Hey girls! I'm feeling lighter today, though the scale does not agree. Amber, I'll try to chill out. Today was not a good day to give up dairy, so I'll try again tomorrow. I had planned Linda Sue's deep dish pizza for dinner. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the recipe, the crust is made of cheese, plus cheese, and more cheese. So tomorrow, no dairy!

So I think I may have O'd last night. I felt some middleschmertz (is that how you spell it?) and had a bit of ewcm. However, I was so tired that I could NOT bring myself to wake up hubby...

Menu:
B: egg cream w/almond milk and coconut oil instead of cream
S: rest of egg cream
L: 2 whopper juniors, no buns
D: two pieces pizza w/red peppers, onions, mushrooms, and sausage
S: cream cheese "frosting" (I'd blown my dairy goal for the day, so I thought I might as well try to get it out of the house.)

In other news, my mom has given up on the diet. She was feeling constipated and couldn't wait, so I can sympathize.

See you girls tomorrow!

Hey girls. Checking in late as I can't sleep. Ate well today but will do better tomorrow. I splurged at Starbucks and also ate some light breading on my chicken. I've been good all week though so I'm not too worried about it. I feel lighter today at least.

Nik - yep, I know that pizza. It always makes me feel guilty when making it. Let's see, you mix cream cheese with shredded cheese and cream and then cook and then add another 4 or 8 oz. of shredded cheese on top. Mmmm.... It's like a whole week's allotment of cheese in the entire thing. Just make sure to eat the right portions or freeze part of it. Sorry about your mom stopping so soon. I have the opposite problem with this diet. I become too regular when on plan. Is she going to try it again once she releaves herself? Did she try upping the veggies, adding flax, etc? I know this is one of the hardest diets to stick to mentally so she may not be ready.

Belle - get some rest and post more this weekend. If you're too busy then we understand - just have fun with your activities! Your menu looks great too by the way.

Hey Mel and Katy!

Okay, I'm getting off now. Tomorrow's menu shall be:
B: eggs and bacon
L: grilled chicken salad
D: belle's buffalo chicken salad (finally I'm going to try this)

I'm posting for accountability.

YEAH! I'm down again! I'm almost to my previous weight, so I hope Mel won't have to change her siggy. Today, I'm going to get serious about no dairy. We'll try it for a short time and see how it works. I definitely don't think that reducing my calories is the answer, as I have stabilized my calories each time to about the 1800 mark through hunger snacking at the end of the day. I do NOT need to be hungry, so I'm going to try to keep my calories up.

Yesterday and today I had coconut oil in my breakfast drinks, so that might help out, too. It wasn't as good in my smoothie as it was in yesterday's coffee, though. I'll have to soften it next time, because I just had little tiny globes of coconut. It was kinda nice, but I like coconut.

Today, I'm going to be running around all day. I can't really predict my menu, but I'll post later.

Mom has had trouble with her bowels for years, and she had to take some laxatives. I'm glad she stopped the diet, in a way, because I know she wouldn't avoid the laxatives. It's better that she's getting nutrition. She's 5'8" and weighs 170 pounds, so it's not like she's morbidly obese. Plus, she's almost 50, so she's not really THAT big. I respect her desire to be thinner and healthier, but for the most part, it's a mental thing with her. Without getting too far off topic, I think it scared her that I am wearing 14's now, and she's wearing 12's. She can't let me catch up. (Weird, I know, but most mother/daughter relationships are pretty skewed. Mine is also screwed. But after several years of counseling, I love her and appreciate her. )

Nik - oh, okay. It makes sense about your mom. For some reason I thought you had posted that she morbidly obese so I was worried that she wasn't sticking to something. But she sounds like my mom - just a little overweight but overall healthy and beautiful. My mom is about a size 12 or 10 and complains but I think she's fine. Especially for being in her 50s and if I was her I'd just enjoy life and maintain instead of fretting over the little details. But oh well... Congrats on getting down lower today. It's amazing that you're in 14s. I'm so jealous. What size did you start at?

Well girls, I'm off to run a bunch of errands. I'll be back around later. So far I've just eaten 3 eggs scrambled with about 1/2 oz of cheese on top. They were fantastic. We're doing lunch out and I'll be getting the chicken salad and unsweet tea. Yum. I'll see you all later.

