Oh yeah I wanted to let everyone know that I made Deep Dish Pizza Quiche and it was awesome. It was the best pizza alternative to date. I made it with cheddar cheese on the bottom. I also used a 9x13 glass casserole dish. I topped with mozzerella pepperoni and sausage. Figured around 3.5 grams per slice. Which there were six good sized slices. Oldest son said it tasted like the real deal and I have to agree.

Hmm that pizza sounds pretty good. I myself made some LC chicken alfreado tonight. Not to bad. Only 14 carbs in the whole thing so not to bad. That big loss of last week I think was mainly due to dehydration. I weighed today and Im back up to where I was before that little fiasco. Grrrr, back to thy it seems.
And I have a question for you guys. What are some other uses for blue cheese you've found? I love this stuff now that I've tried it, but as of yet I only use it on salads and on my wings. Any other ideas? Last edited by CTIgrad : 03-28-2008 at 01:14 AM. |

Morning fellas. I had one bad meal on Tuesday and the scale seems to be stuck, even though I have been eating well and exercising. I hope to drop a few pounds over the weekend. Keep up the hard work.

Good morning guys
Ed, you been going great, keep it up. I think I am finally getting my act back together, at least for the last 2-3 days. Still fighting temptation to eat too much but it does get easier over time. Time to kick it into overdrive guys. Doug |

Hey Guys...Harley Checking in.
I made it home last night....the wife and I had a couple drinks before going to bed (I probably de-hydrated myself). I got on the scale this morning and lo and behold, I saw 249!!! I know it's not offical until Monday, but I think I have made my mini-goal of 250 by the end of March. I wasn't sure if I would, but I am going to take it. By the way Sally...I have both raspberry and carmel flavored Davinci syrups...they are both pretty good. When I need something sweet, I whip some Heavy Cream with it in there. Tastes like a pudding or moose. Harley Out! |

Ed - that pizza is the best I've found, too. I try to bake the crust a couple of hours in advance and chill it before adding toppings, and it seems to improve the texture even more.
Sally?? I guess you can call me Nancy, cuz I like the DaVinci's. I even use it to make some sissy coffee with a little cream or half and half. CTI - blue cheese is greatness. Cook up a piece of meat in a pan (chicken, beef, pork whatever) after it's done add a little cream, some blue cheese and pepper to pan while the meat rests. Let the cheese melt and the cream reduce to desired thickness and you've got a great, decadent, low carb sauce that's pretty good on just about anything. If you are watching calories, cut the cream with some low sodium chicken broth and give it a few more minutes of reduction time, and it's still great. Keep it up, Doug! |

Afternoon Campers,
Todays going to be tough. I'm going to attempt the bodyweight 350 workout. Heres what it consists of: BODYWEIGHT 350 - 45 Prisoner Squats - 40 Pushups - 20 Jumps - 20 Stability Ball Leg Curls - 20 Stability Ball Jackknifes - 40 Step-Ups - 10 Pullups - 40 Forward Lunges - 40 Close-Grip Pushups - 20 Inverted Rows - 40 Squats - 15 Chinups All done in 30 min or less. My biggest problem will be the chin ups and pull ups. I suck at doing those. I will doing as many as I can then follow those up with some pull downs using the exercise bands I have. My shoulder is still kinda sore where I got a tetness (sp) shot yesterday but I'm going to work through it. I was looking into the TNT diet last night as a follow up program to this belly off one I'm doing now. It's a low carb plan and was reading that they say to hell with the scale and go by what you see in the mirror and how your close are fitting. The scale will drive you nuts (been there but I still check everyday). CTI I used to make a killer shrimp dish with blue cheese. It went something like this. Melt about a 1/2 stick of butter in pan add around 1/4 -1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese add enough bread crumbs so their all moist. Place shrimp in a casserole dish and cover with the bread crumb mixture and bake till shrimp are done. Man that use to be good. Doug glad to here your ready to kick it into overdrive. Put the pedal to the metal and lets get it done. Enough of my rappin' time to sweat. Ed out

saturday evening
today was a much better day than yesterday,
yesterday i gave up on my run cause my leg was hurting, went to get sized for some new shoes and sat on my sunglasses, still got a big enough butt to crush the lenses!! so today i finished week 3 of c25k, feel pretty good about the run, legs were real tired during, but ok after, went for a walk with the family after dinner, and the wife wants to do some pilates after dinner i may join her, not looking good for the next 2 weeks, ive gotta work a 15 hr nite shift tomorrow nite and then 2 more overtime shifts after that, all nite shifts, i may have to postpone the runs for a bit, but i wil do something Ed, i really like yer workout routines, they are hardcore, you are a beast man, they remind me of those new infomercials for a workout called P90X located here: P90X® - Fitness, Nutrition, Diet, Weight Loss Official Website anyone seen those infomercials? sounds like a good concept, keep tricking the body so it doesnt get used to one exercise, same thing as Ed seems to be doing im gonna stop now, im feeling too chatty

Good evening fellas. Just checking in.
fatfreddie, I don't know if I could sit next to others eating pizza and still stay on plan. Pizza is like my kryptonite, I am powerless against it. Keep up the good work, looks like your down about 10lbs in 10 days. That's awesome. Ken, I have seen those p90x infomercial also. It does look interesting. Seems like they offer lots of unconventional ways of working all the muscles. Keeps the body guessing. Keep up the hard work guys. |

