Oh Nik, would it be a boy or girl for you? Now I'm curious....
And you can be plenty excited, I just don't want too much excitment toward me since it really still could be nothing. I'm trying to not be too disappointed if I have to start another cycle of trying, y'know? |

OMG - I think I might be pregnant. I'm still not sure - it's still really, really faint. Almost hard to see but it came up on the FRER test within 1 minute and DH could see it too. OMG. I'm still not sure since my temps are low and it's so faint but we're going to test again with FMU tomorrow. I'm never had an evap. line EVER and the first could have been but this one was w/in 1 minute so it's way less likely.
Okay, so I'm freaked out and trying to remain calm and normal since who knows still...right?? We're supposed to go to a party and I already had the tequila out and ready to mix up margaritas and now I get the fun of making up a story about being sick or something and volunteering to be the DD, which I'll gladly do. I'll update you girls first thing tomorrow or beforehand if AF arrives. Please say a prayer for me.

OMG Amber!!!!! I am so excited for you! My BFP was also faint but it showed up right away! Keep us posted and sending you sticky dust!!!!! Oh, and saying you are on a medicine that doesn't mix with alcohol works really well in social situations.
Edited to ask if you can post a pic of the test for us! |

Katy:
Good idea: I want to see the POSITIVE pregnancy test. Amber, too bad, I'm REALLY EXCITED! Two evaporation lines in a row, no way! This is definitely a little, faint positive. Maybe not a big fat positive yet, but I am so sure it will be. ![]() Have fun being a liar at your party tonight. I'm guessing you're going to have a huge Cheshire grin on your face the ENTIRE time, because you have a little secret! The Chinese say I would have a boy. Look yours up, please, and let us know... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Amber, I didn't test the same day I did'nt believe I had any reason to.
The first tests were some no-names from big lots around $2. I think those work best when you're like a week pregnant. I had a faint line, but didn't pay it attention b/c it was so faint. Be calm try try try to focus on other things if it is at all humanly possible. I'm going to be praying for all those waiting tonight. Nik, how are you feeling btw? |

Katy, btw, an absolutely beautiful sleeping prince
Growing up in the rural south has had it's advantages while this water crisis is under way. I was going to suggest a hotel stay until Monday, but for a weekend, that's money we could use for other things. My long-term memory of frozen or stuck water pipes and what my mom and grandma and later myself as a teen did to improvise surely paid off. Good thing we use deer park water and have two empty jugs in the house. When we move, I must look into having an old-fashioned water pump near my garden like the olden days. It's funny b/c I had no idea how I was suppose to live in this house without water. This truly was a humbling time for us. It makes no sense why this even happened but I'll remember this weekend when my grandkids come over.

Dessa:
Thanks for asking how I'm feeling. Better. OK. Good enough! I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but sometime's it's tough, ya know? It's been a weird emotional week for me. Spring break is over tomorrow, and I'm feeling like I didn't get enough accomplished... ![]() Just now having some sharp and strange lower pelvic/cervical pains. It could go either way. I'm still kinda hoping for a BFP this month. How cool would it be to have two sisters with the same due date!? |

Morning girls. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I've been laying in bed just wondering and waiting to test. I just did and it's still a barely visible line. Almost more faint then yesterday, if possible. I looked at fertility friend's website at the pictures of other faint lines and there are girls there with lines as faint as mine of the same brand of test all the way up to 16dpo, so I'm thinking I'm going to just buy a digital today. I'm 14dpo so I would think it would be a big fat positive, if it was going to be one. I'm still so excited and nervous. I wonder if the grocery store is already open???
![]() I'll post a picture if you girls tell me how to put a pic in the text. While I wait for someone to wake up and tell me, I'll go and take the pic and load it on my computer so I'm ready.... Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts and kind words. I promise to post any updates as soon as they come. I'm really hoping this is a true BFP and that everything works out. Nik - I can't believe how far past O you are now. ![]() |

okay, can you girls see that line? I promise my digital camera is really good - I just took the picture and changed it to red/pink tones to make the faint line more noticeable. This was my test from yesterday afternoon (13dpo).

Amber:
If I were you, I'd spend $15 on a cute preemie sized layette outfit* instead of a digital pregnancy test! It will keep getting darker day after day. You can test in a day or two if you MUST see that confirmation, but I'd go ahead and schedule the doctor's appointment to confirm. Even if you use a digital test, you still need a confirmation from the doctor. But even then, the doctors use tests that are similar to the FRER that you're using. I KNOW about being so many DPO! I sat in the bathroom this morning staring at my two unused tests. It took lots of willpower to say, "Not today... give it time." BTW, so much for saving you money on tests! You ended up using a bunch anyway! ![]() *My two friends who had babies are using newborn/small clothes. Even though the babies are normal-sized, the clothes are HUGE! I will buy a few preemie outfits so that the kid has something to wear right away. |

