We can split the salad & pick off the all the cheese. I think I have some salad spray left in the 'fridge.

Each of us can have a jello cup sized serving of plain broccoli and I'll warm up a cup of plain FF/low sodium chicken broth.

And I'll water down some crystal light.

We can have some SF jello...one only though, and that will more than enough for us and Mayberry too. Hey Reb, where are you? You're invited too.

I'm here. There aren't any carrot shavings in that salad, are there?

Now, where were we when this dust up got started?

Yes. It's called the Hardee's low-carb thickburger. It's delicious!

Jo~

I'll let you off the hook this time for dinner. Besides, I didn't save you any of the shrimp scampi I had for lunch.

ha! sl found out people were looking at her page cause she now has a message to lcf on it and says she is putting the files up in different formats or something to make them play easier. she must be doing something to it right now because the players are all mismatched and not lined up and there are active x control pop ups. thats funny though that she put that message on there. i don't care, i still don't think the files are her no matter what format she puts them in.

Mom and I made the shrimp and it was scrumptious.

Too bad that you have no Hardee's. I'm sure you can find a "similar" rehab facility to meat your needs.

I went to the expert on this

Well that reminded me, a few days ago someone was asking SL if this was okay:

"when i do the kimkins i eat 1 cup of the dole classic salad which has lettuce purple cabbage and shredded carrots is that ok ? or do you recommend something else?"

and SL said
"As for the salad---carrots are pretty high in carbs/ sugar thus why they are not allowed during weight loss phase of the plan."

and the gal said she'd ditch that 1 cup of dole classic. Which probably had at the most 3 shreds of carrot in it.

So in answer to your question, Reb. No! Absolutely no carrots. Don't even think about it.

My rehab medication includes a glass of merlot with that steak on the grill; a generous serving of freshly grated parm/reg cheese on my salad & a little cheddar, bacon and sour cream on my broccoli plus some fresh strawberries for dessert

You're more than welcome to come and sit. I get so busy with life that I forget how nice it used to be to sit on the porch at my great aunt's house.

Shrimp Scampi

1 1/2 pounds large shrimp (about 16 to 24)
1/3 cup clarified butter
4 tablespoons minced garlic
6 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh if possible
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION:
Rinse shrimp and set aside. Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic 1 or 2 minutes or until softened but not browned. Add shrimp, green onions, wine and lemon juice; cook until shrimp are pink and firm, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Do not overcook. Add chopped parsley and salt and pepper before serving. Garnish with lemon slices and parsley sprigs if desired. (copyright Diana Rattray @ about.com)

ENJOY!

What would a help wanted ad for Kimkins look like?

Just had an amusing thought. What if Kimmer told the truth when she's searching for new admin(ion) material over at the Kimpound? The ad might go something like this:

Help Wanted: Looking for help scanning posts on popular diet website and chastizing members for eating outside the approved foods list. No need to have good memorizations skills as the approved foods list is very short. Must be stern and never question the wisdom and knowledge of the site owner. Site owner also prefers admins who have an identicle twin as she has a distinct fondness for things that normally come in pairs. Call 866-going 2 jail to apply.

Can I come too? My aunt had a house with a porch like that. Summers, she always had lemonade and sugar cookies to bring to you. Of course, I have to avoid those today, but I'll share your iced tea and bring some coconut bark.
