Jillian Michaels Shred

Has anyone done this? I have just started, completed only 4 sessions, but I already see a difference. I'm thinking about buying it when it comes off of exercise tv.

Have you seen results from it? Would you recommend it?

I watched this on Exercise TV. I thought it was pretty good and I'd recommend it.

Several of the moves/intervals she does are very similar to ones I've done in the past with my trainer.

I did my first Level 1 Shred workout today and I was really impressed. It's harder than the Biggest Loser PowerSculpt and CardioMax DVDs, but I made it through.

Finally got my dvd. Finally got to try it. It's a good workout. I am going to incorporate this with my kb class that I do 2 times a week. I need to measure and see what happens in a 30 day period.

Happing shredding everyone!

I've been doing Shred 1 for about a month now. Yesterday I moved onto Shred 2. Talk about tough, but I did it. It's weird it was so tough it was almost fun, if that makes any sense. I'm gonna swing by Walmart and pick this up.

DavesGirl, how often do you do it? I know she uses light weights so it can be done 6x/week with a day off (kinda like Slim in Six), but I don't know if that's how most people are using it.

I just did this for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. Level 1 is challenging, but not so hard to make you give up. I think she does a great job in combining certain exercises that really make you work followed by something that gives you a chance to catch your breath while still working hard. I also love that it seems to go by so quick- definitely no time to rest or take a break!

Also wanted to mention the added bonus that the DVD has an insert for a FREE FULL YEAR SUBSCRIPTION to FITNESS MAGAZINE!

I do it 3 times a week but I use 10 lb weights so pretty much stick to Mon, Wed & Fri.

I saw this dvd at Zellers earlier this week and plan on purchasing this dvd after work to day. I'm going to combine it with the Cardio Max dvd, which I've already been doing (and seeing awesome results) for the past five weeks. I'm going to do it on alternate days.

Bought it yesterday at Wal-Mart 9.99, did it today, WOW this is a verry efficient and short workout for the money, I am doing Callanetics every other day and Elleptical HIIT every other day too, I was searching for something to do cardio and weight training in same times, this is PERFECT!!

I have a question on this dvd. After Level 1 are you suppose to ADD level 2 (so now you do both level 1 and 2) or do you stop level 1 and now only do level 2?

Is it better to stay on a level and increase your weights or should you remain with lower weights but move on?

I have not purchased it yet but did watch it on FitTV. I am confused on how is the best way to use it.

Hey Everyone!

Wow, this thread has grown!

Today I'm going to do my 4th time at Level 2. let me tell you, I thought level 1 was a butt kicker, this is INTENSE! I really do feel like it firms me up. I feel much less jiggly (well, as less jiggly as someone who has 75 lbs to lose can feel).

I don't do it everyday. Like another poster, my weights are 10 lbs, so I use it 3x a week. While I've seen results, it's definitely not 20lbs. I love/hate this workout. It's not exactly the most fun, but it goes by quickly and it is really efficient. Plus i've lost inches!

I just purchased this dvd a few days and an am very impressed. I've done one workout so far, level 1. I plan to do Cardio Max one day and then Shred the next day. Jillian is awesome and I like that she shows how to do a modified simpler version of the moves in additional to the regular move.

The only question I have is, the dvd doesn't state whether or not to add levels 2 and 3 to level 1 as you progress. Do we just move to level 2 after we've conquered level 1 or do we add levels 1 and 2 together and evenatually level 3? If so I'll be dead by the time I add all three levels togther? What has everyone else been doing?

Here's what it says on the exercisetv.com site
'Her 30-Day Shred DVD includes three 20-minute circuit-training workouts that burn mega calories and build strong, lean muscle. The workouts get progressively harder so you'll keep your body challenged as you advance through workout number 1, 2 and 3.
It sounds like you move from level 1 to level 2 then to level 3 as you feel ready to do.

I've only seen it on ExerciseTV so I'm not sure.

It looks like a lot of cardio with toning. I watched a few clips of it. Lunges, squats, push ups, crunches, sit-ups, etc.
