Letting Go of Fitday

Hi Maintainers!

Well I have finally begun to wean myself off fitday.

For over a year I religiously put every bite into the program
which was really helpful during my losing phase and also
early maintenance. But then I reached a year in January
and over the course of the last few months I have gradually
been posting my foods in it less and less, and today I noticed
it's been about a week since I did. I quite honestly feel really
good about it because daily posting was starting to feel like
a chore.

I still weigh myself on Tuesdays and Fridays, so that hasn't changed.
And I noticed about 4 days ago that I was craving salads so I ate
a bunch of them for several days and increased my seafood also,
responding to what my body wanted which I think is progress and
likely to help me continue to maintain.

Thanks for listening!

Anyone else have fitday experiences?

Bella

I used it religiously for the first 4-5 months and then stopped since it got where I could very easily count everything up in my head and know if I was having too much because I was used to my woe. I think I am going to have a nice salad tonight with my steak..yummy Can't get good seafood here at a reasonable price..major bummer.

I stopped using it after about a year of maintenance. I think it can become a negative thing if you obsess over it (which I did tend to do).

Now that I'm trying to lose again I'm using a program called Diet Power. It's better than Fitday for a lot of reasons. I'm not sure how long I'll use it after I've lost the weight though. At some point I think it's good to back away from it and get your perspective back.

Good job, Bella!

I had to let it go too. Too obsessive.
