Belle - Please don't feel like you have anything to apologize about! We all get as into it as we can handle and if/when we get overwhelmed, we step back. I would just hate to lose you
Being able to talk to you gals about the LC thing really helps keep me on track. I always look forward to checking in and seeing what's going on in everyone's lives, and its nice to know that when I need to talk about TTC, you all know where I'm coming from. I can't imagine how hard it would be to deal with a DH in the military, but I can sure listen if/when you need to talk about it Whatever you need to do, just know we're here

Amber - glad those OPKs showed up! I was starting to be a bit concerned that they were ripping you off! Seems like I read somewhere that mid-afternoon after holding your pee for a few hours was the best time to POS KUP!

Mel - how did the fish do re-heated? You've got me craving that now, guess I'll be stopping at the store on the way home

I need to try to get some go-to menu ideas to mix up the food doldrums that have officially set in. What are everyone's go-to dishes? Mine are cheesecake, mock danish (now that I know how to make it ), and chicken fried with bacon, peppers, onions, cheese, mayo and ranch.

Just got back from the eye doc and my exciting news this morning is that @ 1year post laser surgery, my vision's still better than 20/20 My plug FWIW, if you're considering having it done, don't wait, waiting's the only thing I regret about it

WOW! Lots of posts since I was around last. The fish looks delicious, Mel. I'll have to make some this week. Stinky, sorry about your AF. What a witch! Maybe this extra month will give you time to work out other issues. Kat: I'll be checking out your house pics, and I'll friend ya!

Thanks for the friend-ing, ladies

Weigh-in Wednesday and I'm down to a new low for the year, 175.8 It's not any dramatic loss for the week, but I'm happy to be going down, even if it's just a slow and steady decline. Guess I should go change my stats, I think this qualifies as mid-170s Hope everyone else is haveing a good morning!

How do you stay LC when you're sick? I was feeling fine this morning then all of a sudden this afternoon I felt sick. I ended up losing everything but my breakfast. I had a piece of toast just now and it feels like it's gunna stay down but I can't just keep eating toast!

Also, this whole nausea thing has been coming just about every afternoon around 2pm since AF came but today was the first time I actually vomited.

Christina- how do i stay LC when I'm sick??? I don't..... if I am throwing up and the only thing I can keep down is toast or crackers that's what I eat. BUT I don't use that as an excuse to go hog wild when I do feel better, I just act like it never happened and get back on the wagon. This has only happened to me once since LC and it was food poisoning. I had no problems getting back on plan since in my mind I didn't really CHEAT I did what I had to do to survive. To me it's a mental thing.

The fact that you have been getting nauseous every day at the same time is strange.... normally I would say what we all want to hear... maybe you're pregnant... but since it's AF time

Mel- it's not AF time. I got AF last month almost 7 days late. I should have o'd the 3rd of march according to mymonthlycycles.com

So basically just eat enough to get by and make sure not to overload and hop right on track when feeling better?

oh ok since you said "everyday at 2 since AF came" I just assumed AF was here....well then...still not sure what's going on.

If you can get away with just eating it when you can't keep anything else down but don't go overboard with the other high carb foods, I think you should be ok. I think making sure you feel well is the most important and forcing yourself to eat LC food when you feel like trowing up is just torture!

Christina:
Was AF regular? It could have been implantation bleeding if it was light or short. You may want to buy a test just to be sure.

Wednesday Weigh-in: 211.2! I am well on my way to my mini-goal. I'm so excited!

The kids were driving me nuts today. I seriously am feeling like jumping off a cliff!

Christina - is your only ailment that you're nauseous? If so, I’d probably use that pregnancy test, just to make sure. It sounds suspicious to me. Do you temp at all? Are the temps still elevated?

Mel – your fish looks great. I do that with chicken strips and chicken breasts all the time to make faux chicken parm. Good job on the 2 pounds!

Nik – Awesome job on the WL! You’re almost to onederland!! Once you get to a certain weight are you going to start adding more carbs? Or just keep going full speed ahead until you get pregnant and then go to maintenance? Just curious of your plan…

Kat – I’m probably the last person in the world without a myspace account. Can I check out your link w/o being a member? I guess I could click it and find out but I’m feeling overwhelmingly lazy tonight for some reason. Good job at getting to the “mid-170s”!!

