I feel good too, nothing to complain about over here!!! Scale hasn't moved either way. As long as it's not going up,that's okay!
I'm feeling like another cup of coffee myself, think I'll go brew some more.

I'll check back with ya later!! Enjoy your coffee too and your exercise!!
Morning Diana - Haven't weighed today, but think I might skip it after my 3 beers last night! Plus, I had a sweet tooth when I got home and had a couple pieces of sf candy... Have a great day! I will be in a meeting most of the day...

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and relatively new to low carbing but definitely not new to the yo-yo diet lifestyle. I am done with fad-dieting and ready to make healthy lifestyle changes. I have read a lot about stillmans and I think it will work well for me to break my weight loss plateau I have been on for a month now. I started this morning and so far so good. I just wanted to say you all seem like an exceptional group of people and I hope you have room for one more. I could use all the support I can get.

Thanks,

-Jena

Perfect! Make the meals refeeds and not cheats... and make sure you eat something that will not send you off on a 24 hour binge..

some folks don't like refeeds since you can gain 3+ lbs overnight.. but you really didn't it's just water weight which goes away within 72 hours... clear that glycogen out with some exercise and you shouldn't gain anything after a refeed.

Keeping your metabolism high with refeeds will result in greater weight loss in the long run.. you will not feel so restricted which means you can stay on plan longer... and transition easier into a permanent healthier woe

Increased activity = increased metabolism = more muscle = higher base calorie burning = weight loss =

Hi all!
Here is my Stillman 14 day menu for today.
Weight has stayed the same for a week now
139.9

B- 2 Lean Ham slices with 2 eggs
L-BBQ Ribs (Stillman recipe) with 1/2 cup Salad w/ no dressing
S-Hamburger on Rev Roll with Ricotta Cheese on Hamburger(Stillman recipe)

Already got my 4 mile walk in today in a hour on my treadmill with a incline of 6 for half of it.

I have been doing Stillmans for 3 days now again and I am just in the moderate range for Ketosis..is this normal after being on Induction for 2 weeks before?

Thanks for the warm welcome ya'll. I have a question if anyone has a sec to answer it. I know it seems early since I just started LC today but I've already got the whole head-achy sluggish thing going on and I was wondering how long I could expect that to last.
Also, I have big plans Sat. night with some friends in from out of town and I was wondering how far off it will put me if I have a couple of sugar-free alcoholic drinks. Any input is appreciated!

Thanks

-Jena

I do drink around 100 oz of water a day. I tested when I got up this morning and still on Moderate...I dont know what to do different to get it in the dark...I walk 45 min to 1 hour a day 5 times per week. Oh..and I ate a small piece of LC Cheesecake yesterday..will that knock my Ketosis down lower?

My menu has changed today some..I was not hungry at lunch so I skipped that and will have a Stillmans Hamburger with Ricotta Cheese on Rev Roll for supper.

Thanks and HUGS

Hi Stillmanites,
I am back from my travels for a long time. I went to nyc and spent the last 3 days walking more than I think I have ever walked.
I had a refeed meal yesterday. With that in mind and weighing after I got off the plane this afternoon I was only up 2 lbs since I left... SO I am thinking I probably lost once all of the glyccogen is cleared out of my system again. I am going to weigh a week from this frday to know for sure.

Christina - I dont weigh everyday because it drove me crazy not to see immeadidate results like some people get. Now if I weigh and hit a new low it is great and I can wait another week or so to jump back on the scale.

Hi
I am new and am hoping that I can join this group if its not too late. I started lowcarbing over 2wks ago and am losing weight. I have read about stillman on other website and wanted to do this plan for a few weeks, I am going to start tomorrow. I need to finally lose this weight and find a better way of eating.

Welcome LadyPearl...jump in at anytime!!

Got my first cup of coffee and ready to hit the treadmill. Raining outside so I am happy to do my walking inside!!

Scale said 143!! That being said... that is probably the most important pound I have lost...that means I have lost 100 pounds since August 26, 2007!! ...I've lost weight before on atkins about 5 years ago but didn't keep it off. So this is a flag waving day for me!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Cskies!!! 100 pounds...congratulations. I thought your before weight was 186...wow!! In 9 months is amazing. You must be so proud of yourself. You have to celebrate...get a massage, pedicure, something.
How long have you done daycare..I ran a home daycare for years. I loved it...I was so attached to my kids.
How many cups of coffee do you drink in day? I have been really craving coffee lately and I am not usually a big coffee drinker. I has half and half and 1 packet of splenda...do you think this is alright?
Once again..congrats!!
I am down to 136. I leave for my vacation tomorrow and my goal was 135 so I might make it by tomorrow...I feel great though. I always feel so much better when I do stillmans. Except when I run, I think I need carbs for energy but I always think if I dont eat any carbs before my run my body will be burning fat for energy. And that is always a good thing.
Just want to say Hi to everyone else....I dont always post but I am always reading....

Hi Jessie..I started atkins in late August 2007 at 243...I decided to try stillmans on New Year's Day and that was my 186 weight!!
I drink 4 to 6 cups of coffee a day...I just add a packet of equal to mine...I don't think the half and half would hurt you at all!
I have done daycare since my youngest was 1 and she just turned 24..got divorced that year and had a 1 yr old, 3 yr old and 4 yr old of my own and wanted to take care of them....so that is 23 years ....I have a degree in Christian Education but never taught in school and at this point in my life I don't care to...I enjoy what I do!
Got 2 miles done this morning unless I pump it up in the next 30 minutes!! lol

Great job on your weight loss Jessie...and enjoy your vacation!! How Fun!!
