<<<stupid--- I weighed-in this am ....up 2 pounds after eating the apple...makes absolutely NO sense!! Tom should be almost done so that isnt it....drank more water yesterday than normal...
thanks for the well wishes for my brother....he has Mental retardation among other problems, even more problems as hes getting older (42 now)..my dad passed away 9 months ago and now Mom is feeling the stress of taking care of him more than ever ![]() UPDATE lol I had a BM and im back to 232 (same weight) guess I weighed too early(no april fools trick)

Morning all.
Off to have coffee with one of my son's friends mom. I hate to make friends just to say good-bye but we really hit it off in the gripping part of life. So no gym today as the oven stopped working Sunday morning. Made doughnuts instead of biscuits. No, I had none. I really do not like sweet stuff so that worked out. Repair man is coming between 1 and 5. Have to stay here. What a waist of a day. ![]() Well, check in after coffee!! Happy April FOOLS day!! ![]() |

OK, I am doing Stillman with some modification, meaning I have bacon which I grill to death and I'm starting the flax muffin to help things move because I am terribly backed up. I might also have veggies with my other meals.

Good Morning Everyone,
WEll I ran 3 miles today without stopping and it felt great!!! Yesterday I did not feel like eating at all. I only had 2 turkey sausages and few bites of ground beef. I am not hungry today either. I am going to force myself to eat more today. I think with the stillmans the options of what we can eat are so limited. Nothing really sounds good to me so I just dont eat. But I do not want to screw up my metabolism. Debi....I cant believe 1 apple would make you gain 2 pounds. It makes no sense to me ... An apple is only 90 calories. That is why I am always soooo confused about dieting.... 3500 equals 1 pound..you have to eat 3500 calories extra to gain one pound. There is no way you ate an extra 7000 calories. So the only way to explain it is water weight. I know any gain on the scale is sooo discouraging but I am sure it will be gone tomorrow and it might take some more with it. This is why I am scared about hitting goal and trying to figure out what the heck to eat. Oh well, guess I will have to wait and see what happens... Sorry for the long post. Antigone---I was "backed up" also.....I just updated my post above....LOL I just took care of those 2 pounds I thought I gained and gave them to the TOILET!! lol--
I also dont do 100% Stillmans...I add in some fat free yogurt, and some low fat mozz cheese.. cskies....when my dad passed last June, my mother and I went for joint legal guardianship of my brother...I have 2 other younger brothers, that we wouldnt count on to take care of him, if needed..Plus my mom feels alittle better having me at the doctor appointments with her, since I have "some" medical background...PLus im the TAXI Driver she doesnt drive! ok I better get ready... Have a good April Fools Day!! |

Hi Antigone.
Actually Lean Bacon is on the Stillman plan as well as veggies-the Stillman 14 day plan. So your okay there! Thats what I do as well. I get plugged up with no fiber and I hate that feeling. Besides, I don't see how eating some green veggies would interfere with weight loss, ya know? Good luck!! Its good to get started on the 1st day of the month -psychologically speaking! ![]() |

Hello Stillmanites,
I have been reading your challenge for the last month looking for inspiraton. I had a hard time getting past 172. I did stillmans for since saturday and today am 170.2. I would like to join you for April. My goal would to be in the lower 160's or dare I say 150's. Today I had 2 turkey meatballs Lunch - traveling with work so mystery Dinner - scrambled eggs. Glad to have you here!!To tell the truth I did not start the month out good...didn't weigh this morning and I didn't even want to come and post...just wasn't feeling like it...but it wasn't nothing that 2 midols and some coffee didn't fix for me!! ![]() I will not be doing stillman's exactly today as I have 2 deviled eggs left and they have mayo in them and I do plan to eat them at some point today!! That is my confession of the day!! lol No April Fooling here!! ![]() |

Happy April everyone!!!
I am 162 this morning. I am so excited about this month. My parents have been in Florida all winter and will be home in two weeks. I told my daddy that when he got home his girl would be skinny. Well I am not there yet, but I have lost 20 lbs since they seen me last. I would love to lose at least 5 more pounds before they get home. Does anyone on here do line dancing? My aerobics instructor has a group that travels and she ASKED me to join them. I am excited and don't have a clue how to do it. She said she was so impressed with my weight loss dedication and the way I keep up that she wants me to join her group. Sorry, I guess I am bragging but it is exciting to me to not be so fat anymore. I still have a few pounds to go on that stupid BMI scale to get down to the over weight mark. But hey, I plan on not being obese by the end of April. Keep up the good work everyone!!! I'm so proud of all of you... |

P.S. someone was asking about gu gels etc..
you can get them at any sports store.. power bar also makes a gel as well as one called carb boom etc... I always have a couple on hand when out exercising... you know when you need one ![]() I actually prefer gu blocks they are the consistency of the old candy "dots" and they melt slowly in your mouth I can make one packet last an hour .. P.S.S. my dad is still not doing any better.. any thoughts / prayers are appreciated... the bishop called him last night and he was hallucinating a bit talking about slicing some leg of lamb etc.. and some car driving down the hospital hallway.... now I know why I don't do drugs ![]() |

I will be praying for your father....hang in there. I was in ketosis when I ran 3 miles...I felt really good for some reason. So when I do my race do you think I should take the gu gel right before, or during? I am hoping it will give me energy to increase my time a little. TIA Jessie |

Jus' wanted to say Hello to everyone. I'm Darla...I'm new....I'm headed to work....so I don't have much time. I've always done the LowCarb diet....it seems to work for me....jus' have a hard time stayin' on it....esp. when I start to get headaches. Any advice to help stop them??
