Hey Rena,

I really kept my menu close to induction until I had lost 60 lbs, then lost another 15-18 doing the ladder. I find that when I keep my menu really simple I maintain. I can't eat alot of carby things in general- for instance if I eat mostly protein and veggies, a little fruit,
almonds, cottage cheese, Greek Yogurt, salads with small amounts of oatmeal or ezekial bread a couple times weekly then I am good. But if I start eating too much of those ongoing, or eat Atkins bars, Starbucks cappuchinos (10 grams!) then I will slowly add pounds.

What kind of menu do you have?

Bella I have quit eating cottage cheese and stopped taking a little ice cream as I prepared DH's dish. Just those two things have helped me not to go over 122. It is taking time but that is ok. I need to really watch those little extras. Do you exercise?

Monday's lf & lc menu
  • 1/2 decaf black coffee, 4 cups all day
    Brunch: 1 slice of flax meal bread w SB light
    12:30: strawberries w splenda
    4:00: left over fish
    6:00: pork roast
    mock mashed pot
    green beans
    2 cups mixed greens, fresh veggies, bacon bits, 2 T ranch drsg
    6 oz wine
    Snack: lc tortilla half w lf mozzarella cheese, grilled in CO, CF diet soda
60 oz water walk 3.12 miles. Exercise workout upper and lower body using 2 lb hand weights, 30 min.

Saturday's lf & lc menu
  • 1/2 decaf black coffee, 4 cups all day
    Brunch: rf ricotta cheese pancake w sf syrup
    12:30: strawberries w splenda
    4:00: left over fish
    6:00: grilled hamburger patty
    onions & mushrooms sauteed in CO
    green beans
    2 cups mixed greens, fresh veggies, bacon bits, 2 T V&O drsg
    6 oz wine
    Snack: 40% less fat bacon, few soy nuts, CF diet soda
50 oz water
Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min.

Have to cut out my walking for now. Dh's cancer is deteriorating and I will not be able to leave him for my daily walk. Wonder if I need to scale back my portions? We will see. I might ride my stationary bike.

All.. still here and eating - well at least I am again after this really NASTY stomach flu last week - sheesh!!!!

Way to busy - and browsing catching up....

Loretta.... my toughts and prayers are with you and your DH through this tough time - I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through

Start Date: restarted 6/22/07. In a size 6 jeans now!

B - leftover taco beef DH madelast night wrapped in 2 of Sherrie's tortillas w/lettuce, 1 slice of cheese split in half, and sour cream. iced tea w/liquid stevia

S - 1 thin slice lc banana bread with Smart Balance Light butter, more tea

L - shrimp cocktail, more tea

D - Beef Tenderloin with 2 Sauces: Horseradish Sauce and Creole Mustard Dressing by Emeril Lagasse w/a couple minor tweaks to make it LC & Cauli with motz cheese. Iced tea w/liquid stevia, vitamins.

Dessert - I had 2 of LS's 3 min choc cakes version 2. It was DELISH! I didn't put any sweetner just added 2 extra Tbs of the vanilla DaVincini syrup.
