lol! That is why I take a couple of minutes (literally!) through the day to post menus, then a couple hours at night just before bed. By then I am usually too fried and just conscienous enough to read through everything and do a short post. lol. Usually by then, there are 15-20 threads to read.

Today's Menu:
B- Atkins shake, CO bark (2)
L- ham (4)
S- coffee w/cream and splenda, beef frank (4)
D- Cleo's cauliflower pizza w/cheese, alfredo & pepperoni (???)
TOTAL = 10 + dinner / 3 liters of water
(heading to the gym... plan to walk ~ 3 miles)

We've never made the cauliflower pizza crust before, so we're going to give it a try! It looks really yummy! I'm not exactly sure on the carb count, but I'll figure it out and update later. Also, I'm not having any other cheese today so that I can enjoy that pizza toight!

Last night we ended up not having time to make the Oopsies, so they're on the schedule for tonight... and then I can add a bit more variety, especially for my breakfasts on the run! We're also planning to hard boil some more eggs for that reason and for snacks.

This morning I was back up to large ketosis, so I'm REALLY hoping that's an indication that I'm headed out of my stall!!!

Building camaraderie (a topic that fascinates me)

I myself pass on evening events, so I wonder if a wknd meeting - breakfast or midday - would bring out more folks to support PTO's projects. Friendship is an important factor in building camaraderie in any org. Maybe if PTO offers friendship, it would draw more member activity? I'm intrigued by dynamics of a group, what makes some groups effective and what makes others less effective.

I've heard that in ANY group, a third of the members do most of the work - no matter what. Having a prez who is over-extended hurts any group that might not seem to offer opportunities to others with more time.

just got this in my email

LOVE YA
One morning you will never wake up
Do all your friends know you love them?
I was thinking...I could die today, tomorrow or next week,
and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed,
friendships that needed rekindling, or three words needing to be said.
Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think
they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do.
And just in case GOD calls me home before I see you again......
I LOVE YA!!!

Live today to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised.

Just checking in. I'm going a little off diet tonight. We're getting Chinese food. However, they make a Happy Family that I can order with no added flour/starch, etc. So, I'm not cooking the food, but it still is things I'm allowed to eat.

It was a lonnnnnnnng day at the beginning of a lonnnnnnng week. At least it will be half over by the end of tomorrow.

oh darlin, im so the wrong person....i dont measure anything! i'll tell ya whats in it though if that might help a bit.

i used one 8oz package of cream cheese and 8 eggs...this time i actually forgot the cream of tartar but did add xanthan to the whites and they got super stiff! to yolks i added a few packets of splenda (maybe six), a few shakes of cinnamon, about a tablespoon of flax meal, about half a teaspoon of baking powder and a bit of xanthan....now i added the xanthan at the end cuz it seemed to be too liquidy, but i mixed it for too long and it became a big blob and got REALLY hard to incorporated into the whites. so i ended up using my hand blender on the low setting to get it all mixed together...it was quite an ordeal! lol....and i baked it in one of those foil pans you use for lasagna...a shallow one. i think the oven was at 350 or so and i just baked it til i could smell the cinnamony goodness i dont know how long that was though...heres some pics of my last one that didnt have so many mishaps!

that one i cut into 8 slices...but this one was in a bigger pan so i cut it into 12...and i eat it with buttercreme frosting or sugar free syrup depending on my mood...

Laura -
C.S. Friedman has several books to pick from. If you like a longer tale, then I would suggest the Coldfire Trilogy, which consists of "Black Sun Rising", "When True Night Falls", and "Crown of Shadows". It's more of a story around a quest. If you want to just have the story in one book, you could try "The Madness Season", "This Alien Shore", or "In Conquest Born". The last one kind of has a sequel to it "The Wildling", but it isn't a continuation of a single story, more like two stories that have a similar background, just a different timeline. Her latest is supposed to be another trilogy with a different story around what happens after the first trilogy. I read really fast, so I love having the series, but she doesn't write the same way for each of the single books, so it's like something fresh and new with each new story.

