okay just got done eatin' a ck caesar salad from mcdonalds. For some reason I have felt really bloated this morning. Feel like my tummy could pop- it needs to!

Kim- I would be to chicken to go to some haunted tunnel or house! That stuff creeps me out. Anytime there's conversations about ghosts- I start thinking one is watchin me

Well don't think I'm gonna make my mini goal of 3 pound by next week! Just got done eatin a chocolate chip cookie And it was gooooooooooood!

It creeps me out sometimes too, but I love that kind of stuff. I thrive on scary

DH thinks I'm nuts cause I love scary movies too, and he hates them. I like to be scared. They don't make a good scary movie anymore. I want to "jump out of my seat" watching it.

KIM!!! HOLY SNAPS!!! I'm NOT going into any HAUNTED TUNNEL!!!! OMG!!!

There is this house in a little near by community that is suppose to be HAUNTED!....Well we are big Ghost Hunters fans...We watch it every Wednesday night....Well one Saturday night, just to spook the kids, we decided to go to the Haunted House in Lehigh....Well my husband invited his Aunt & Uncle to ride with us because he knew the history of the Old house. Well we were just gonna drive by and instead my husband whipped in the drive...jumped out and ran to the front porch!! My Uncle about died!!! He said "O he doesn't want to do that!!" I wanted him to fall down or something, I would have died laughing!! Well nothing happened and we headed home...About mid night, we got a call from the police dept that my husbands barber shop had been hit by a semi truck!! My uncle swears it was because he played with the haunted house@!! He was outta business almost 4 months!!! The semi drug his building 15 feet!!!

Tommie, this was the same husband that was just holying over your house the other night? I think, point made

OK, so how many of you guys get into some of the kind of "out there" stuff that fellow LC-ers are posting about? I ask this as I am, at this very minute, oil pulling with coconut oil. I learned about it on these forums and it seems like complete nonsense, but then I figure, can it hurt?

I just bought a Callanetics DVD on ebay. I need another exercise video like...well...I don't really need one. But people on this forum RAVE about Callanetics. I can't even learn enough about it to figure out what it is...seems kind of mysterious, like the Free Masons (although they have had History channel documentaries about them)....so I figured I had to just order up and find out what this was about.

Am I nuts???

So far, ate only my bacon and eggs...2 carbs and 432 calories....wahoo. And 16 ounces of water (and a diet Pepsi....)...can do better in that department I guess.

I had a Morgan once. We raise Trakehner horses now. Well, we did. We are kind of doing a dispersal and stepping out for a while. The economy is REALLY tough on horse farmers right now. Feed (hay and everything else) has jumped a full 3-4 times in price since we started our farm up 10 years ago. I am also afraid of, because of the complications of my diabetes, not being able to take care of everyone. So if you all know of anyone who wants a nice horse, send 'em my way!

When you come up north you can see the kids. Do you ride? You can ride if we still have any of the good riding kids around. I would like to keep 3 of my mares that are good under saddle (meaning, good for me--meaning, easy rides!), and one filly that I bred.

TGIF!!!

TGIF!!!YIPPEE!!! Love those weekends...Ever notice how everyone gets in a good mood on Fridays...are we conditioned or what?

Love the spook stories...not sure what I really believe about all that, but I've know I've done the same thing with thinking I saw or heard something in the night, and then being scared, and awake, for hours. Or had the nightmare that's so real you wake up & can't get it out of your head. Makes you wonder...if there was really nothing there, would it have the big of an effect on us?

Anyway, hope everyone has a great (and peaceful, quiet) weekend. I'll be weighing in tomorrow for my Saturday roll call on my vacation challenge...I'm so very close...big hopes!)

Ing - Let me know if you like the Callenetics. I've heard people raving about it too, but I'm not really sure what exactly it is. I've gone on a couple of websites but they don't really show the exercises.

Wow, it's the weekend again... thought I would pop in and say hello. I got my walking in today! Kathy... have you walked yet?? Sorry, can't help myself, after all we are the NO EXERCISE QUEENS lol....

