DEB- I went thru a no loss too for awhile and all I was eating was once a day and I got so frustrated , then a friend talked me into making 3 meals a day and saving half of each meal and eating each half 2 hours later I thought it sounded crazy , but it worked as soon as I did that I started losing again it took 3 days . I always give 3 days to see how my body reacts it might work for u - My brother is a body builder and he has always ate really good and he told me to use a yogurt cup and only eat that amount every 2 hours said i was giving my stomack a work out every time id eat after he showed me it made since - like take a ballooan as an example then put a egg in it well ur stock has to work so much hard to contract but if u only eat one meal a day ur metabolizm is gonna think its in starvation mode and hold on to it .Not trying to preach just sharing some my experience .I went thru months of a stall and i tried everything to learn i needed to eat more often of the right things - I hope I helped alil .....Plz dont give up u have come way to far, and were here for u chica u can do it!!!!!

Good advice for debi ladies... when we are not seeing the results we need to keep going we tend to "overdiet" and forget the basic principles...

with stillmans food and water needs to be coming in day and night through at least four small meals the wakeup meal being the most important. If your not hungry you have to eat anyway. It is proven that you lose more on stillman's than a water fast. the water is not optional you have to have the 80 oz of pure water not sodas and lemonade etc..

to properly lose weight you need your eight hours of sleep if you get 10 on stillman's even better. your body's "recovery" time is when the good stuff happens..sometimes life doesn't let us do this and it has a huge negative effect mentally & physically

also, when you've yo yo'ed to many times your body makes the adjustment.. for any future changes to happen you have to really change it up.

I BELIEVE you can do it Debi! if you need a little break to think about it... regroup.. and come back with a plan then do it.. if you want to keep going right now you have a great bunch of people here ready to help you daily let's work together and get it done.

I was in your situation last August and was very frustrated... it took getting really mad and motivated to get it done... we each have our own path.. follow your own.. it's frustrating to see others doing well while we're stuck but somehow we carry on good things WILL happen.

Slatman,
I love your posts so much. They really keep me motivated and help keep me on track.
That is interesting about stillmans being faster than water fasting. Can you tell us more about it
Thanks

I am down to 166.2 I am so excited believe that I lost weight on vacaton but was showing water weight from my refeed meal on my last day.

I am primarily eating an egg cream shake for bk and lunch, chicken or fish for dinner. I had some delicious steamed chicken at a chinese restaurant in nycc. I bought a food steamer to try to make it at home.

Hi Everyone!
Good luck to all for a good weekend too.

Cskies,
Just a quick question-
When you say you did Stillmans for ten days-then you take one day off? then restart?
Anyone-
I am asking cuz I have been doing Stillmans for 16 days now and I was gonna keep going till I leave on vacation May 7th. I dunno if I should take some breaks in there to mix it up. I guess I am kindof scared though. But, I do feel deprived sometimes.
And when I take a break-should I take a whole day break or a meal break?? I don't want to regain the weight you see....I guess psychologically I am worried about that.

windycitygal-
You are super woman for being able to do it for 16 days. How much weght have you lost?
I am newer to stillmans so I really cant answer that. For me, life has sort of determned that I will do a refeed meal every 5 or 6 days because of social obligations . I dont want to be a recluse and seeing people as a i lose weight, it is great to get compliments from people who have not seen me for 30 lbs.

Except for one time I was lower carb salad higherfat, some cheese etc I think this has helped me stay on plan.

Thanks Sammy, but I don't know about that one. . Many people on here have been doing Stillmans for much, much longer than me
But, Kudos to you for your losses!!! Awesome!
I hear you on the social thing. I just order a grilled chicken salad and sprinkle some vinegar on it. I just want to try to stretch this until May 7th. Then I will go try the refeed thing I think.

MagicKal-yes, its hard to stay so so strict but I know it will be worth it in the endfor us!!! I cannot honestly give you my weight today becuz I learned awhile back that the scale and me were not good friends... I only weigh in once every couple of weeks or so.Well, I broke that after one week on Stillmans. I lost 8 # the first week. I just get too emotional about that darn scale!! I know, silly. Now its that TOM so I definitely don't want to weight myself. I need to get over this right??
I will weigh again next week and let you know! I can't wait to find out.
For me, my clothes are a good indicator. I can zip up pants that I couldn't even get together (if you know what I mean) two weeks ago. So, that feels good. I want to lose 30 pounds!!
Great Job to you Magickal !!!! How much total did you lose then for the two weeks ? You are doing awesome too!!!
Inspiring....all of you!

