It was so beautiful. I want to go back one day. There was a little cafe where we had lunch which included a glass of wine for only $10 a person. I have gorgeous pictures of the sights.

I just got back from breakfast at MeeMaws, Amy!
Yes, Lauren, I am in Melbourne, well, the beachside, anyway. That would be three of us here in South Brevard. Any others? I do consider that I live in paradise, most everyday. Until summer, when I only feel that way in the evenings. For all of you that have been snowed in, we have our equivalent in the summer here, when it is too hot to go outside until 8:00 at night or so. |

Did you all see that our Cleo is featured here?
Jimmy Moore's Livin' La Vida Low-Carb? Blog: Diet & Health March Madness Coming Up, Baby! 12. LOW-CARB ITALIAN FOOD MADE FROM CAULIFLOWER? One of my favorite low-carb bloggers is Cleochatra--aka Jamie VanEaton--because she always comes at life from a slightly "tilted" perspective (kinda like me!) and this group of Italian recipes using cauliflower as the basis for pizza, bread sticks, and even lasagna shows just how creative she can be in the kitchen, too. Hey, don't knock it until you try it and Cleo gives you some pretty amazing instructions about how to do this up right! So grab you some cauliflower and get to cooking up some delicious low-carb Italian foods. And leave a comment at the bottom of the page to cheer her on as she has been chosen as a finalist in the YourHub.com Hit Parade contest. Click here to add to her "hit" totals! Do be sure to visit Cleo's site to get the great recipes: Pizza, bread sticks and lasagna from CAULIFLOWER!

This really stinks..from the Kimpound
This was the first post of a newbie at KK. She obviously needs some encouragement and this is what she got.
Hello everyone! Just started K/E and lost about 6 lbs the first week, but now over the last few days the scale hasn't moved Any suggestions? I need help and reassurance!! "la Kimmer": About 60% of what you lose in week 1 is water weight due to carb cutting. That weight comes back when you're close to goal and begin adding good carbs back. It also happens if someone "cheats" or has a higher carb meal or snack (typical for weekends). What are you eating? How often are you eating hamburger, beef and/or pork? How much lunch meat? Sauces or cheese? Coffee creamer? "SL": Definitely please give lists of what you have been eating the last couple days. Some things that are high in sodium can cause water retention, which will appear as stalls.....and TOM for women often can mean water retention, or not seeing any weight loss for a few days. Some people report stalls if they are getting a lot of artificial sweetner, say drinking a lot of crystal light or diet soda etc...and it could also just be possible there is something you have innocently been eating that may have more carbs then you realize. I have a post at the top of the Newbie forum here that is stickied titled " What happens when we cheat, a must read." It explains ketosis and the mechanics of what causes the weight loss, and what can happen from eating anything that could have too many carbs. So instead of getting an "atta girl" for losing 6 pounds, she gets jumped all over for "cheating" when that is probably not the case at all. Poor gal, why would anybody want to take that kind of snotty abuse? No wonder there is hardly any activity anymore. One post like that and who'd want to come back? Kimmer's weight went up 2 pounds from last week. What did she do to cause that? She needs to post her menus and let them get picked them apart. Someone could accuse her of "cheating". Maybe that will get her back in gear. |

OK Ducks... here's a piece of info for you to chew on. Is there a relation? I don't know, but we could use some help if there is... what are your thoughts on this connection?

So duckies... what do you think of this connection? A weird twist or the inspiration for some of Heidi's fake names?? |

* DeDe Halcyon Day is a prominent socialite in San Francisco and the daughter of Edgar Halcyon. She is in a contemptuous marriage to Beauchamp Day and is frequently admonished for her 'puffy' appearance. Aware of her husband's infidelity with Mary Ann, DeDe retreats to an exclusive fitness spa an emerges more confident. Her energized reunion with Beauchamp, however, is spoiled when she realized an earlier dalliance with the Chinese grocery boy has left her pregnant. She goes to great lengths to conceal the truth, including sleeping with a particularly grimy gossip columnist.
* Beauchamp Day is DeDe's narcissistic and philandering husband. Aside from bitterly sucking up to Edgar - his boss - and snidely putting down his wife, Beauchamp also finds the time to carry on extramarital affairs with both Mary Ann and Jon. * Edgar Halcyon is the head of Halcyon Communications. He and his wife, Frannie, have grown apart and, when he learns that he is dying, he begins a rejuvenating affair with Anna Madrigal. Edgar is protective of his daughter, DeDe, which strains his relationship with Beauchamp, his son-in-law and employee. * Frannie Halcyon is Edgar's wife and DeDe's mother. She spends most of her days oblivious in an alcohol-induced haze. She is partial to mai tais. i don't see any similarities christin...![]() |

I think Kimmer should have to step on a scale in front of God, the jury, the court, and the judge so that folks will know if, even today, she is being untruthful about the weight losses she is claiming on her site.
