Sure hope the fever breaks - and that it kills off whatever started the fever (a body's defense mechanism). Push fluid to help flush out whatever it is that the fever is laboring to kill off. Support the body's defenses, as much as possible, rather than trying to chill the fever.

You are ALL sick at once? I wonder what is going on. Hope this passes, fast!

THanks Zer - and everyone - for your thoughful words. I still feel awful, but my fever seems to be on the way out. I'm currently 100.5, but my throat is so sore from coughing. DH went and got more meds, including some throat spray for me. It helps some. We are all sick mainly cause this bug is sailing through the local schools. One day this week a local elementary sent home 19 students in one day with this same thing. That's a lot of kiddos! A lot of my students are absent this week, too. Instead of missing about 3 kids in a day, I'm missing around 10. Its a long illness, too. If my DD9 has one more fever over 101 she has to go for bloodwork and a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia.

So, yes, ladies, 299.7 this AM. I'm wondering if it will stick, since I haven't been eating much. Yesterday I had sausage and 2 eggs, and late last night I had 2 pieces of bologna and some strawberries with cottage cheese. I also had 2 cups of coffee with creamand splenda. And water... I'm not into eating much even now - but I THINK about it a lot! Maybe this loss will stay and continue to move downward to the point that I will NEVER see 300 again!!!!!!!!! BBL, got to get ready for work - today will be a doozy, I'm sure!

TWOterVille, at last!

Terrific to see the scales confirming your arrival in TWOterVille, at last! Even if you bounce a bit, as you regain your health, you know you've ARRIVED! Yay!

Gives me a large charge, celebrating each LC friend's passage! HaPpYdancing!

Cleo scores another winning recipe on a Zucchini Pizza Crust

All the reports are raving about Cleo's latest LC creation at Taco Pizza with a Zucchini Crust and even I am tempted to try my hand at cooking, just to see if I can manage this savory crust that carries a load of fresh vegies on top of a meaty topping liberally sprinkled with cheese. Taco Pizza! What a perfect blending of ideas!

Good morning! And what a GOOD morning it is...

The woosh fairy FINALLY paid me a visit! After weeks of stalling and then going up a couple of pounds to 346, cutting back on cheese and a couple other things seems to have done the trick (that, or thoroughly enjoying the magic that is Cleo's cauliflower pizza)! I'm down to my lowest since starting this WOE... 340.8! I am so glad to finally see the scale showing some movement for my committment!

Today's Menu:
B- CO bark, 3 hb eggs (1)
L- leftover cauliflower pizza (8)
S- 2 beef franks (2)
D- cobb salad (4)
TOTAL = 15 carbs / 3 liters of water
(MAYBE going to the gym... but it's a day off, so we'll see if I make it )

P.S. Somehow I'm feeling MUCH better! But really, I think maybe I hadn't eaten enough, especially since I'd worked out. I was a bit tired and fevery last night, but I'm feeling good today. I hope the rest of you feel better soon too!

Congrats on 346#

...and on your whoosh down to 340.8# too. It's all good!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I was wondering if it was low blood sugar. Sometimes that hits me and makes me queasy. KUTGW!

Blah

DING DONG TOM IS DEAD, TOM IS DEAD, TOM IS DEAD, DING DONG THE WICKED TOM IS DEAD.

And as an extra added bonus the scale budged down …. Slightly …. But it did! 326.2. Not the kind of progress I was hoping for, but I’ll take it. I was just about to get super frustrated and do something horrible!

Last night my shoes arrived. I’m not quite as excited as I was when I ordered them, at least about the sneakers for walking. I mean like on the treadmill or out on the trails w/ the dog for a semi workout. They didn’t come w/ the DVD they were supposed to on how to use them correctly. The pair I bought for work, Danskos, don’t fit my giant feet.

This time last week I was so excited! I had my work cloths hemmed, I expected to have the sneakers for using last weekend, and was going to FINALLY have decent shoes for work on Monday. It’s been a while. I HATE shopping, and don’t usually give a crap what I look like. Now I have to deal w/ the return.