Hi windy , well i lost majority of my weight on atkins was down 100 but then i was gaining 20 and losing the same 20 every months i know sounds crazy was just on this stall from hell that i couldnt break out of then i started lurkin on this site for the longest time when i came across stillmans and i liked the peeps on here and i figured they new what they were doing and i was right ! So i started stillmans and its been 3 weeks and im down 33 pounds so thats not to bad mind u i wish i had found it before i gained back some but i toss it up as a learning experience and i kept majority of it off.I dont ever want to go back where I was it wasnt a good place for me , when i look at the big picture of things I have done quite well but it wasnt easy , all I do know is that im very happy to be losing again and not yoyoing im finally over that stall that was like handcuffs to me if that makes sence! I have to say coming here is so much motivation and I wish I wouldnt of been lurkin so long , but im not hiding no more Im going to reach goal cuz I have so many ppl here that are so helpfull and I am able to be encouraged everyday. Like you I also have a love and hate relationship with the scale but im ok with it now I klnow im in deep ketosis so im burning fat and im doing everything correct I really am in controll of my eating and the only way I am is this woe. I have big goals for myself probably to big , but Im determined to make em so we will see I also can tell in my clothes isnt that such a good feelin......again hugs to all of u ur da best keep the good work up .....

Good Morning Beautiful Ladies and Gentlman!

A big Congrats to those who have lost!!! Way to go!!!! What a big motivator for me Whoohoo!!!

And if you're like me who are still waiting, our day will come!!!! Just you wait!!

I'm so happy, I walked 2 miles this morning!!! I just got a wild hair and decided to go to the park and walk! I'm so happy and I feel good mentally for doing that. I hope I continue on, I may even go back on my elliptical now!
Thanks to all who have motivated me!!!

Denise! I wish I could send you all a little something that I've baked!

I just made some Chocolate chip meringue cookies, I would suspect they have about 1 or 2 carbs per cookie. I use granular splenda but I should have used a quick pack or liquid. Didn't think about it.
I posted it on the recipe thread along with a pic.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday and let's take this one day at a time!!!

Love Ya's !!!

Finally got up today...waiting for the coffee to get done and then do my morning 3 miles on the treadmill.
Diana...don't you just love that clear head feeling that walking gave you?!! And your cookies look unbelieveably delicious!!
Magickal...you go girl!! How exciting on the disappearing pounds!!
I can't remember who asked but when I do 10 days on stillmans and 2 days off my menu adds more atkins style food...for example...Breakfast would be scrambled eggs and bacon. lunch chicken and brocolli, supper steak and a salad with ranch dressing. I don't do a full out off the chart binge with food that I wouldn't even eat on atkins. The 2 days gives me a break of just protein. Some people don't need that break and can do stillman's until they get to the weight they want and I say power to them!! I just know I can't do it myself.
Today I have nothing much planned....might try debugging my computer it is running extremely slow and is just plain irratating!
Be Back Later!!

WOW Magickal--you are doing great! It must feel great to watch that scale go down down down. Are you exercising too?!!

Cskies, so you don't eat much fat on those days off? I think of Atkins and I think of fats -like cheese and oils.

Take care all!

Hey to all of you!
I just started on April 1, and I'm so happy to join in with you guys.
I had a question about baked chicken w/o the skin:I usually make mine with salt, pepper & ms dash salt free grilling chicken rub and toss it in the oven (Paula Deen I am not, lol). The problem is that I still find the chicken to be greasy so the ? is does the natural "juciness" of the chicken affect weight loss at all?

Browniee...I am not a cooking expert either but the natural juices from the chicken shouldn't affect your weight loss..but that is only my opinion...maybe someone else would know the answer for you!
I like to bake/roast my chicken too...I do the forman grill for a quick fix though!!

The forman grill is a life saver for me...I use it for bacon when I am eating atkins and I also grill veggies like zuchinni on it....I love to use it my hamburgers and steaks too!
I just started eating some fish ...a great suggestion for magickal and I do it on the forman too!
