jennifer, so sorry for your family's loss.

Congrats to all of you posting losses! Stacie, hang in there. I know with all that exercise you're talking about, you will be posting losses again really soon. Almost Onederland too!!

Been a busy couple days for me, but did weigh in today at 233. Love it. Another 2lbs down for a total of 73 since Jan. 3 -- 27 to go to lose my 100 and then I am going to regroup and focus on the next goal.

Went to a meeting today and sat in a seat that I used to have twist slightly sideways --so I could out of it...... today I did not actually touch either side... Talking about an Aha moment. Thank you God! Also, thanks to each and everyone of you. Missed reading and posting yesterday....

Have a great Friday and keep on keeping on!!! We are so worth it!!

tomorrow i weigh in at the Y. i have resisted weighing all week. it has been my biggest temptation. even the chocolate cake i baked with my (newly) 7 year old on monday didn't tempt me! i didn't even lick my fingers! the funny thing about that is that i had chocolate icing all over me. i certainly did look guilty, but was totally innocent!

today i walked, ate well, and worked outside! yay! I hope to do more of the outside thing tomorrow...

okay, i have a weird thing going on. does anyone else have this?? i am feeling a bit sluggish... like maybe i am not getting enough fiber or something? in the morning, when i go to the Y, my biggest fear is that i am going to get the urge to go (#2) while i am in the middle of a really good sweat and that i'll lose my machine!

i would just like to feel a little more regular. any suggestions?? or should i take this to another folder??

Room for one more ????

I'm Dee and I would really like to join... I am sooo tired of being on the rollercoaster ride of weightloss... I have tried other threads but most seem not to really push wanting to lose the weight and seem to be mostly a social club, but I have been reading and you all seem to be pretty serious about weightloss.. I am at the highest weight in my life and I really want to work hard at getting it off... You ladies here are a real inspiration to me and you make me feel that I can do it too..I will try to post as often as I can, I work a 7am to7pm shift Mon thru Thurs. and sometimes its hard but I will do my best..I have been trying to get back to exercising, I like doing Leslie Sansones 3 mile walk I do it when I can on the days that I am off and sometimes I do it if I am not too tired from work...I think I will start off with Atkins 72 as I am not a friend to frankenfoods.. I am not waiting for Monday so today will be my first really serious start day... Thanks in advance ..

Hey Peachy... we may be neighbors!! I am about 45 north of "The Peach"!!

Good for you... starting today instead of waiting till Monday... for me, Monday just never seemed to get here. I think I started on a Thursday! LOL

I was at my all time highest in January. I am now below my previous all time highest! And that is just since March.

I tried Atkins before but it was a disaster, because I was doing my sister's version of Atkins... I am now doing really low carb, so I guess it is a form of Atkins, and I am using Atkins bars (maximum 2 a day) as a meal replacement/snack. But I am enjoying lots of veggies that my anti-vegetable sister never clued me into!! Yahoo! Her idea of a salad was cottage cheese and bacon bits...

Welcome... I am new, also.

Jennifer, I am sorry about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you today.

Joy, Every once in a while I get sluggish, but overall, lo-carbing gives me lots of energy. Are you getting enough sleep and eating enough? That is the only think I can think of.

Peachy, it's nice to have you join us...welcome.

Today's menu:

Breakfast: 5 sausage links
Snack: 1/4 cucumber, sliced pepperjack cheese
Lunch: Turkey with lettuce and tomato and low-carb herb wrap
Snack: 1/4 cucumber, sliced pepperjack cheese
Dinner: Same as lunch.

I finally got all my water in yesterday, about a bottle behind today. Time to catch up.

Have a good day.

I modified my menu today. When I went home at lunch, I just had some turkey breast. I love it when I am not hungry! Do any of you have this happen while low-carbing? We just do not crave as much.

hi ladies!

Thank you for the kind thoughts. We're going to be hitting the road shortly.

ff - Congrats on the chair!