Which sounds trivial, but I never did return the scale I bought and hated. I’m really bad at taking care of this stuff. I have a guaranteed harness for the dog that needs to be sent in for an exchange. Who knows if I’ve missed the deadlines on those now. But for $100 something for the shoes, $45 for the scale, and $30ish for my Bou’s harness I REALLY need to take care of it. Hell! It would cover my dinner out, and groceries for next week.

That’s the other reason I’m not as excited as I should be. I have to go out for Chinese tonight. I’m dreading the weekend and the coming week in general, in terms of staying on plan. When I’m not at home, and not eating out w/ my friends 2 or 3 times a week, I can be VERY good and strict. Now I have pretty much group dinners for the foreseeable future. Plus St Patrick’s Day and the long weekend for easter coming up. Traditionally social/group meals are when I lose my sense of discipline. Plus w/ daylight savings I’m going to feel horrible about going to my swim classes at the Y instead of taking my dog to the park. She HATES it when I stick my head in for 5 min to let her out, change, and the run out the door again.

I need to find that happy, excited feeling about doing this again. Any ideas?

woo hoo, the scale finally moved in the right direction this morning! Only .5 but I'll gladly take it! I'm 365.5 after holding at 366 for almost 3 weeks!

This morning I re-discovered the utter comfort and joy that is a ham and cheese omelette - with my bran muffin of course

way to go!

I just looked at your stats - you've lost 120 some odd pounds in less than a year! And your anniversary is coming up!!

Do you have any a goal for that on year mark? Whether you have one or not, and whether you hit that goal or not - you need to celebrate it! That's a real accomplishment!

Do you have a reward planned?

You guys are doing SO amazingly! Just reading all of the successes you are having makes me so happy! I couldn't be happier if it was me. Seriously.

I am so proud of all of you!!!

Is Tamale a little less hot today? I hope she's feeling better.

Zer-- as an aside, you mentioned a bunch of awesome-sounding toppings for the taco pizza you said needed to be included, and I was like, "que?" save for the avocado. What were the rest of the ingredients? They sound awesome!

Thanks! I'm totally stoked. My reward? New clothes!!!!!

Seriously my clothes are falling offa me. So when my 1 year anniversary happens, I'm going shopping! I don't wanna go hog wild, but I do need some basics to get me thru to my next hundred pounds

Thank you all for your support!
Sadly, I am not much better. I went to work and I shouldn't have.
I am totally blocked up - my sinuses feel like they are about to explode.
Fever comes and goes.
I had such a horrible day today - right down to my van's battery dying, needing to call my dad, my DH, and triple A all in turn. And still I haven't caved. Thank you Jesus!
BBTOmorrow! Have a nice night, ladies!

426.2 Today; 6.2# gone since scales arrived a month ago!

Caught a glimpse of 425.0 this morning, as my scale's numbers shifted under my unsteady stance after climbing aboard in the 8second window allowed for boarding - before power cuts off and I have to start all over again. But the shifting red display numbers settled at 426.2 before cutting to black. Not bad.

Remember, this is JUST DATA, accurate data for me to record and report. This is not my value as a human being or a measure of my mastery of LC skills. It's just data. I've writ it in BIG RED NUMBERS in my datebook, to remind me that I am serious about finding my way to THREEdom (for starters) in this lifetime.

...because I do forget, apparently, as I see food, that I am no longer eating as a pastime or as a remedy for what ails me or just because food is there. Sigh.

Today I am eating to fuel my cells, to energize my brain and my muscles. Yay!

Hi-
Congrats to Fibergal, Cris, Zer, Heather and everyone else! WOOHOO! KUTGW!

Cris-sorry you had such a bad day and you felt so awful. **hugs** Hope today is better and the weekend leads to a recovery for you and your family. I also hope the van battery can be revived. Cars just seem to have a critical need sensor and they won't work just when we need them most!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
