping its in my sons room on the air mattress. I am still on my antibiotics but both ears are still plugged. It also doesnt help that the weather has been up and down. I had a bad eating weekend but am back on track and feeling a bit better. I need a break BADLY!! The stress around here is outta my control and I feel like im gonna crack.

I locked the old thread so people don't post in the wrong one.

Spring is definately here. I've got strawberry plants blooming, they are looking good! Nice deep green leaves. Tomatoes are planted, 3 types (Roma, Better Boy and grape). We also put in 4 kinds of peppers: Bell, bananna, Holly-pee-neos and OMG!!!'s. Pami likes the hot ones, I let her buy the ones she wanted while I got the bell and bananna peppers.

In the other raised garden she wanted green beans, so I planted 2 rows of those. Bought some onion plants, sweet georgia onions...2 rows of those. Also planted some spices...Basil, Sage, Rosemary and Oregeno. Those fresh spices smell and taste so good when used in Italian sauces! And on a whim...I've got a row of carrots. Even as a kid I always wanted to grow carrots and never had any luck with them. The neighbors always grew huge carrots, but not me. We'll see how these turn out as the soil in my garden is nice and loose.

My tomatoe plants have a couple of blossums already and my beans are popping up. (I had to put a screen over them, Pami thought they were coming up too soon and was putting dirt back over them.. I can also see the line of carrots, they have sprouted as well.

Pami was busy last weekend replanting flowers that she bought for the front porch. She said they were the type to attrack hummingbirds. I told her they wouldn't work...I was going to teach those birds the lyrics..

For those planning on putting in a garden...I've found that Lowes and HomeDepot will discount the bags of potting soil, manure, compost, mulch, etc., if the bags have holes in them. I filled my raised gardens with bags of potting soil, peat moss and manure very cheaply by looking for opened bags. And you can go back every weekend and find more bags as people paw through the sack and put holes in them.

Geez...I'm babbling like a girl! Enough from me...what's happening in your world?

FC your garden sounds great!!! my garden started itself......in the compost.....have some sort of squash and maybe potatoes won't know till they are ready. we had to put our big dog down for biting so now I have plenty of room to get ready and prepare for next year. I have alot of seeds of what you have planted already. I love banana peppers!! I hope they are great!! Tell Pami hi.

I love the avatar. It made my day.

I want to plant flowers. I spent my flower money at the health food store for supplements. I hope they work

I got:
glucomanan fiber - helps w/ fiber and restores the gut.
liquid cal mag - so I can absord it better. Good for bones and natural laxative.
biotin - hair
Probiotis (35million) - helps with the gut and immune system.
1 qt of yogurt
$108.....................<thud>.

With my tum disease I'm hoping this will help......

My food has been doo-doo. I don't know where my motivation is. I want to eat right, but I don't wanna cook. I want it easy. The new job is tiring me.

Melly!! was thinkin about ya today! how's everything and everyone??

well i got sent home today. was having palpitations and my pulse was around 112. Doc says it's my sleep apnea and after waiting 3 wks for the CPAP we find out I need another study. So i'm home takin it easy. I slept for 4 hours with my O2 machine when i got home. I'm feelin a little spacy and it's still beatin pretty fast....he gave me some medicine to slow it down when i go to sleep tonight.

gonna go back and rest.......

Hi - I'm still alive. I've been workin A LOT! I was also approached by someone day before yesterday to do some bookkeeping for a few hours a week. He's going to talk to my bosses and see if we can work out some hours. It kind of sucks to be away from my kids so much (I've missed their first two baseball games already ), but it'll be so nice once I've caught up with all of my feduciary obligations (I used to date a guy who used that phrase all. the. time. )

Love ya all!

I have tomorrow off, so I'll try to check in a bit more thoroughly then...
