I told my daughters I don't care about the whole marriage thing...just gimme them babies! It'll be just their luck to have a bunch of "Opies"! I'm a redhead, but I had all blond kids! My one DD's serious BF is a strawberry blond, so she is pretty much cursed.

Sure Was! Great minds think alike! (especially when they have the same-almost-name. That same mag had an interesting article about slowing down which kind of compared or equated rushing and bingeing..."when you rush and when you binge, you substitute cheap rushes of adrenaline and chasers of guilt for the real pleasure of living." Hey Cath! I read that article...sounded like me sometimes... I also read the Paula Deen article...I didn't realize she used to be agorophobic????

Morning Ladies!

Theresa, you are ALMOST THERE! Yeah!!!!

Shala, you are a hoot! How scary, with the lawnmower thing! I am so glad the blades were up! My uncle mowed over his foot when he was a kid (pushmower, mowing a ditch) and has only 2 1/2 toes on one foot ...always kind of creeped me out as something I WOULDN'T want to do. But I know exactly what you mean, trying to pick something up without killing the motor. I am usually trying to get the door to the shed where the lawnmower goes back open after the wind blows it shut, so I don't have to turn the mower off, open the door, and turn it on to drive 8 feet then turn it off again.

Tommie, your twins are beautiful and your daughter is a knockout! I don't know how you do all you do...Alien Slime and all!

Mary, I am so glad you had a good morning with your grandson. He sounds like such a cutie pie. And then you managed to get so much other stuff done after you left him! Your energy amazes me.

I keep wondering if I will feel more "vavoom" when I get rid of some more weight?

Then will I ever be like Kitty, jonesing for her TJ workout Sorry about your tummy . Hopefully you can avoid that issue today and give 'em hell tonight!

Diana, I am in awe of your half hour sessions on the elliptical. Wow. I hate those things! Maybe I don't do it right, I don't know. But keep it up, Lady!

Kathy, eventually you will get grandbabies, and you really can't complain if you are the one sending down the red-hair gene... They can't all be beautiful little blonde babies like Brandi's

I want to have a Jen-style party for MY birthday next time! Man, you know how to throw a party!

Kim, hang in there! We're thinking about you!

Cathy, I like watching your stats change--Very inspiring! I hope I can show something similar when I have been on this path for a few more months! I bet you will feel a lot better, hanging around Disney so much lighter!

Scale moved again -- yahoo! Though yesterday was more or less clean (I cheated by eated some almonds, and had a few too many calories...though we don't count those....), my induction willpower is fading! I think I am going to let myself off the hook tomorrow when I take off on the road. It would be nice to eat a few more veggies and some nuts.

My blood sugar is doing great...I have actually been going a couple points low so I need to reduce my long-acting insulin some more! Yeah! Wish my eyeballs would get the memo and give up on their self-destruction, though...

Have a good one, everybody, Fitgal and anyone I forgot!

Good morning! Gosh- I missed out on all your girly talks last night.
Kitty- My friend is going to nursing school and in her nutrition class the teacher said it's best to take vitamin's at night before bed time, b/c the vitamins work w/the food you eat and you may not have all the food and nutrients you need yet for the day to take vitamins in the morning or after lunch. But your right, when you don't have enough in your tummy and you take a vitamin yuck!!

Hey miss Alien Blood MOM I look foward to your stories! I live in Ohio - so I wouldn't know where a half way point would be for us all to get together!!

Shala- Hope you have fun cooking all that meat today

Diana- I loved that movie too Man in the moon!

Jen- That was a great idea you did for the spongebob theme! My kids love that cartoon. I'll have to keep the fish bowl theme in mind!!
Well the scale didn't go up or down this morning, sometimes I wonder if I am just going to be stuck at 142 I am going to try and do pilates on my lunch brake, I also brought dumbells! Well - I guess I'll get to work for a little bit - ck-in later.

Mary...here is the recipe you asked for!!!

Fried Pie Dough

5 c. all purpose flour
1 c. Crisco Or Veg Oil
1 tsp. salt
1 TBSP. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
13 oz can evaporated milk
Mix all ingredients. Let sit in refrigerator all night. Remove and roll as thin as possible. Cut dough for pies. Fill each with fruit filling. Fry in deep fat.