Nothing new with me. OPKs are showing negative – not even a scant trace of a line. I hope that they eventually turn positive because I’m beginning to think that everything I pee on turns out negative at this point!! Hehe I’m down 2 pounds today too so I guess we’re all on a roll.

I’m going to browse around. BBL!

Christina - I'm with Mel on the food thing, altho I usually do have problem getting back on plan. This last time though, I was able to get right back on and it didn't seem to cause probs. I hope you feel better Don't know what to tell you about the nausea If you've got a test handy, that's at least one easy thing to check out. Not to sound like a harpy, but you might also wanna check your cals and what you're eating. I get SNATTY late morning, without fail, if I'm not eating enough veggies and keeping my cals up - could be your body's version.

Nik - you are burning up (er, down ) the scale! WTG! Have the kids given you a break? It's gotta be close to bedtime now (shoot, it's almost 8:30, if the Cats weren't playing, I'd be in bed now )

Amber - I don't know if you can see the pics w/o a Myspace acct I'm new to all this stuff (I thought I was the last one to get one ) at you about the OPKs, I know how you feel about the negs. Keep the faith, my girl, the first + (and it'll come soon) will hopefully lead to the next

Weight loss plan A: Burn up as quickly as I can until I get pregnant, then super load the vegetables to increase my carb intake to around 35 a day. This may seem low, but I think it will be my maintenance level without exercise. After pregnancy and nursing is over, I'll go on to plan B.

Weight loss plan B: Burn up as quickly as I can until I get to about 170. Then, up my carb intake more slowly, settling around 35 carbs for OWL until I reach my goal of 150. At that time, I'll reassess my size, since I have never, EVER been thin, to see if 150 is the right fit for me. If so, I'll increase my carbs steadily until I reach equilibrium, then stick with it for life!

Yes, you should be able to view Kat's pics without a MySpace account, so long as she keeps her profile set to "public." When your profile is "private," only people who are your friends can view your site. Like me, I don't want my students viewing my personal information.

These students are the kids I was talking about earlier tonight. They are driving me nuts. I told them to bring ONE workbook to class every day, all week. During the last class period, about five kids didn't bring their workbooks, and I ran out of extras. It's so infuriating! This is why I'm going to teach at the high school next year!

I'm up and moving right now, trying to calm myself down for bed. It's kinda late, but I'm still considering doing my PM Yoga for relaxation. It puts me to sleep like nothing! I'm so high right now because I got a burst of inspiration for decorating my guest room/craft room. I finished up the curtains and will be working on getting the rest of the room in order tomorrow night. It will be somewhat southwestern. The curtains are ivory brocade with a thick central strip of chocolate tooled leather on the insides of the panels. I have hung Gothic wire arches on one wall and circular mirrors set in cathedral-type plaster medallions on the other wall. The color scheme will be tan, ivory, chocolate, and aqua with mauve accents. It sounds kinda ugly, but I think it will be exciting and gorgeous when finished!

Good Morning Girlies,

Had a good night, hope you all did too.

Here's my menu
B: 3 eggs scrambled w/ onions, coffee w/ cream
L: Pork roast w/ asparagus
S: peanut butter (of course)
D: probably chicken breast.... Diced and cooked with a little soy sauce and a pack of splenda (tastes just like chicken teriyaki mmm...mmm...good) and some broccoli.

Have great day girls.... oh yeah wanted to let you know if you have a dollar tree around you, they have pregnancy tests for $1, that's where I get mine ( that way I'm not leery of using them since they only cost a dollar)

Kat - I took the test and got BFN. My throat is a little scratchy this morning but I think that may be connected to yesterday. I'm gunna hop back on Induction and try adding in a Sugar Free Jello around 2-3pm since that's when it's occuring.

Nik- I gotta tell you HS students might not be any better. I never brought my stuff to class in HS but then again I was just a huge brat because I could pass almost everything without doing homework or studying (just by listening to the teacher talk).

