Jezzie, I spent too many years sitting on my bottom while in a carb fog and between the over abundance of carbs and food along with no workouts, I gained way too much weight. Now I'm paying the price for that. I have the workouts down pretty good and I do pretty good with the food now but I'm not losing much so that's one of the things I will discuss at my dr. appt. this morning. I think if we can find out what's wrong with my knee and fix it, I can get back to walking again and that will help!

Today I'll be doing weights and kettlebells along with the new IMT workout that was in the link I posted. I'm not too sore from doing it yesterday so I want to keep it up. It only takes a short amount of time and it's a good warm up if nothing else!

Doris, we do have potties here in Ky. Even at the dump stations, they have a port a potty. Don't drink too much liquid.

Linda you sure are going to have some definition in your muscles. 10 # , YIKES.

Actually Jezzie we need a professional but I will try to give it a temporary fix. Hate asking relatives and it is a small job to call anybody in. My poor DS, I keep asking his advice.

Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min. Biking an hour at least.
Finishing up bathroom today.

Hi Everyone! The dr. appt. went well. Had to have x-rays of the knee and now have to wait to hear the results of that. I also had a few other things to take care of. And I have to have one more test next week. So I'm sure they will wait till all the different test results come back before we move forward. But I'm happy that it went well and the PA was great! I've seen her before but for some reason today she was extra great!

Today's workout is weights, crunches, kettlebells and the new IMT workout. DH is coming home tonight so I'm a happy camper! DS is going with me to the airport because it's a late flight and I don't want to be in the parking ramp alone!

The Chi-Gong Workout

What it's all about: It's based on a 2000-year-old series of
movements and breathing designed to calm the spirit and the mind.

It has also been shown to strengthen the immune system, reduce
stress, and improve balance and posture (all important as you
get older).

When YOU do it: Start by doing this workout 2 or 3 days a week,
and then keep adding a day until it's part of your daily routine.

Why it works: Chi-gong taps into your energy fields -- those
intangible life forces inside you that have a profound impact on
both your health and the way you feel.

Also, it teaches you how
to breathe from the tan tien -- a point 2 inches below the navel.
This deep belly breathing suggests calmness and awareness.

Jezzie, I have a Chi Gong dvd that I haven't had time to try yet. I want to wait till my knee gets fixed, I think.

DH is home safe and sound without his main luggage! When they find it they well deliver it to us!

I'm going to do some time on the bike today along with that IMT workout from the link I posted the other day. That's really quite a workout with the ball and wrist weights!

Linda sure hope you can get your knee problem cared for. It sure does not keep you from your exercise program. Glad to hear that your DH got home safely.

Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min
Bike an hour.