Belle-sounds like we're in the same boat! Here's hoping for rest and relaxation!

Nik-Congrats on the loss! That cheesy pizza crust sounds divine!

Have a great day, Amber! I have a love/hate relationship with errands

My menu today (tentatively):
B: 3 eggs scrambled, 2 slices bacon
L: pork ribs (on grill, no sauce) low carb cole slaw (yum)
S: normally don't snack...but maybe diet rite with cream
D: large mixed greens salad with small amount grilled chicken

Already did 45 minutes cardio at the gym, 20 minute weight routine, and 30 minutes racketball with husband.

And my newly 2 year old DD used the potty for the first time today! We are celebrating big time!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Shanidy:
Thanks! The pizza crust recipe is available on Linda Sue's website. It is really great, and I have to keep myself from eating it when it comes out of the oven because it tastes like cheesy breadsticks. One of these days, I'm going to bake extra and cut it like breadsticks with (what else) nacho cheese dipping sauce.

Amber:
Yep, we share a mom. I try to support her, but sometimes it's difficult to understand what she wants to hear from me. I started off in a size 22/24. Most of my blazers were 24, but only a few pairs of pants were. Now, some 14s are too loose. I'm having BIG body image issues, so I appreciate the congrats but still feel like a cow. Does anyone else feel like you're more critical of your body as you lose weight?

Nik - I've too thought of doing the crust as breadsticks. I thought of doing a butter, garlic, parmasan topping on it and then dipping in any type of sauce (marinara, garlic, cheese, mmmmm). I haven't done it yet though.

I think it's normal to have body issues after dropping down 10 sizes. It's such an accomplishment that you should be so proud of yourself. I can't imagine how you feel. I'm a 22/24 now. I can get in some 20s but not many. I'm done 20 pounds and feel the exact same. I think my body looks the same. I see how horrible it looks now though more than I did 20lbs ago. I'm sure I looked worse then. So I imagine that in another 20 or 30 pounds from now I'll wonder how horrible I must have looked 50 pounds ago. Maybe it's a better self realization and awareness of our bodies but also we're more critical of them because we're working so hard and focused so much on them. Plus, 10 sizes is a crazy difference in sizes and in shape and in where you can shop. It's just so much for you to take in mentally, emotionally, and physically. Hmm...so do I have suggestions? No. But...I hope you figure it out and appreciate where you are now. And hopefully when I follow in your footsteps, you'll be able to give me great advice!

Shanidy - yeah for your dd!!! Woo Hoo!! And great job with the eating and exercise!

Thanks for at least making me feel like I'm not crazy. I don't know the answers, but I can keep trying!

Yesterday's Menu:
B: coconut/chocolate/almond milk "smoothie"
S: broccoli
L: Arby's big roast beef w/o bun
D: prime rib, salad, green beans, peanuts from Texas Roadhouse

Today's Menu:
B: cocoa smoothie with 1 egg
The rest is TBD.

Hi Ladies

Wow- this board has been very slow and grumpy to me all weekend! I have not really gotten much rest but it has been a good weekend overall.

Mneu for today:
B- 1/2 Atkins bar
B2- 2 eggs, keilbasa
S- coffee w/cream, 2 thin roast beef slices with chive cream cheese, rolled up
L- egg cream (1 eggs, cream, sf vanilla and coffee)
S- iced coffe w/cream, handful of nuts
D- either grilled chicken or LC pizza recipe...hmmm....maybe the pizza recipe since you gals have been raving about it and making me drool like a baby!...
no snack because I have eaten a lot today (or atleast it feels that way!)

Nik- your not crazy...well, maybe a little bit but not totally! kidding!

Shanidy- woohoo for poopoo on the potty! I am just being crazy...you know what I mean! fabulous job on your menu and your exercise. Look forward to seeing a good loss for you this week- hopefully you will join us on Weds weigh ins.

Amber- how did your errands go? Did you catch up on any sleep?

Mel, Po, Katy, Christina.....

