Welcome Rachel!! I'm Brittney

You will def find the help you need here! you should join us in the daily thread. It is where we post our menus and just stuff about our day. We all like to help each other out. I'm glad you decided to join us. Anyway my first question is what kind of sausage are you eating???? Everything else looks good. Congrats on your weight loss so far, but unfortunately after you leave phase 1 your weight loss should slow to a steady 1-2 pounds per week. which is really good. this way you can keep the way off, as much as we would like for it to come off really fast like phase 1, it is not healthy to lose so fast so it is important that after a while you move into phase 2. We will guide you through this . You can do it just stay strong!! Welcome again!

Brittney

to the Beach Rachel!

Congratulations on losing 9 pounds! That is an excellent first week! You should expect the numbers to go down, as the first week of Phase 1 is when you will often lose water weight.

I have been on plan for 8 months and have lost 43 pounds so far. My loss was quickest during the first month and since then I have averaged losing about 1-2 pounds a week. Remember that South Beach is a lifestyle change and as Brittney pointed out, it is actually better to lose slowly as you are more apt to keep it off long term.

Please check-in with us at the Weekly thread for daily accountability and support!

Forget to add, your menu looks good. I think one of the biggest reasons I have been successful on SB is the 6 small meals. That way, your metabolism is constantly moving and you do not put your body into starvation mode. As a former binge eater, this was especially helpful for me! Part-skim mozzarella string cheese is one of my favorites too.

Rachel!

Slow and steady wins the race! P2 is where you will experience your greatest - though slowest - and most healthy weight loss... Remember, it took awhile to put the weight on and it may take a while to take it off.

Congrats on the 9 lbs so far! What an awesome motivation! Way to go!

Hope you join us in the daily thread...