Evening Everyone,
Ken, I saw that infomercial and it definately looks kick ass. I was looking into it and found it on ebay for a lot cheaper if ayone is interested. Well I finished the 350 workout in 24:48 not bad but it definatley kick my butt I'm still a little sore. Those squats were tough but you can stop and take a rest if needed. I had to rest quite a few times. Went out to eat tonight an got a one pound burger minus the bun. I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing but it was good. I even opted out of the fries for some broccoli. Going to attempt to take the scooter out for its 1st ride of the season tomorrow. Just as long as it warms up a little. Have a good one Ed out |

Good Morning Men!
Ohmigosh your recipes make my head spin ... they sound soooo good! and eating the innards of stuffed pizza ... CTI you are a genius! That may be my new mall food court solution ... I thought of Camp Charlie this morning, because I turned on the tube and there was that P90X infomercial, lol! You know it looks just like the stuff we do in a strength class I do at my gym twice a week - they change it up a lot which leaves me sore sometimes. I actually switched out two weekly weights workouts to do this class and I think it has been very effective in getting areas I may not have been working as well on my own. I've been a member of that gym for years and never set foot in those classes because I'm not a "class" kinda person, but I'll just say if you like that infomercial workout and are a gym member you may want to check out any class called "strength" or "bootcamp" ... might also give you a chance to meet the ladies ... heh heh heh!! Summer creeps ever closer. Time to put it in gear!!! Have a great week!!!! PaulineLast edited by TaDa! : 03-30-2008 at 05:30 AM. |

MOrning!
Ok, so the other day I said something along the lines of "I don't want to sound like a "Sally".... Well, last nite.... My wife Erin decides after dinner that she wants to go out for a bit to get away from the kids. We live in a VERY small village about 1/2 hour from Syracuse, and we hardly ever go to the city to visit the bars that are likely much more, well non redneck. We almost always go to this little bar in the country called Port of Call. This place is EVERYTHING you would expect in a country redneck bar. Not that it is a "country" bar at all. It is the typical camo wearing, one pool table, pick up truck and snowmobile dominated parking lot kinda place. We almost ALWAYS have a blast when we go there. We get there, and here I am, driving the mini-van, and still doing induction. I decide that rather than have a couple of Mic Ultra's, that I will just stay 100% clean. Imagine the surprise of the bartender when I "belly" up to the bar, and order a diet coke!!! I thought she was going to have a freakin stroke!!! Now you have to understand that when I am being "bad", I am the guy at the bar who will have a jack and coke in one hand and a shot of Tequilla in the other ( no sense wasting time when other people are driving). Let me just tell ya that it took her a few minutes to find a diet anything!!! Bottom line, is that even though the folks at the bar had a good laugh at my expense (asking such polite questions such as if my panty hose were too tight), we had a GREAT time!!! We didn't stay too long, but I had the best beef jerkey, and chicken wings. I won a few games of pool to re-claim my manly man status, and then we got back in the mini van to come home to watch the end of the B-ball game... This morning, get up, am down ANOTHER pound, no hang over, and sit here typing with my awesome cup of coffee with DaVinchi in it!!! My boat should be going back in the water in about a month, and I will be damned if I am gonna be the fat guy on the lake!!! BTW, we spend a LOT of time on the lake in the summer... 28ft Imperial, sleeps 6. Anyone else on here boat?? Get motivated PEOPLE!!!! Summer is coming SOONER than you think!!! Happy Sunday!!!

fatfreddie you Da Man!,
I sitting here reading your post LMAO. I think your my clone right down to the mini van. Except I did suck down a few to many brews this past weekend and they weren't even close to being ultra or even lite beers. My old motto was when in doubt drink stout. Even had it engraved on a mug at a local brew pub. We (as in a group of 7 bikes) got all bundled up on Sunday and took the bikes out for the 1st ride this year. Burrrrrrr is all I can say 45 degrees my ass. We went down to the shore to have a late lunch. I was happy to see oysters on the menu, nope don't have any, cherry stones, nope no gots, ok give me the bucket of mussels, ummmm let me guess. Well I ended up with a calimari breaded, and a cheese steak - the bun and a diet coke. As freddie stated earlier you should have seen the look everyone gave me. Of course my BIL sitting next to me is suckin on a Guiness. But all was good. Hope the weigh in is later today. Hey Ken I think all you need is a chin up bar and a set of dumbells for the p90x. The rest i think is using your bodyweight. Be prepared to sweat. Thanks for the visit Pauline. Alex where are you? Adam? Good luck @ weigh in Gents. I'll be back Ed out |

Hi dudes,
3/24/2008 257.0 3/31/2008 253.2 Had a good week. Ed, I picked up ingrediants to make that flax bread and that Deep Dish Pizza Quiche. Last night made the flax bread. My rvw (from the perspective of someone who's never eaten flax bread before): looks and texture of banana bread, taste of a dark, dark rye or similar. Its got its own taste for sure. Not wheaty, not pumpernickel...different. Following that recipe...I agree, it tasted a bit salty. The oil I used was Olive oil and it took me about 30 min or so to bake. not 20. Tried it last night out of the oven and again this morning. I think thatll end my flax bread experiment. Glad I tried it though. Truthfully, I dont think Ive ever baked bread before...but I did it. Going to try making that quiche later. Looking fwd to trying that too. predicting 8" of snow through tomorrow here. Yeah...that sucks donkey balls.... Ill weigh in again tomorrow for APRIL 1st. haha (not may) I havnt been the worlds fastest weight loss machine. but its been consistant and i'm grateful. |
