L- sliced turkey
D- grilled hamburger

I have been spending way too much time bidding on new clothes on Ebay!!
Hi Denise, thank you for the compliment! A part of me thinks that if I lose more weight, I'll look too weird. LOL, I know that sounds funny but I'm afraid of how I'll look. I think I look weird now, I'm not photogenic at all. It takes me at least 8 times to get a good pic! LOL!!!
On ebay, do you usually get what you bid on? I haven't tried that but I'm curious as to how you bid on the clothes. I bet you could get alot of cute name-brand clothes!
Let me know how you do, I may try that myself!

Hi Amber, wow, I can see how easy it would be to eat tasty foods! That's okay, you'll make it! Just take it one day at a time that's all.
We're all here for you too!!!

Diana...I don't always get what I bid on...I have my limit of what I will pay for something...and don't forget to include the shipping cost when you are making a bid because different sellers charge differently...and it can totally run the great buy into a I wish I hadn't done that!! lol
I have been buying on Ebay for years...first for daycare toys and then carnival glass antique creamers and lefton brown heirtage rose dish collection and now new to me clothes.
If I were you I would check out Ebay...they also sell mixed lots of clothes sizes and some include new clothes with tags even. By mixed lots I mean they include pants, jeans, shirts, blouses, dresses and some even include jewlery and purses to go with the outfits!! That is what I won this weekend...I can't wait to get them!! I have jeans and shirts but nothing dressy and more grown up for going anywhere...so I am excited!!
And I was checking out your stats...you have done great and I think you probably already look great in shorts and summer clothes!!

I love carnival glass! That is expensive here in the antique stores! I'll have to check that out. I also collect HomerLaughlin items as well.

I def will look at it. DH has tried to get certain items on there, such as computer boards and other electronic things.
Thanks for the tip!

I still need to lose weight on my legs and that's why I need to do the elliptical. I have used it when I first got it, and I know the results are good, but I get lazy! LOL!
I wear the plaid bermuda shorts that are out, which are fine with me.

Well I guess I'll finish my coffee and get on with the day.

I'll be back to see you and everyone else is doing after awhile.

Have a beautiful morning!!!

Thanks for the encoragement. This is a wonderful place to work, but it is a nightmare for a dieter, lol. Pies, soda, cookies, cake, candy bars, brownies, ice cream,chips,....well, you get the picture. Its hard to walk around here with all that stuff at my disposal. I look at the bright side, if I can make it in "charlie and the chocolate factory" then I can make it anywhere

HI everyone.
I have a question to those that work out
I have been working out for years. While doing this diet though now I am just starting to lose endurance while running. I need more breaks, ect. This has just started happening.
Is this common for you? I make sure I am getting quite a bit of protein and my calories never go below 1000 so.....??? Any input is appreciated as always!!

Thank you for the warm welcome! It is nice to see some familiar faces along with the new.

Day 2 for me... I fell asleep last night rereading The Doctor's Quick Inches-Off Diet book, which includes QWL, the Repetition Diets, and Stay-Slim Eating plan. So, today I will most likely read some more, clean my bedroom and bathroom, do a little T-Tapp and a little walk/jog on the treadmill, and of course eat following QWL.

What plan is everyone following? I am just contemplating going back and forth with QWL one week and Quick Inches-Off another. Has anyone done that and prefer the results over just QWL? The last time I followed Stillman's, I only did QWL.

Windy~ I noticed a difference when I was involved in a high-endurance activity for longer than a few hours. I couldn't run a marathon without carbs (like oranges and a peanut butter sandwich on wheat), but I could run a half-marathon following a low carb plan. The Quick Inches-Off Diet provides fruits, vegetables, cereals, and breads. I think there is a link on the main page. If you prefer QWL, then perhaps just a slice or two of lemon in your water will help out.

Hey Magical1!
[b]Windy[b]To put my 2 cents in about the energy I agree w/ hoops. When I was on low carb b4 I exercised 5 days a week and was very strict w/ my eating (probibaly atkins 72 type strict) and I found that vitamins and 1 night a week of either dreamfields pasta or 1 slice of natures own carb control bread kept my energy up and I could go for an hour at a time

Had a great day shopping and eating out.
Bought groceries at Aldi's , Walmart and Sams.
Had lunch at Applebee's...ordered the 1/2 size chicken ceasar salad with no croutons and no ceasar salad dressing...basically some chicken on a salad...ate the chicken, left the salad...it was quite nice!! and had a diet pepsi with it!
Went to the mall, didn't really shop too much..not enough time...but I did go into Penny's and looked at some pants...dockers...tried on the size 8...didn't fit...had to get a size 6 and they aren't even tight!! I am ecstatic!!
Getting ready to do my evening 3 miles on the treadmill...with a smile on my face!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

