Are you a Purist, a Dilletante, or a Hedonist?
I would say I fall somewhere between dilletante and hedonist. I don't eat the junk carbs, but I DO love my dairy products.
![]() How do you spend your carb allowance? And where do you fall on the spectrum? |

Mostly Dilettante, because of the cost I can't always buy natural meats and organic fruits and vegetables, but I do include them when I can. I spend my carb allowance on veggies, cream, eggs, berries (l love berries) and nuts.
Honestly, I had to go back and look in my book to answer this question. Funny thing, when I picked it up I couldn't put it down again. PPLP is such a great book. |

It is a great book! We are hit or miss on organic/natural foods, but we live rurally and do have some interesting choices (a lot of Amish in our area - raw dairy and natural meats abound, but need to buy in bulk).
And I see I misspelled dilettante. Gah! I can't fix it either. |

2nd post...lol..
I am a dillitante with meat and dairy but a purist approach with the grains and starches....just cant tolerate them they make me bloat and feel terrible...fruit is something I am not much into either...just never have been....I am more of a meat dairy and fat chic with deep green leafy veggies....anybody eat pork rinds?...I find they do the trick when I need something crunchy...

Hi everyone, I've been looking at PP very seriously and am giving it a go for awhile.
Can some of you let me know what supplements you are taking? Do you try to follow what the Eades suggest? I know I went to Whole Foods last night to do some supplement shopping and found it would be quite an expensive undertaking to keep up with all their recommendations. Thanks, Ann |
