Maybe this thread will help give you an idea of what to eat for the correct ratios. And I agree with Zilla, I wouldn't do CAD with this, but YMMV.

Hungry?
I have been following this way of eating for about 3 days and I can't seem to keep the protein low enough. I always end up with way over 70% protein. Usually about 90grams. I am supposed to be at around 55 grams each day. I have found out that everything has protein in it and boy does it add up!
If I try to stay at that I am so hungry. My fats are around 80% and carbs are about 10%. Any suggestions? Also, I have read that Dr. Groves says to eat until satisfied of meat, fish, poultry, etc. I feel like I'm not doing this right and maybe missing something? Also, I am having a hard time finding his book. Any ideas on that as well would be appreciated. Thanks.Jenny |

If your fats are 80% and carbs are 10% then that only leaves 10% for protein. Are you using fitday? 90 grams of protein sounds fine to me. I sometimes even have a little more. I'm 5'7" and weigh 145ish and am mainly just trying to maintain. His book is available on amazon. Don't give up and if you're hungry eat something and don't skimp on the fat to flavor it with.

Thank you, Sandy. I would love to be 145ish
Maybe some day. I can't give up 'cause that means going back and that's unacceptable. I am at 183 lbs. and your same height. Gotta ways to go and I need all the info I can get to work this program, so I really appreciate your help. Thank you. Oh yeah, I am using fitday, but I thought from the caluclator sight that my protein intake had to be at about 55 grams - 60 grams. Jenny |

I am very interested in this WOE. I have low-carbed for well over a year, but I have been more than frustrated as I have not lost any weight for quite a while.
I have been following the EFGT Threads, and now I have ordered Barry Groves' book. I believe in this way of eating for life, but I also want to lose this weight and then maintain. Could some of you post your menus? I think that would be very helpful. I also plug my food into Fitday, and I have done the LBM calculator, etc., so I am ready with the percentages, etc. Thank you for any help and advice that you can give!
