Morning girls !!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend !!

The kids and I went to Church at 9AM. It was, of course, packed. We arrived at 8:40 for the 9:00 service. We took a few pictures, got a good seat...the kids behaved.

After mass we went home and I started cooking. I brought stuffed mushrooms and a red potato dish to my folks'. My Mom made turkey. I indulged in some stuffing and french bread, and the cream from a canoli. I didnt do that much damage.

We got home, the kids watched a movie and I fell asleep WAY too early watching some DVR'd shows.....unfortunately I had 6 more points of pretzels which put me at 35.5 for the day and dipping me further into my WPAs.

I am feeling very very very discouraged. The scale isnt going down, but up. Can you guys offer some advice from my previous menus? What am I missing ? As you know, I was disappointed with 0.4 loss last week......I'm thinking I'm on the verge of gaining this week.

Thanks.

Good morning Reg and all the other WW's!!!

Reg, don't feel discouraged...hey, that shirt looked awesome yesterday, remember? I am kind of doubting the program as well, and I need to just settle into it and give it some time to work. Coming from years of Atkins, I am feeling like eating so much/so often, and with sugars, is going to make me gain. But I am going to stick it out and let it work. We just need to stay OP!!

I need to find a new recipe or two this week. I love the WW brown bread from last week, but this week I am going to try blueberry (or raspberry) muffins out of that book. And since I am back teaching this week, I would like to find a crock-pot meal that is low points for me, but that the family would like, too. Any ideas?

Hello everyone! Today was weigh-in and I gained 2.2 pounds! I have been eating terribly (although I didn't eat any Easter candy) and I am in the middle of TOM. What did I expect? We had a snowstorm on Friday and it really put me out of the exercise mood. I really hope this weather breaks once and for all. I have re-committed and will do better this week. Good luck to all Monday weighers!

Way to go Reg on your NSV! I am not trying any new recipes this week, although I always use recipes from the WW board. My husband likes them and he is a picky eater, so it is definitely a win! Tonight I am making baked chicken with sun-dried tomato sauce. It is only 4 points!

Let us know how it turns out. I eat a lot of chicken and would LOVE to try it a new way.

Sorry about the scale, the weather and TOM.....Here's to a better week for you !!

Yes, I hear that alot.....I just want to be skinny like yesterday !!

I did OK yesterday......and I should give myself some credit. I'm too hard on myself.

It's been so hard getting my exercise in with the kids off from school. I only got 1 walk in so far........I really needed to go yesterday (we got home around 6:00 from my folks') but I convinced the turkey made me sleepy and I didnt want to move. That, and I was up early cooking........that didnt help.

So......I hope DH comes home while there's still daylight.

I too am a bit shocked that WW works after seeing what I could accomplish on Atkins.

I"m going to try to keep my snacks low for a while......as long as I dont feel deprived that is

Good luck with your crock-pot recipe search. I personally dont like food from the pot as it seems to be very soft......but DH loves it.....I made ribs a few weeks ago. So simple for me, and he got 2 meals out of it.

Coffee cakes and chocolate cakes are 1 point for 3. The yellow are 2 points (maybe 3) because the fiber is lower.

Ok someone help me out here
why would 3 sweet-hot pickles with 35 calories and no fat and no fiber be worth 1 point? I thought it would be free. Is it because there's sugar in them? I'll keep them, they are worth 1 point to me
Thanks!

Way to go Dedicated on losing 3 pounds! WOOHOO! Thanks for the support!

Twinkerbell-it's just water weight. It will come off next week. I am not sure about why a sweet-hot pickle would have one point.

Here's to a fabulous week!

Good Afternoon....I am down 8lbs. for my first week.
I am going to kick up my exercising this week. I am out the door
soon to go swim.
I am counting points but making sure I watch anything with sugar in it. That
is a trigger for me.
Here is a recipe I am making for dinner tonight. Has anyone tried it?
I am told it is really easy and good.

Chicken Cordon Bleu
5 points per serving

4 4oz chicken breasts pounded thin
8 pieces thinly sliced honey ham
4 wedges Laughing Cow Cheese (I used garlic and herb)
1/2 package Shake & Bake ( can use seasoned bread crumbs also)

Preheat oven to 400 Pound out the chicken until about 1/4 inch thickness. Place 2 slices ham per chicken and 1 wedge of Laughing Cow (I also put some chopped chives in) Roll up the chicken and secure with tooth picks. Try to not let any of the ham show, as it will get crispy during baking. Place in a Pam greased baking dish and sprinkle tops with Shake and Bake. Bake 35-45 mins depending on the thickness of the ham.

Oh...I made something that tasted like "memories from my child hood". My mom used to bake a cream pie with drained canned pineapple. I made it using the SF Jello vanilla pudding, the kind you cook. I put it in the tiny little graham cracker pie tins. It made 6 very full ones. I let it set up and cool in the fridge and then adding whipped topping at the end. Talk about good!! Hubby thought it was great also.

I checked the points calculator and 6 for 70 cal/0fat/0fiber and is still 1 point.