Amber, my first one was kinda like that, that's why i ignored it. One or two days later, I bought the ANSWER pregnancy test, and it zoomed to a BFP. I took the cheaper test the next day and it came up stronger. It was a matter of a day or two that made the difference in the line for me. How long did it take for that faint line to show?
If you can wait a couple of days to be absolutely sure and wait until the line should definitely be not at all questionable. It appears to be a very good sign. Nik, if you're having a spontaneous, sharp, kinda intense pain that seems to be right above the cervix, you may want to test again in a day or so. My sister had that pain in her pregnancy and also me in my first pregnancy, and it was implantation pain, the little one trying to find a nice cozy place to call home for the next 9 months. Whatever the results, think of this is all good news that your bodies are responding and getting steps closer to your dreams. You guys have really been doing well with your LC, and that helps more than you know. I can't stress enough, keep praying and believing and it will come to pass for each and every one of you here. I'm so excited and I'll keep checking in. I wasn't feeling well enough for the long ride to church this morning, and DH didn't want me home alone, my stepson is also here, so we're all camped downstairs on the couch. |

AMBER~ That is such a BFP!!!!! Congrats girl! Don't go too nuts taking tests though, it will be better to just go do the blood tests to make sure your betas are doubling (if your dr. does that, mine didn't). I am so happy for you!
![]() Nikie~Still sending baby dust your way too! It's not over until AF shows! Stay positive, which I know you will because you are an awesome person! |

Okay, I swear I'm trying to take all your advice! Thank you everyone for being so supportive!
Katy - First, I love the new picture of Tuker. He is so precious. Second, thank you for the reassurance and congratulations. I really appreciate it. Nik - I can't believe you didn't pee on the stick this morning. I'm absolutely amazed at your discipline. But regarding the POAS problem, I really think you did help me. I doubt I would have seen anything if I tested earlier than Saturday so it saved me at least a test or two. Dessa - both of my faint lines appeared within 2 minutes. Amm - thank you for reassuring that I'm not going crazy! Okay, so I can't call the doctor since everything is closed but I'm going to do that tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment to confirm. If they can't get me in right away, then I may still go buy one more test - a digital - just to get something more clear. I'll let you all know. ![]() |

I'm giggling at this internal struggle you have. Not because I think you're insane, but because you're so cute, and just like I would be if I were in your shoes. It's awesome, and you're pregnant! I just keep coming back to see when you finally admit it... It's so exciting! I hope you'll stick around for awhile so you can cheer the rest of us on. WE LOVE YOU! CONGRATULATIONS! ![]() |

Ha Ha Amber, that was me, running to the restroom, wearing pantiliners, saying "ok already!", at that point it didn't matter, whether AF or BFP, I wanted to know and get it over with. It felt like it was always coming anyway, which is such a mean trick.

Okay girls, I admit it finally, I'm pregnant.
I took the digital this morning with FMU and it popped up pregnant and we can finally believe the results! I'm going to call my doctor this afternoon and schedule an appointment. In case this is helpful to any of you, I really think the OPKs were great. It was the first cycle using them and we got pregnant, so I have to give partial credit to them. We BD'd every 2 days before O (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - O'd on Sunday). The OPKs never got as dark as the control line for me, but they were 1/2 way there and on the other days, the OPKs never gave me a second line. So I just assumed that the line meant I would O soon and went from there. I never had EWCM this month (some months I have a lot of it and some months I have none). My temps went up but not by a huge amount and never had a second shift or implantation dip or anything. They remained fairly flat post-O and fairly low (only 1/2 degree on average higher than pre-O temps). I thought this meant I was out since my previous cycles my temps would keep climbing through my entire post-O until they dramatically dropped for AF. These never got as high as previous temps. So I'd recommend you follow Nik's advice and not temp during this part of the cycle since it obviously doesn't really matter what happens with the temps so long as you've confirmed O and they are above the coverline. Now with symptoms, I'm also crampy, sore boobs, and irritable right after O. I had the same symptoms except this time my boobs hurt on and off on the sides and nipples and I think my nipples are already slightly darker around the edges. I also had some slight brown spotting (barely noticeable) around 9dpo-11dpo and I never ever spot before AF. I think that's it. So anyway, I'm going to stick around and cheer you all on. I can't cross to the other side yet. I feel at home here. Nik - any news? ![]() |

Yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you and DH!
Boob pain kinda subsided for me after the first trimester. Poor DH.. I don't go to the other side much, but go there and sign yourself in once your due date is established. I guess you're looking at around or after Christmas time. Awwww.... I feel a baby boom coming on..... |

Where's everyone? Working I guess. Just wanted to say, yay
my water's back on. My DH still had to scramble today and resend all the documents that we were the occupants of the house b/c they didn't get the fax, although he had the confirmation, blah blah, anyway it took about 30 seconds for them to cut it back on. We still don't know why on earth it it even happened.Anyway a young lady from my job returned from maternity leave today. She was super mean during her pregnancy, and i didn't take well to her, but we talked for a long time, so I see that hormones can really turn you into a different person. |

No news...good news? I'm waiting a few more days to test again so that the BFP will be big and bold! I don't know how much longer I can stand it!
Congrats for real this time, Amber! So good for you. If this isn't the cycle for me, I may consider the OPK. |