Joy - Irregularity can be a problem on l/c. Make sure you're eating at least 3 cups of vegetables a day, and don't skimp on fat. It helps to keep things moving. Magnesium supplements help, so does the one minute flax muffin. It's high-ish in carbs, but you've been on this woe long enough that one or two a week won't hurt; better than constipation.

hi everyone, and welcome to all the new comers yess come join us and lets get some weight off!!!!!!
ok if ur feelin sluggish get more protein in and eat a lil more often u shouldnt be feelin sluggish , if ur eating low carb bars they may be throwin u out of ketosis , they do for me every time, but some ppl can handle em - personally i think all natural i know its harder sometimes but it seems to work best for me , but id start at lookin at how much protein u are gettin and how often , atkins works , but I think Jennifer said it best in a previous post , look at what ur eating and how much i make protein the most important and when im doin atkins i usually only eat green veggies, occasionally tomatoes cuz i love em so much , but i watch it carefully , also make sure ur gettin good fats that can make u sluggish too , dont want to ramble on but I know i come here for food for thought and it helps me . dont get me wrong theres times i just need something sweet and ill get low carb ice cream but i always end up paying a price but then again i look at is as a better choice , this woe teaches u patience and controll which means having a bad day will most likely happen , but gettin abck on is the key . I like what u said about starting today , cuz monday usually never comes......I wish u all the best of luck we can do this also remember to post here everyday good or bad it works ......

Ok all i lost anothe r pound im so happy yeah so close to 2derville
I changed my stats uh huh i did ...Im claiming it .

I have a personal question

It’s about a friend at work I mean she is obviously depressed but I mean it’s like she turns into this person that I really don’t like. We are in corp. corp. America you know where they love to talk about the stock market etc and all that is great sometimes but she and I would just kick it really and laugh at work, she is not with my team but she sits behind me. I tried to ignore the change because she wasn’t feeling well for about 2wks but this week I had to say something. I asked what was wrong and she admitted she was depressed, I mean she has been saving money and she wants to quit she has it all planned out. But its like the job just brings out this ugly person, I mean she is like me creative, outgoing, just a go with the flow person. But I feel like as a friend she is pushing me away as well cause I work here too and I am ok with my team, I mean it took a long time to find a position and a team where I was comfortable that I could grow and that basically made me happy. I guess I have never had a friend that was so depressed like this, its just so UGLY its like a different person. I was just wandering if you woman have ever had to deal with a friend like that, I was thinking maybe I would send her flowers or something. I mean we go from talking alot every day to a simple good morning and have a goodnight. I dunno, thanks for lettin me get that off my chest. WHEW

I had a GREAT walk at the Y. I made 2 miles... I am setting a new goal. I want to walk 100 miles by my birthday AND lose 50lbs total. (June 30)

I am down 1.5 lbs. inspite of the fact that TOM arrived THIS MORNING just before I left for the Y!! Great timing, huh?

Worked out in the garden a little, but the tiller is not working and my men are gone for the weekend. Whatever gets done this weekend will be done by shovel. I have 4 raised beds and about 25 feet of garden to go! THAT will be a workout.

Tomorrow I am walking in a 5K. I am excited, even if it is a run. There are a few of us walking. I just hope I won't be the slowest walker!

I have gotten over a quart of water today... 2 qt. will be easy.

Thanks for all the feedback and help.

Hi everyone! You're looking good. Welcome Peachy.
Thanks Majickal and you go girl.. Congrats on posting another loss. Such a wonderful feeling!

Went shopping and got 3 pairs of pants, 3 shirts and 1 pair of shorts. The awesome thing is I went from a 26/28 pants and 3x top to an 18 pants (slightly snug, but an 18!!) and a 14/16 or Zero X top. I was so amazed. I still look at myself and see a fat person and just did not think about those sizes working. I just sat down and thanked God -- right there in the dressing room. When I get to a size 12 on the bottom, I am going to splurge and buy a few more clothes..... but for now, my coworkers are going to see 3 pairs of pants with different tops on a rotating basis...... woohoo!

Problem is that I am supposed to go to a semi-formal event tomorrow evening and have absolutely nothing to wear --- and refuse to buy an outfit. Thinking and hoping that new black pants, tank top (it is a 2X - so will be loose and long), --- just won't be very dressy -- maybe sprucing it up with some jewelry and makeup... May have to break down and buy some shoes too... all of my shoes are flopping off my feet except for the ones I can lace up. Might try running by Goodwill in the morning early too.... maybe, just maybe.......