NOTE: I never refrigerate mine!! I just use immediately!! I don't use a rolling pin, I use tin foil and my counter top and put a little flour down to keep it from sticking to the tin foil. I work it out flat with my hands. I make a circle and put the filling on one side...fold it over, then press the edges with a fork. Sometimes I brush the inside with water before pressing the edges to get a better seal.

Good Morning my Lovelies!!!!

Well I survived the twins' first ball practice!!! Gunner...done exactly what I said...He was sooo excited he played the entire infield by himself!!! Hehehe He did make a booboo on his knee while diving for a ball!! Luckly I had bandaids ready!!...Trapper on the other hand....lets see...He ran off behind the building where I couldn't see him....He played in the grass....sat on my lap...played on the play ground....Thats pretty much it!! When I asked him if he was gonna practice, he told me he was too tired. He would just play in his backyard! Go figure!! His daddy wasn't the least bit happy with his little butt either!! I even bought them cool new gloves!!

Well girls...I'm trying to start eating legal again! Didn't do too bad yesterday...So far I've done good today. Had sausage and egg for Breakfast. I haven't weighed in weeks cause my scales DIED and Im pretty sure there is no bringing them back this time!! I don't really care if I loose, just mainly want to maintain!! So keep your fingers crossed!!

Morning ladies!!
Busy, busy, busy already!!! But I got an early start this morning so I've been at it awhile... gotta do that TON of laundry before I run out of clothes!! Thought I would pop in and see what ya'll are up to.

Shala, I was wondering how you managed to run over yourself!!! But, thank God you were not hurt too seriously!!

Kathy, I am a big Paula Deen fan also ... I mean how can you NOT love her!!! I read her book "It Ain't All About the Cooking" and it was very interesting - makes you love her even more seeing the "flaws" and realizing she is just like us!! She really opens up in that book.

Ing sounds like things are going well for you healthwise with this WOE! Oh and have a safe and fun trip tomorrow!!!

Thanks Tommie!! Do you ever do these as meat pies? Or just sweet pies? I want to try some as meat pies too. I figure they will be good for freezing since I saw some in the freezer case the other day. Your boys are such a mess.... isn't it funny how twins can be so alike yet so different at the same time?? As far as scales go, well... I will never be without a scale again in my life because when I quit weighing myself is when I let things get out of control. Course I was heavy already and adding a few pounds at a time didn't really matter to me at that time. I pretty much had just given up back then. Thank goodness I'm in a better place mentally and emotionally now! Anyway, your weight is perfect right now and you look great! Besides, you'll notice in your clothes if you put any weight on.

Well, hello to everybody else... I miss talking with ya'll so much but I've been pretty busy and I'm also trying to reduce my online time a bit because I use that to avoid other things I need to be doing. And I have a lot of things that need to be done around here!! Speaking of which.. guess I'd better get back to it!!

TTYL!

I hope your class raises tons of money Shala!

I printed out that recipe too Tommie for future reference! Ahh, your boys, how funny, you called it didn't you!!

Thanks Ing, I'm trying my darndest to keep exercising! It's sucks, but I know it's good for me!!

Hi Theresa! Got the okay from DH to check out your baskets. I'll be pm-ing you soon, okay!

Mary...I visited a church once that sold meat pies for a fundraiser. They were really good. Use to have spicy or plain. I think you could leave out the sugar in this recipe and make meat pies! I would experiment with it and if the meat ones don't taste good, make the rest of the dough into pies!! The church baked their meat pies instead of frying them. I may research this!! And I gotta get another set of scales!! Gotta hold my self accountable some way!! O Mary....guess what I got Shala for her b-day?? Well I'm not gonna tell ya because I just got it to her today, but its what you PM'd me about!! I got her one, but not me one!! I'm still gonna get me one, just not right away!

Princess Di....Your not a kidding!! Do I know my boys or what?? And that is one of the best fried pie dough's I've ever used!! I use to just roll out biscuits, but once I made home made dough, I was spoiled!!