I actually put in a full 2 and 3/4 miles today which is hard for me. I start getting overheated (since I don't sweat) at a little over 30 minutes, then I start getting a headache, which I have right now. Downed almost 3 bottles of water while walking just trying to stay hydrated!! Now ya'll know why I HATE exercising... sooooo onefit, I can only aspire to doing 4.5 miles all at once! WTG girl!!!

Kitty, I know you're out there somewhere... miss ya! Hope you aren't working too hard.

Diana, why you staying away from us!!??

Hi Jimmy!

Oh yeah... I got a TON of ghost stories, so I totally believe there is something to it all. Tommie, every time I watch that Ghost Hunters show I get creeped out in my own house afterward! Any noise makes me jump and makes my heart race!

Hey Kim, Cathy, Jen, Ing, Brandi, Shala, Theresa... who'd I miss??! Gotta go catch up on posts again dang it!!

He's the only person I know that could drive 2 hours away..stop at an ice cream festival and forget that he left his wife and kid in the car because he found someone to talk to!!! I kept telling Mom that "DAD DOESN"T KNOW ANYONE HERE!!!" And of course he didn't!! But 2 hours later when he finally came back, our ice cream was melted!!!

Well, I did the oil pulling with a pretty little amount of oil. Like maybe a hefty teaspoon, instead of the TWO TABLESPOONS some people are talking about (way yuck!). It was OK. At least coconut oil doesn't taste gross.

I cook with CO and put it in the single egg cream I tried (ANOTHER LC-induced idea that I would think I could NEVER swallow ...haha, pun). It was gross in that because the EC was cold and the oil kind of broke into little pin-head size wax marbles. Not a good texture.

Incidentally, I DO have an egg cream on the menu today, for my late afternoon snackipoo. I sat down and made a menu last night (when Fitday had me reeling on how much I chowed yesterday) and decided squeezing a couple more eggs in was a good lower-fat way to get to protein goal without busting my 1500 calorie limit for the day. Hopefully I can deal with it the second time around. They REALLY DO taste GOOD, so it is just conquering the "raw egg" idea. But, hell, I will eat raw cake batter and cookie dough, which also has raw egg, right? That's it girl, just keep telling yourself THAT.

Hey Kathy, raining there? Sorry to drear you out, but Good, the rain dances are working! According to the hay dude, I am supposed to hope for precipitation until June 1, to ensure a healthy first hay cutting. With the cost of everything everywhere going up, the farms fertilizer prices bumped up about $500 per ton this year. That is about $80 per acre, or a dollar a hay bale! There has been a hay shortage for the last couple years because of freakish weather, so we have gone from paying $1.50 for hay in '99 to paying $5.50 yesterday morning. And it will be worse with the new higher fertilizer prices and the higher diesel costs to run the equipment to make the hay! It is CRAZY! It is hard enough to keep people fed with the prices all on the rise, but feeding animals is getting to be impossible. Just wait til we see what happens to the prices of beef and grain products after the farmers have to deal with this season's higher fertilizer/feed/fuel prices. A friend of mine who used to run Purina said it will cost $35 to eat a steak out anywhere in another year or so.

Anyway, rant for the day. The economy BLOWS!

I don't think anybody really knows what it is. Go ahead and ask that question on the thread, and you will not get a straight answer. I don't know about oil pulling either. Seems a little crazy, but if it makes your teeth whiter and your gums healthier, well....

Hey all...getting close to quittin' time for you office-types!

I have noticed the elusiveness of the Callanetics fanbase in describing what this actually IS. Best I have been able to deduce from this and other sites is you do some kind of poses, possibly requiring a barre or some similar structure, and then "pulse" certain muscles. ? We shall see.

It is raining like he** here now, too. (Grow, hay, grow)

I still didn't eke up the courage to make the durned egg cream but did put some coffee in the blender to get cold. And ate a big salad instead. And a cup of coffee and another 3 diet pepsis and no more water yet.
