Shala i have to agree with Kathy. When it gets that far you need to see a doc. I had one a few years back and it hurt so bad i thought i would die. I woke up in the night with everything below my waist hurting. Get the money from mom but go!!!!
Yes ladies i found my lost toy!! Thank you Tommie! We had a blast and i won't get out for another year i'm sure. lol My tomatoes plants are really growing. I'm so ready for fresh veggies! I could live on them. Later ladies!! Terie |

Mary....I think I'm gonna give it a try!! What do I got to loose??
Shala...you need a presript for Bactrum!! You might see if your momma got some or is you have any left from a previous infection. I will warn you that bactrum sometimes causing yeast infections though. I once had a kidney infection that I let go tooo long and it became a Urinary Tract infection which is even worse!! I ended up spending two days in the hospital!! I thought I was dying and even told them where to bury me at!!! Made my DH call my momma in the middle of the night!! And guess what it was caused from??? My freakin ROSES ROSES bubble bath from Avon!!! Which was my favorite at the time!! Quit using bubble bath after that!! Thats why dr's don't recommend sented tampons or pads or bubble baths or scented douches!!! Or colored toliet paper!!

Ing, sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I love horses, but haven't been riding in years.
Kathy, I'm pretty much eating whole grain bread right now which has less fat and calories than that recipe, so no I won't be making that bread right now. It sounded good though so I wanted to pass it on in case any of you LCers wanted to try it! Oh and I hear ya on the asparagus... that surprised me too! It took me a bit to get used to only eating that amount, but thankfully on strict LC you don't really have to watch those serving sizes!! Hey Kitty!! Let's see if I make it to that treadmill today LOL... I really need to start working on some strength training. I think I need that more than cardio really. How's your Turbo Jam coming? I looked at that after you mentioned it, but why in the world is it so expensive??? It sounds a lot like kickboxing steps, a bit lilke the Tae Bo videos. Is that right? Have missed you girl..... don't work too hard. Hope the financial stuff works out okay too. Nothing worse than money trouble... Brandi, you know we'll help ya... what I think you need to do is set some specific mini goals up until your vacation. This week x amount of exercise each day, x amount of pounds this week, etc. When you put an end goal out for months away it just seems so far away (and then of course suddenly there it is!), but when you make a bunch of smaller goals leading up to that bigger goal, it seems to help more. Just a thought. Terie, I think my tomato plants shot up too at least 6 inches after this recent rain. I'm a little worried about them and the pepper plants with these cooler temperatures moving in tonight. The tomatoes do have some blossoms on them and they don't like cool temps. Hopefully they will be okay!! I'm like you ... can't wait a couple months to harvest some fresh veggies! I have 5 different varieties of tomatoes, some eggplant, zucchini, crookneck squash, cucumbers, green beans, and red, purple and green peppers! Can't wait!!!

I don't know what the heck has caused this...I never have them, and I have honestly never even had a yeast infection...I was really scared when my back started hurting last night cuz I have heard so much stuff about Atkins being bad for your kindneys..I thought, oh great, I have lost 40 lbs, but killed my kidneys in the process!!! I dont' know if it had anything to do with it or not, but I think I am going to change up my WOE next week....still keep out the sugar, but add back in some good carbs
The only juice I can find in town is the cranberry cocktail crap...i'm drinkin it anyways! I

Hey Mary, Thanks for the tips!! Your right, little goals sound good. Right now I don't know what I want to do! Iv'e been thinking of reducing my calorie intake, portion control, like you said, not the whites, or real starchy stuff? I'm just afraid that I'll gain triple if I start adding back in. Or maybe I should stick w/LC until my trip. I'm so confused!!!! I know I gotta quit stressing
I am actually still at 143 even after cheating this weekend? Figured if I can make myself get up every morning (including weekends) to exercise I'll tone up more. I know I'm crazy!

Brandi..I am just basically sticking with low carb, no sugar thing...I think that you should eat fruit and veggies....maybe that is because we have always been told that they are good for you, but it is hard for me to belive that anything that is grown and full of vitamins and stuff could be bad??
My goal (and I have a hard time doing this, unless I am strictly atkins) is to not eat anything out of a box...no pre-packaged stuff, no sugar...eggs for breakfast, tuna with whole wheat bread and fruit for lunch....and something like low carb pizza for dinner...or chicken or maybe a Shala Burger.... Did I tell you all that I have the bestest friend ever???? THANK YOU TOMMIE!!! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!! |

Okay gals I just looked up my BMR calculation so I need at least 1427 calories for energy that I am supposed to eat, then I found out if I want to maintain my weight based on activity I would need 1962.12 calories, of course I want to loose, so I would have to exercise or reduce my calories. So, I think I'll use this in combination w/LC but still have vegies, fruits and whole grains.

I am soooo glad I have no apples in my house right now...CUZ YOU'RE MAKING ME HUNGRY FOR AN APPLE TOMMIE & BRANDIE! I swear, you ladies just start these food fantasies going in my head (between talk of coconut pies, fried pies, tootsie rolls, and Mary & Diana's recipes...lordy! Just glad my DD's not home from college yet so I can keep all TEMPTATIONS out of my house. Drooling, smacking lips, making yum-yum noises...)

Believe me, I am NO expert, but you need to find out what works for you! Know what your triggers are, and avoid them, know what makes you gain or lose and stick with that (or not)! For me, I know I am a carb addict...if I was to add in whole grains, I would be eating bread by the loaf! And a little fruit would lead to boxes of good-n-plentys! I lose best when I really have to stick to the bare minimum...Stillman's or a fat fast. K |

Brandi, Kathy is absolutely right you have to find what fits for you. My move into this new way of eating has come from lots of tweaks and tries, successes and failures with trying to do low carb. Balanced eating is what works for me, but it has come though that trial and error. Yes, there may be a risk of triggers when you re-introduce foods you have not eaten. And some foods are just gonna be triggers. So far I am doing fine, without any triggers or binges or trouble spots. That doesn't mean that it will work that same way for everyone! I'm not sure how you are doing with LCing with your weight loss, but with you being so close to vacation, you may not want to make changes in your diet. That might be something you want to wait on till after vacation!

Kathy - I know- I am a carb addict too!! Just getting discouraged b/c I've cheated and I feel like I've blown it all! I'm so upset. I know this works but little cheats I've done are making me stall and can't blame the diet, b/c I made the mistake. So back to the basics tomorrow.

Cathy, you better not TOUCH any apples!!!! You have worked way too hard and long and are too close to your vacation goal to be caving to any carbs right now. You can dream but that's it, you hear!!!

Brandi, that sounds good to me! Now, go to your control panel and put it in your signature with a date so you see it everytime you post. Like 1st goal - May 5th down 3 pounds, or something like that. And put it in a bigger font, and in color so it stands out. It will make a difference ... watch and see!

Hey every little bit helps. Maybe we can get caught up on some bills
![]() As far as I know, tomorrow morning I will be preparing returns. Then in the afternoon, they want me to be checking the returns (that were done by others in the office) for errors . I came across a few today when checking at the end of the day (and they liked that). I even caught a couple that the accountant didn't get. Anyways, keeps me busy and iit's quick Moolah. At least in the afternoon I can get near the computer. ![]() |