I stopped and got some red snapper and some more tilapia today too ,my mom cooked the snapper in a pan with the seasons and a lil lemon but i like it better on the forman grill I use the lemon pepper seasoning and ground pepper and garlic love garlic , but thats me -Seems like all the fish tastes really good on the forman grill plus its super fast and its a no brainer. The snapper is definatly more plentifull denser and very fillin , but I think i like the mahi mahi and tilapia better . Im gonna shoot for more salmon this week gonna try and get 3 servings of salmon in along with mahi mahi and tilapia ,I eat some kind of fish everyday I just feel better , but them steaks taste so good.
Im starting to plan out my week of food so I know what to shop for , this is gonna be my new plan stradegy to plan my weekly meals , not that i cant change it but at least have a plan to try and stick by . I have been reading alot up on the benefits of fish so ill share wat i learn as i learn it .....Im terrified about the skin im gonna have when i reach goal , I know thats a small problem in the huge picture but if u all have any recommendations id appreciate it ! Im trying to do all I can as I lose to minimize that problem, I know ill probably want plastic surgery to make it complete but I will never be able to afford it, but a girl can dream - Im trying to learn all I can to help me as I go so if any of u have a suggestion im willin to learn and try it. I feel so good staying in deep ketosis Im afraid to add veggies so I think ill ride it out and wait and see whats happening. do u think a sugar free jello cup will hurt me if i only have 1? or should I wait till i do an atkins day?

I'm Baaackkkk

Hello Everyone! I'm back from a few months of derailing and trying to do this diet thing on my own... Well, I've gained 11 pounds and need to stop this non-sense NOW. So, I'm back on the program. I started yesterday and as of this morning, I'm down 2.5 pounds! Yippeee!! I forgot how fast the weight falls off the first week. I've just got to get past the desire to eat things not allowed that are still in the pantry. I have tons of low carb snacks plus whole grain bread that MUST go in the trash immediately if I'm going to make it through my first 3 days on this WOE.
Glad to see so many people on this thread. It's really a great way to drop the weight quickly as long as you stick to it as strictly as possible.
I will go as long as I don't have problems with kidney pain (lower back pain) like last time. I don't think I was drinking enough water to flush all the ketosis ash out or to help my kidneys with all the extra protein I was eating.
I have to mention that my husband and I have joined a boot camp, military style workout program which we go to 6 days a week. We have to keep a daily log of all of our food intake and make sure we are getting in enough calories, carbs, proteins and fats. It's funny because I have to add extra food that I didn't eat like extra carbs just so I won't have to do push-ups in front of the whole class. They are a little nutty about not going under 60 grams of carbs a day. Some of the women in there are very large and are consuming over 100 grams of carbs a day and just can't figure out why they are not losing weight. I want to tell them so bad that it's the carbs that they are eating that is keeping the fat on their bodies. One girl is on her second round (it's 20 weeks for one round) and still hasn't lost but maybe 10 pounds. I've already told my husband that I will be doing Stillman's for a few weeks and not to give me a hard time about it. Maybe he will see what a difference it makes to cut the carbs out for a while and let the body go solo on burning fat for fuel. He's 100 pounds over weight so this could benefit us both.
Anyway, I wanted to jump in here and get going on this thread. I spent an hour last night getting caught up on all the April posts so think I'm up to date with everyone.
Hey Hoops, I love me some T-Tapp! It will whittle down the inches in no time. Do you do the 15 or the 45 minute workouts? I used to do the 45 and I was dropping dress sizes faster than I could count. It's amazing stuff. You've inspired me to pick it back up and start using it again. Although I saw someone post that they were doing Jillian's 30 Day Shred workout. I just purchased that the other day. It looks so hard, all I could do was sit on my couch and watch while these ladies were sweating up a storm. Jillian's stuff is hard! But she gets great results.
I'm going to Mexico in June so I am really trying hard to get at least 25 pounds off before we go. I think with Stillmans, boot camp and maybe the 30 Day Shred, I'll achieve that goal by then. I hope I don't spontaneously combust at some point during all this...
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I'll try to post as much as I can with what I'm eating and my workouts.
It keeps me motivated to see what others are doing too.
Ok, gotta go for tonight.
See ya'll tomorrow!!
Jenni

cskies~ I am so proud and a little envious of those size 6's!!!!

magickal~ Those jellos are allowed.

Whirlybird~ Where are you heading in Mexico? How long will you be gone? Are you staying all inclusive? I went to Cabo in March and usually go to Puerto Vallarta in August. Well, the beach wasn't packed in San Jose del Cabo, so I wore the bikini. Believe me, no jumping in that thing. You can definitely drop 25 by then. My favorite TTapp dvd is Tempo Arms, but I haven't done any for some time. So, I am starting up for a week or two of just BWO+ (15 minute version) along with some walking/jogging.