Nik - (<---- at me for not realizing you were talking about *those* kids ) You're my hero for being a teacher at all Hope the HSers don't give you quite as hard a time. I think your room sounds purdy I'm in a decorating mindset, too. Thinking about my master BR curtains. What you're describing sounds lovely! I'm thinking of doing 3 straight panels per window in that triple window in the BR, with the middle one being chocolate and the outers being cranberry. Whadaya think

Mel - there you go with great recipe ideas again. I miss teriyaki sauce! I'm gonna have to try your way

Christina - sorry for the BFN hopefully getting something on your belly will help keep the nausea away. FWIW, we've got a stomach bug going around the clinic now, is there anything like that around you? Maybe you're fighting something off?

Hey girls. Just a quick check in for me. Been real busy with work and trying to figure out my life.

I'll be sure to post more this weekend. I've been in an anti-posting mood this week for some reason.

Tomorrow is Friday. Tomorrow is Friday. Tomorrow is Friday. I've been chanting this in my head all day today.

Went in for my physical today. Weighed in at 256 fully clothed. I go back in Tuesday for blood work (I believe they're testing for Diabetes and Thyroid issues since they run in my family) I have to fast for 12 hours. Then I go back next month for a pap.

UGH! Christina! I hate blood work, and the pap, YUCK! Sorry about the BFN, but not a total surprise, eh? Hey, if the kids LISTEN, they can come NEKKID for all I care! *JK*

Kat: I love the idea of chocolate and cranberry on the windows. What is the wall color? Do you have a builder website that may have floor plans and/or a virtual tour? I absolutely love looking at houses. In fact, I went to a local TK builder showroom the other day just to look around and get decorating ideas. My theory is that floral arrangements make the room look "done."

The kids are getting worse, and spring break's two weeks away. God save us all!

Morning Ladies,

Nik- 2 weeks away.. poor you my spring break starts at 2:00 Pm TODAY! I am working next week but there won't be students here so it doesn't really count!

Here's my menu today
B: coffee w/ cream
L: broccoli and tuna
S: peanut butter
D: not sure yet

yesterday I went to world market... they have SOOOOO many different flavors of SF Torani Syrup... I got SF Irish Cream and SF Chocolate..... they are very good... They also had (all SF) white chocolate, english toffee, caramel, vanilla, french vanilla, hazelnut, almond roca, raspberry, peach, coconut.. I can't remember the rest. And only 5.99 a bottle! I was a happy camper, my new bigger kitchen is gonna look like a coffee shop!

Also went to Bed, bath and beyond... got a Pedegg...... love it, love it, love it, if you don't know what it is just google it. I used to 20% off coupon they sent me so it was only $8.00.

Then we went to Chili's.. I am a buzz agent (you join campaigns, they send you samples, then you tell people what you think of the product.. feel free to google it) and my recent campaign was for the new smokehouse triple thick bacon burgers at Chili's so we had 4 free coupons, we took our best friends out to dinner and tried the burgers. They were really good and VERY filling. Everyone else was stuffed cause they had the fries and the bun.. me on the other hand.. I had no bun and a side of grilled mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. I was perfectly full!

wow I am chattty today Have a good one ladies!

Mel...You're full of good advice today. I've thought of the ped egg, but didn't see how it was so special. The coupon club thing sounds awesome. I like the idea; I'll have to check it out. What do you do at school? I didn't realize you worked in the same field I do!

SO I have a party tonight. Friends will be here in about two hours; I hope I have enough time to clean! I have just about decided to give up on the office. The door closes...

As I was preparing, I did some sinful things with a strawberry and a bunch of chocolate. I had the dark chocolate out and waiting, ready to drown those strawberries. BUT-I ran out of berries before I ran out of regular dipping chocolate, so I had to, you know...

Anyway, I may be out of touch a bit this weekend as I help a friend celebrate her upcoming wedding. I'll talk to you all soon!

Well, I got drunk and had my way with more strawberries last night. It's a reasonable cheat, and I'm sure I didn't go over like, 100 carbs or something, but still. I'll let you know the damage tomorrow when I weigh in. I have to let the wine leech out of my system first...

BUT, we had a great time, and other than being really tired, I don't think I have a hangover. I'm off to cook bacon and eggs for breakfast...reinduction, baby!