---------

SlimDiva,
I have a coworker that sounds so similar to how you described your friend. Almost eerie... It's almost like I had to guage her mood every morning and steer clear the days she is 'pycho' -- One day I finally invited her to lunch and just carefully told her that I was concerned about her and boy, the dam burst. She is now on meds to help her depression and feelings like everyone was out to get her, no one cared, her life was worthless, etc. It was kinda scary, but now I am glad I let her know that I was worried about her. My only thing I wished I had done differently was had another coworker present. For a bit, I really felt very ill equipped to help her. Thankfully, just listening seemed to be the best tonic for her. Good luck with the situation.

slimdiva-ok this is territory i know well, dont want to bore u will how i got there , but i was severly depressed to and i pushed every one away and I mean everyone, after I started to take some controll back with dieting i felt a lil better, but unfortunatly i have so much stress in my life from being in such a long and abusive relationship i carry some heavey baggage. Im alot better cuz of how I eat and I am taking care of myself now I had to break down to pick myself up. With that being said my advise to u is flowers is great but a card and invitation to lunch is even better to express exactly what fancy did, sometimes knowing someone cares and is willin to reach out means so much ,You seem to be a great friend to even wanna do that, kinda cryin here makes me feel so good to know there are good ppl in this world. huge hug to u girl!!!!!!!!! AND yes im behind u every way of ur weightloss as long as u post This really does work if u let it, I find it so amazing to share in all of ur successes.....u gonna be smaller monday .....

fancy - im so jealous of u right now , dont get me wrong im happy too 4 u , but i dream about that day i can go fit into a size 18 and my goal of a size 10 ..I hope u feel proud of urself !!!1
yes dress it up with some jewelery throw ur hair up and some nice sandals and u will look hot!!!sexafied if thats a word lol.

ok someone asked this question on another thread im on and it blew me away when i looked it up the question was-how much have u lost for the month so far in april...so i looked in my calander i been charting my weight loss in- as of march 30th till today I have lost 19 pounds and i still have 5 days left so im asking all that would like to join me in a mini challenge for the next 5 days see how much we can lose , whos with me???

I looked at how far I came and i cried im down as of today 113 pounds I am so close to gettin out the 300's I want it so badly and i hope i can see it very soon - I will be workin extremely hard to get there thats for sure u all inspire me so much I will never stop thxing u and i need u all to keep me on track --------U all rock!!!!!! thx u for lettin me be apart of ur journeys

Magic - wow!! that is amazing and so inspiring! thanks for sharing your good news - it really, really does help me to keep my nose to the grindstone!!!

I haven't drank my water and I can tell a difference - I don't feel like I 've done well today, but I know that I have in the grand scheme of things! It's a journey, it's a journey, it's a journey!! I'm such an 'all or nothing' person, it's hard to get that through my head!!

Have a good weekend, girls!!

Magic, I'll do the 5 day challenge w/ you! I'm going to weigh in the morning and use that as my starting weight.

Magic, thanks so much for your comments. It is coming friend! 113 lbs is totally awesome!! I am looking forward to reaching that 100 lb mark. I am still in shock that an 18 fits my rear end. I have not been in an 18 in a long long long time.... Just talked with my Mom and shared the news. She was in shock too.

Count me in on the next 5 days. I am sticking with my start weight of 233. This will help me stay focused on making healthy choices at my semi-formal event tomorrow evening. I am looking at my start weight for April and not believing it. 259 to 233 and we're not even finished yet. I did not lose like that during induction even. 26 lbs so far for April. I think my exercising is really paying off..

May not get a chance to check back in until Sunday -- Hope you all have a splendid wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies,

It's me, the sporadic poster. Congrats to all of you who are posting losses! Congrats to all of you who are not giving up!

I would like to join in this challenge. I can commit to posting here regularly for 5 days. My weight this morning was 251.5. My weight on April 2 was 266 so that's 14.5 pounds total so far for the month.

Magic,
You are so close to the 2's, I can even smell it. I know you will do it. You have done so well. I'm on for the final 5 days of the month. Other than 2 cheat days, I have done so well the past two weeks. This morning I weighed in at 250, so pplllllllease let me be in the 240's on May day. Finally. I actually had a personal goal to lose 8 lbs in April, and it feels so good to finally hit a goal and the 30 lbs mark, and the 240's. The girls in the office at work are telling me I need new clothes. Most of my clothes are 24 or 26 pants and all 3X tops.