I gave in and weighed myself this morning (2 weeks since the last time - 2nd & 3rd week of induction), and the scale showed no change. I then measured my waist since I was not about to believe that there was no change whatsoever, and found that my waist alone dropped 3 inches!! YEEEEEE HAAAAAA!! It's a change in the right direction, and I'll take all of those I can get. TOM may be just around the corner here, so that may change. I can never tell when it might be, since I have PCOS, but it feels like it's on the way.

I also just had my hair cut - 11 inches off. I have been trying to get a hair cut into my schedule for a while now, and I just couldn't deal with having my hair getting into everything. My husband spent a half hour this weekend trying to get my hair off the vacuum brush roll!! Now my neck feels cold......

its yummy! it looks like bread but its more the consistency of a custard to me...i like to eat it with an egg, some sausage and maybe cheese...and its like a mcgriddles breakfast sammich!

flavor is just a cinnamon/sugar type...which is one of my favorite flavors (former hardcore CTC* fan here!)

CONGRATS on the inches lost! I'm so glad you shared this because I never took measurements and I've also been at the same weight for a while now even though I've continued to be on plan... so I'm thinking my inches are probably shrinking too! I should flippin' measure myself already so that I'll know from here on out. Anyway, way to go!!!

Congrats on the inches lost, SkittlesMom! Are you going to post a pic of your new 'do?

Behind - you should definitely measure. I resisted for a long time, but it's gotten me through some serious scale stalls. I know we can feel that our clothes are looser, but somehow having that concrete number on the tape or the scale seems to help, doesn't it? And a lot of times, with Atkins, it seems like it goes in cycles. Your waistline is shrinking while your body is preparing for its whoosh!

Hi to all! I'm so tired. My kids were at their dad's house this weekend. They rode home with their grandma, and didn't get home until 11:30 last night!!! My poor 6yo had to get up at 6:30 this morning to get ready for school. He did pretty good, believe it or not! But I finally had to wake Kai up at about 11, because preschool starts at noon! Poor Bonky was exhausted! So he had "brunch". He thought that was pretty cool.

I will never understand what their thought process is, though (ex's family). You know the kids have school the next day, so you leave in the afternoon for a 5+ hour trip?

/rant - thanks for listening!

Just up to empty fluid and to refill my bedside water bottle. Might weigh too, as it's Wednesday and there just MIGHT be a tiny change from last weighing. Anything moving down will encourage me to stick to plan. Still nice to know for sure, whichever way the scales show me going. Weight fluctuates, up/down, as hormones and salt and nature has its way. Even the best workout artist sees a bounce - and it's refreshing to hear anyone say that a whoosh might bounce a bit before settling back down to a firm loss. Slow and steady wins the race!

Posting monthly loss for 12mos; great incentive!

I am really inspired by your signature, showing monthly loss during a full year. Well, almost a full year. March will give us a full 12mos to congratulate you on.

I do SO admire your acceptance of the bounces we see, as nature and hormones have their way with us. Great attitude. Thanks for letting us see what EXTREME EXERCISE can accomplish as you work a LC plan.

389.8? It counts as a breach of the 390# hurdle!

Great weight! So catch a snooze before you are finally up for good!

Got to get more activity going.

Not sure how I shall manage it, but I've just GOT to get more activity - even if it is only schlepping myself to and from the loo more often. I can see that I am losing what little muscle tone my massive legs have developed from decades of toting my 400+ pounds around. I'd hate to lose what little benefit I've gained from being obese and having legs work extra hard to heave me here and there!

You guys are crazy! Absolutely Nuts!

Last Friday I checked in b/c I knew it had been a while. February was a busy month at work, getting back on track going swimming after work, a friend’s nervous breakdown, and tons of staying at other peoples’ houses to watch their dogs. (My friends w/ dogs and I all trade off so that we have people to watch our puppies. Like when I go on vacation for 3 weeks at a time, or just skip out for a night for skiing, or baseball and/or sailing). I had no idea it had been a whole month!! You guys were certainly busy while I wasn’t paying attention! Since Friday I’ve been reading and catching up – it took that long b/c apparently you all lost your minds and took this from a support thread to an all consuming obsession!

Good for you all! Seriously it seemed to work. When I finally got to the end this morning everyone had mad