I will admit that my mom made these really yummy no bake cookie thingies and I tried one...they are made of melted peanut butter chips, oatmeal, raisins and I think that is it. yummy...I know soooo not legal but they are only the size of a quarter. I have about 6 left...do you think I could freeze them? I should probably throw them away but...you know...

Well, better go do something productive..hope everyone had a good weekend.

Chat with ya lata!

Did you cheat on your husband? If not, no worries! Just get up and move on, Hon... We you...don't say you are a cheater...Say "I chose to eat off plan but I am getting back on plan as soon as possible!"

I know it is a bad feeling though...try not to let it get you down. This is a journey we are on together and we will have our bumps in the road. It will be okay- you will be okay.

Now I need to say something.....

OMG OMG OMG that pizza!! I made Nancy's low carb pizza (the one tweaked for a chewy crust) and I swear I feel like I ate so much. I feel like I totally cheated...I have no idea what the carb count is but holy cow there is a lot of cheese in the recipe! I froze half and put half in the refrig. I might freeze all of it though! wooowwwweeeeee

Haha There I said it! This is why I've been MIA. I hate admitting that I slipped up... yet again! but I just got my tongue repierced and it's been difficult to eat so I only gained 2 lbs on my 4 days off plan. Back to normal tomorrow.

Ladies...be sure to get right back on plan. This would be my tough love... Please do not allow a day or a couple days throw you into a week or a month. I have done this too many times and I regret every moment of it..

I hope that if I am having issues, you will all kick me in the butt and get me back on plan!!!

Enjoy the time you had away from plan but then remember how great you feel on plan and how great you feel when the number on the scale goes down.

to you all!! And remember that we do not judge...we just want to help each other!!

My motivation to get back on plan was trying on Capris at Target and having a 18 be a little loose. i could also fit into a Jr's XXL shirt from there and not need to wear a sweater to cover my bulging areas. I didn't buy the outfit but I am getting a few new outfits right before we leave to Germany since I'll hopefully be down another size before we go.

Stinky:
I'm right back on plan tomorrow. I feel like poo. One thing I appreciate about cheating is that it helps me remember WHY I'm doing this. My day started normally, but I took my son and two nephews to Steak 'n Shake for lunch. I was tempted to eat chicken strips, but stayed on plan with a steakburger w/o bun. BUT, when the boys were in the bathroom, I noticed my nephews had not finished their shakes (and did not plan to). I felt it was absolutely a sin to leave them on the table, so I finished them. It was the equivalent of one junior milkshake, but it was terrible! Two hours later, I was eating some ice cream, almost on autopilot. We decided to take advantage of it and make it a full cheat day, so we can get back on plan in the morning.

Interesting, hubby and I were discussing infidelity. As we stood in the kitchen trying to decide what sinful carb-loaded items we would have for dinner, I said, "This is why neither of us would ever have an affair. We're not creative enough!"

I just hope this doesn't completely throw off the loss I've experienced in the past two days. I hope it somehow makes my body pop right into fat burning mode.

I bought a pair of slacks-size 12. They look kinda sausage-like when I put them on, but they fit! WOW! It won't be long now.

GB! SO great to see you! Good luck on getting below 200. I hope to join you in onederland soon! I also like your goals and rewards; I may have to use a similar strategy myself.

Stinky: I'm not too tall, only 5'4". However, I'm very solidly built; always have been. I usually weigh more than other people my size. MUCH MORE. Plus remember, I'm not a solid 12. I'm more of a "hold your breath while pulling up the zipper" twelve.

B: egg cream
L: egg cream, chilled, plus a bit of lettuce w/bleu cheese
D: philly cheese steaks, w/peppers and onions (no cheese for me)
My belly's still feeling icky from yesterday, so I haven't had much of an appetite today.

Nik- that is great you are a size 12 (or almost!)- I am 5'4" but not close to being a 12! Good job getting back on plan!

Christina- good job to you as well!

I am fighting a massive cold or it is allergies. I feel like crud. My throat hurts, head hurts, body hurts...

I just finished making lemon flax muffins and I am going to make some cream cheese muffins. That should keep me nice and stocked up for the week. I have tons of leftovers in the refrig!

I had spinach quiche and green beans for dinner. 2 sf chocolates. I might make some tea or decaf coffee to help my throat.

Where are all our other gals??!!
