May I join. I have been reading the April thread and you are so motivating. I have been doing ttapp for close to 3 years. Did Callanietics years ago and loved it. So I dug my old tapes out and started again this past month. I ordered evolution and cardio callanetics. I have done evolution 2 times. Found it hard to do but managed to get thruough it and felt great. Have done cardio callanetics once. I am not very coordinated. I hate doing cardio but love stretching exercises. I have fibro so I have to exercise regularly to keep the pain away. My goal for May is 10 hrs of either 10 in 10 or evolution.

I'm sorry. I posted this in the wrong place. Please forgive me. I really need your help.

Hey guys! I've not been posting because I'm struggling. I don't want to bring the positive feel of the thread down, but I really need to ask for help now.

I deal with some chronic physical limitations, but I have been able to do 10/10 (sometimes 1/2, sometimes the whole hour) at least twice a week.

Then, I was involved in some physical activities here getting ready for Passover and I was on my feet everyday and just exhausted. So, I didn't do Callanetics for over a week.

I am still in a flare-up and have very little energy in my muscles and still in a fair amount of pain, but I want so badly to do the Callanetics.

I only have the 10/10 DVD - no book, no Evolution, or quickie or mini workouts. No beginner workout. Would one of those be better for me?

Can ANYONE please help me with some ideas of what to do during this flare up so I won't lose what ground I've gained and so I can still do some Callanetics?

Please help?

Well I'm a big fan of Callanetics AM/PM; it's two 20 minute workouts, and just feels more relaxed than 10/10. It has most of the same exercises, but some are for fewer repetitions. I usually do AM and PM on alternate days, completing the tape twice per week. 10/10 is a bit much for me yet but AM/PM is quite manageable. Hope this helps.

If you have the energy I would say do the things on the dvd you can. Maybe instead of the 100 do 50 or 25 even 10. Just do what you can of the ones you can is my advice.

I took my measurements after the 2nd hour of 10/10, and I didn't mean to measure myself again until about after the 20th hour, but today I started the Turbo Jam 10 day kick-start, and decided to take the measurements again for the record of my 'start'. So, here goes my progress so far:

Bust -1.25'
Waist at navel -1'
Abdomen -2' (!!)
Hips -1'
Arm -.5'
Upper thigh -.5'
Lower thigh -.25'

My weight didn't change at all: I guess I'm in that 'plateau' stage right now. But it IS working! Can't wait to see the result in 10 more hours or so!

I have been lurking for a while reading the inspiring posts. I have to say you all seem like such warm and genuine people, so I am hoping you will give me an honest answer to this question:

Do the instructions in the 10/10 book make total sense to you without seeing someone doing the exercises?

I read the book twice before I tried to have a go myself, but feel like it is another language when I actually try to follow the instructions. I am sure I am doing it wrong!
My mother does about 5 Callan exercises as a hangover from when she took classes years ago and has had great results, so I am going to try to visit her soon, but I just wanted to know if you all think it is better to start with a tape/dvd or should I be able to follow the book? (i.e. the book is straight forward and I am being a dumbass.)

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give me!

Most of the exercises are the same as in 10/10 and Super just put together differently. They are great when you just want to do something quick or if you have a particularly troublesome area that needs extra work.
